Well, actually there are small shoals in the animation. For Example, Like "Shadow?" He can teleport without the emerald, I realized this when I had already done most of it. However, okay, there are always shoals.
Finally, I finished it (It should have been much shorter, not 7 minutes.)

Probably the smoothest Sonic sprite animation I’ve seen on TH-cam. I like. But what I like even more is that the fight is more "grounded" if y’know what I mean. The characters aren’t flying everywhere and creating energy beams every five seconds.
I am very glad that it was noticed. Of course, "rays" (Like kamehame Goku) don't really work out. But for the most part, I like close-up battles, but even so. I want to get to the full epic. Developing)

Your sprite animation style really reminds me of Franco Animations, (Idk if he heavily inspired you or not, but they are both similar in a lotta ways), but the smoothness and groundedness of this fight is a breath of fresh air compared to flashy and fast fights. W vid man

Omg?! It’s so smooth? It’s like…not to fast or slow?? And like someone said it’s similar to Franco Animations style but upgraded. That’s not it either. The speech bubbles are a nice touch because you make it 100% clear of who’s talking and what their emotion is when speaking, and then you make everything MOVE, ugh I LOVE that, from the Character Story Art Sprite little movement to the wink at the end, amazing touch man!!
This animation is honesty very smooth and fluid, something i havent seen in such a long time. I do hope you keep improving and making more in the future man.

I’ve been consuming sonic sprite media since I was 12, and this is by far some of the best, most polished, clear and clean sprite work I’ve seen in almost a decade. Take my sub, Bravo.

Bro you have a special talent!!! I seen your work on tiktok and was highly impressed than a couple days later I run into this video and instantly recognized it was your work. The way they move, the genius choreography I can feel the amount of effort you put into this 20/10. The only other animator I was able to instantly recognize was Monty oum (My favorite 3d animator)

I had an idea for a sequence where Sonic was falling out of control, Shadow would repeatedly try to teleport and strike up, only for Sonic to deflect each attempt with Insta-Shield until he landed

I like this a lot, although I would really like it if there was more of a style factor for Shadow as well as an emphasis on his own speed other than just using energy attacks. Shadow IS a speedster, after all. He doesn't JUST teleport. I think maybe if you have him fight in a different kind of way with his speed that's more decisive and tactical, it would contrast well with Sonic's own brand of speed combat. A good balance between Shadow's actual speed and his other abilities would be a breath of fresh air, personally. I do really like this animation, though. It's really good! Keep it up, man!

This is not fake comment nor a lie. But this is my favorite and best and smoothest sonic animation i’ve ever seen, its not too fast, not too slow, its decent and how the characters would fight, and some smash bros references too! Like when the shadow android goes off screen (being flung) then it shows an arrow pointing where he is. This is the best sonic animation. Loved every second of it.

This is insanely good, I like Sonic’s fighting style here, and I liked the part where Shadow surrounds a lot of Chaos Spears around Red Android Shadow, then makes a fist, firing them all at once. Reminds me of Vergil’s Storm Swords technique in the Devil May Cry series.

I kind of like the pale skin look for shadow. It goes well with his dark edgy color fur and it’s clashes with the bright warm color of sonic, making him more of a mirror opposite
I think if I do end up making another game after the one I’m working on for knuckles
then I would definitely have shadow sprites be with a gray or pale skin tone to it
but that just me

These are formidable Eggman Robots. Should Sonic really be destroying them in the midst of a Black Arms invasion or is it better to deal with them now then later?
My only critique is that I think you need a bigger variety of hit sounds.

I like the choreography; the closure between characters makes it intense and personal. Just like a fighting game.
Most Sonic sprite animators are too influenced with DBZ that it makes their animation too flashy and lacks fluid choreography. It just feels overrated.
Your effort paid off in this animation, keep improving.

Everyone's already commented that it's smooth. Honestly it kinda throws me off, im used to super (sonic) fast paced fight scenes where you dont get much detail. It's a plus and minus. Yes the fight lfooks much better, but it kinda makes it feel (in my opinion) kind of dull. Like it dosent feel like Sonic is REALLY trying. Though this might just be me being used to other sprite-anmations.
Theres also not energy blast being thrown everywhere. While I dont think Sonic needs to be throwing Kamehameha's, Sonic does have some ranged attacks if im remembering correctly (even before Frontiers).
My only ACTUAL complaint is Shadow's Chaos Spears...i dunno they just dont look good to me.
This kind of spear from Shadow was made for the sake of Firen's reference.
Otherwise, I understand about the slowness of animation, it gets boring. I have a lot more to develop.

Few of the animators wanted to explain this in the comments, but I'll say it briefly.
Study-study and study again. I've been doing animations since 2017.
Find guides - how to make animations based on Sonic.
For the most part, these are Adobe Animate; Adobe Flash; Macromedia Flash.
And start playing with sprites and learn. If YOU are interested in this, then of course you will succeed and have potential. The main thing is time.

Seems to be biased off one of shadows endings in shadow the hedgehog
Yes shadow can teleport without an emerald since sonic forces,because the emeralds were lost in sonic generations and only apaered again in sonic frontiers
The only problem is that without a chaos emerald, shadow teleportation wont be so powerfull as it is with a chaos emerald 2:11
