As a gen z male I will say this Men are more consented about the economic, potential of getting drafted, being able to raise a family when we get older, living in safe neighborhoods We think about politics with an open mind, logic, and common sense Gen Z women on the other hand are almost always emotional when discussing politics Just my experience from talking to liberal women my age Like they could not explain a single Kamala proposal and why it was a good idea, all they talked about was “abortion” It hurt my brain talking to people like that
Trump could not and cannot articulate a single policy position coherently whatsoever. And the people who voted for him ate it up. He will accomplish none of what you say males want. He is the antithesis of a working person.
Well, Trump will draft them for sure. For Canada, Panama, and Greenland. And no, women are not thinking just about their emotions. Most women are thinking about their safety: protecting themselves from the dangerous risks of pregnancy (do research) and being able to maintain their jobs without discrimination. I bet you think there is only one type of abortion. I bet you didn't even kno a C-section was also an abortion. Do yourself a favor and don't have kids. This is logical and common sense. You can't see that because you lack the perception to understand any experience outside of your own. It probably hurt your brain because there isn't much up there.

@emperorvince200. I mean yeah, because it does take votes away from the 2 parties. Until we implement rank choice voting, voting third party isn’t really smart.
@PremierCCGuyMMXVI You clearly have never talked to a Libertarian lol. The people who vote 3rd party will never vote for one of the 2 main parties that's why they vote the way they do or they simply sit it out. I damn sure will be voting from now on though lol. Zero doubt about that.

I was born in 2003 and have been on the Trump Train since 2019. He’s a bit stupid and brash at times but all the shit he’s been through shows there’s something about him that makes the political establishment shit itself. Glad I got to finally cast my ballot for him in 2024. All of my friends also voted Trump
He's a conman, a misogynist, a bully, a blowhard, he has been found liable for sexual assault, he's a convicted felon, he stole documents, he has bankrupted several companies, including a casino. What he's "been through" are things of his own making.
I was born in 1998, and I was in the same boat as you in 2016. I was a big Trump guy then. It took me a few years to realize that none of the culture war stuff was important, and Trump only represents the interests of billionaires. You'll change your mind as things get more expensive and healthcare gets worse.
I’m a Taiwanese-American gen-z guy. For nearly half my life, I was raised in MN in a liberal family. In 2016, I hated Trump with a passion, in 2020, I would’ve voted for Biden if I could, now in 2024, my perception has changed. What I saw over the past 4 years was rising prices on groceries, a immigration crisis at the border, a horrible job market for us IT folks, blatant media lies about Biden’s condition, and the disastrous campaign Kamala ran. With that, I voted for the “less worse” option to bring ‘change’ for my country.
I'm coming from Southeast Asian country and had invested a lot in the latest US election. I feel like if I were American, I would have voted for Trump. Most notably because Trump's promises resonated more than Kamala's in terms of LGBT movement. I see Trump is firmer in upholding Western values and the one who is actually trying to conserve traditional norms more than the other. I mean, I'm not American, so I'm not directly affected by its domestic issues, hence I am more concerned about something spiritual. The discussion among my youth peer is so negative toward America; my friends almost associate Russia with masculinity. While there's nothing wrong with that, it shows how far Western society has fallen. I'm really concerned about the future of Christianity in the West, so that's why I'm leaning towards Trump

Left leaning men were offered nothing by the "left wing" candidate other than pejorative and condescending remarks from her and the Obamas. Why would Harris go on a podcast and say she can't think of a single law that dictates what men do with their bodies? I am a leftwing young man and I STILL had to sign up for the draft to receive a state driver's license, receive federal student aid, and to hold a govt job. But here we have a major candidate alienating young men for no reason. The argument for female bodily autonomy itsself is sufficient without speaking condescendingly at men. On the party website there is a "who we serve" panel with every group represented except men. Why would young men feel seen in this party? Young men are behind in education, employment, and are more likely to die of 14 of the leading 15 leading causes of death in the US. Yet the Democrats can't find anything to rally young men for them. I voted for Harris, but the party's messaging to young men was abysmal.
No, gen z men are trending right wing especially white gen z men, democrats tried to use Tim walz to try to win over young men and it just didn't work, 56% of young men voted for Trump while 58% of young women voted for harris so there was a big gender divide in this election for gen z
I was one of those first time voters in 1972 like you are today. Wanted that war to end. We were loud, vocal, pessimistic, and rebellious. I supported the Democrats. The last time I ever did. I went out into the world and got to see the real picture. The Democrats then, like now are nothing but Communists under a Halloween costume. If you like that, go for them. I learned that my freedom was most important. My right to fail, my right to succeed. People have to be accountable for the life they live and bear a responsibility to this great republic.
Yea gonna be even worse for the left in the future cause they made places like California and New York, such dogshit places to live that the people leaving them looking for a better quality of life is actually going to make blue states worth less electoral votes and red states worth more. They reappoint with the census every 10 years. Never thought I’d see interstate migration be a sizable factor.

