Thank you for the great work especially the coffee. Mulching is a very good practice but i find it difficult to get sufficient mulching material. Can you really plant enough 'bisagazi' to mulch say 5 acres of coffee? What is your practical experience?
The mulch also cools the soil temperature reducing the heat stress on your coffee plants. You can also harvest some of the lower leaves from your bananas. Regards Michael from Durban. And by the way the newborn female goat that was born 3 weeks ago with an upset stomach and was not able to drink. I saved her.
Thanks for the information. Very valuable. Though, me i am currently implementing drip irrigation for 3 acre coffee farm. i advise farmers to try importing the accessories from China otherwise buying locally, you will run mad!
Well-done MDM, some inquiry ,which coffee seedlings resistant to diseases(ie am seeing seeds KR1, 2-7, WC of these is best in disease resistant, Type D and C seedlings, by the way what is the normal spacing during planting coffee seedlings

Mrs.Bwogi do u use water-retainer to store water for coffee plants. Another question, What fertilizers do u feed your coffee which makes coffee-leaves dark green ?
Good morning mum, am into coffee farming too in Buikwe district shortly after Mukono with about two acres so far but expanding slowly, thanks a lot for the knowledge. I wish to visit your farm anytime. Kindly let me know if you accept invites. My regards dear.
Thanks madam bwogi for the work done in coffee. My question is, my coffee normally flowers and the flowers falls off after like 4-5days. Then after like 3 months, the same story. It's now around 5times but no coffee beans yet. So is it the routine with coffee, or there's something I messed some where? With the fertilizer, I apply my cow dung in the spaces ,and in I have it in planty. Kindly give some advise. Am Oscar from Mukono
