Thank you for sharing this. I'm very glad to see that so many Black Metal fans are open to dark acoustic folk music, for Wolcensmen was born under the sign of Black Metal.
@@kristiansimpson8899 Feel free Kristian! Just to be clear - Wolcensmen is NOT Black Metal (or Doom Metal). It is Dark, Acoustic Folk music; But it was influenced heavily by the atmospheres and philosophies of Black Metal.
I was in a music shop today, and saw this digipack with "Songs from the Fyrgen" and "Songs from the Mere". The artwork was really good looking, so I took a closer look. I saw the titles behind were in a special language; what I thought was Scots leid at first. So I did a quick research on my phone to make sure, and was able to read about the music, but wasn't able to listen to something online because the connexion was bad. So I decided to go blindly and buy the CD anyways and... wow! I do not regret it! Remind me a lot of Ulver's "Kveldssang" and I was looking for something equally great as this album, and I think I found it!!
I know Varg is very hesitant to listen to music his fans/followers send him links to,but I think this would be right up his alley. Imagine Varg doing spoken vocals and playing the lyre for these guys.

Yes, new Wolcensmen + Bathory cover. This couldn't have come at a better time. Thanks!
Beautiful, mesmerizing music from an extraordinary musician. The cover of "Man of Iron" is simply brilliant, even surpasses the original.