A large percent of Gen Z have lied about who they voted for when asked by friends and family. That's a big problem in itself. A lot of young people would rather not think about it or deal with it at all if it's going to cause interpersonal conflict. Being a young person today is already stressful enough without somebody calling you transphobic or a woke snowflake based solely on who you voted for. Hell, I've lost friends for not SAYING who I voted for because "refusing to say" must mean I voted in the opposite way that they did.

@@Floppydragon69we can worry about that if the time ever comes. The left however was doing a rights=freedom without any real obligations campaign. Such policy has been for the past 60 (some would say more) breaking apart all our intermediary civic institutions (clubs, associations, churches). Because all those things require obligations along with rights. Families require obligations above autonomy and consent and autonomy and consent are the Democrats top values when considering any social policy. So they are bad for societal flourishing right now whereas Trump might be bad in 4 years. Easy pick. Furthermore, having a democratic republic requires the feeling of being one people. Of having enough in common that losing doesn't feel like the end of the world. But by breaking apart the types of intermediary institutions and declaring everyone autonomous rights bearing creatures without equivalent obligations, the left has made every election existential. So if it turns out democracy isn't going to work out. (And I very much hope it does). Better the person in charge be right wing then a progressive social engineer.
Social media changed politics. Period. I know its been around a while, but it takes time. Paradigm shifts do not happen overnight regardless of the technology involved. That and you cant lie to the people and fool them about their money and safety. Duh!!!

Young people don’t watch mainstream media, they research things on their own via the Internet. Therefore the establishment candidate- whether Republican or Democrat -has less sway than they did in the past.
Unfortunately, their entire campaign was centered around abortion an issue that affected 0.5% of Americans every year, Not to mention that states actually put the issue of abortion on the ballot which basically eliminated Kamalas main talking point.

0:52 "I decided to not vote because I wanted to learn more about each party". Where is the logic?? If you want to learn more about each party, then do it. Dont wait until after the election and continue to say you want to learn more. Just be honest and say you dont care about politics or the wellbeing of our country. If you truly wanted to learn more, and it was a priority, you would have done it. If you had even learned about both parties and THEN decided to abstain, that would be more valid than just failing to educate yourself.

@@Saucey- You are missing my point. If his ultimate and true reason for being undecided before the election was that he wanted to learn more, that is fine. But the evidence is that he didn't seek out that information enough to decide for a party or decide not to vote, because he's still claiming this as the reason. If it were a priority for him, then he would have done it. Clearly learning more about each party wasnt enough of a priority to decide on a candidate or not. Internet and Tiktok propaganda made you vote for the wrong person I believed 😅 Paying attention pays off people don't get distracted
As a gen z male I will say this
Men are more consented about the economic, potential of getting drafted, being able to raise a family when we get older, living in safe neighborhoods
We think about politics with an open mind, logic, and common sense
Gen Z women on the other hand are almost always emotional when discussing politics
Just my experience from talking to liberal women my age
Like they could not explain a single Kamala proposal and why it was a good idea, all they talked about was “abortion”
It hurt my brain talking to people like that
Trump could not and cannot articulate a single policy position coherently whatsoever.
Wm didn't just vote based on their emotions. Do you know the risks of pregnancy? Do research otherwise don't even think about being with a wm and starting a family. Most women voted to protect themselves from those risks. That is logical and sensible. You voted based on this odd perception that a billionaire will somehow stop the draft. Where is the logic in that? A billionaire will care that you don't have a job? You can count your bottom dollar you won't be able to raise any type of family with this attitude.
The most unsafe states are red. If only you did research.

lmao, I remember this former classmate of mine who cried on their Instagram story over the election while also shaming people who voted 3rd-party/independent/nothing
Those voters don't care about winning as much as voting for the candidate they feel best represents their values even if they can't win, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Rank choice voting is not better btw just look at Alaska
@The-The why doesn’t rank choice voting work?
@@The-The I can vouch for your statement. I am a Gen Z guy that voted for Chase Oliver, the Libertarian candidate for the 2024 election. I didn’t vote lol. I’ve estimated the last 3 Presidential elections correctly. Whether Biden won legitimately or not, I just had the feeling he was going into the White House no matter what.
Social media is a good way to determine who has the strongest chance of winning. Once Trump started going on podcasts, I knew it was over for Kamala for sure.
I damn sure will be voting from now on though lol. Zero doubt about that.
If you stand for nothing you fall for everything. Girl couldn’t name one thing Kamala did, we need to stop voting ignorantly. If you don’t know her policies and resume, how can you know she’s the better candidate?

Good balance this video provides.

It’s clear left leaning men sat out.

As a leftist to claim Democrats are "cOmMuNiSt" is insulting. They're Center-Left overall.

The purpose of the electoral college is not that hard to understand if you have more than one braincell.

Yea gonna be even worse for the left in the future cause they made places like California and New York, such dogshit places to live that the people leaving them looking for a better quality of life is actually going to make blue states worth less electoral votes and red states worth more. Trump being *Pro Bitcoin* was a *HUGE* factor!
Yeah let’s hope he was serious about term limits. Haven’t heard him mention a word since he was elected.
