Nice tip ...thankyou thats just what ive been looking for .....i also do ten 3 min rounds with a hand speed drill 2 rounds with 3kg and 2 with 2kg then bck to 3kg for 2 2kg for 2 an finall finish on 3kg for 2

Think of the place you want to land an impact, like think of the impact landing, not of moving the hand to it and do that then strike there.
You should feel coiling buildup inside you when you think of the impact striking, then you unleash it

Also, plyometic pushup (clap optional)
Milk the eccentric (downward) motion for at least 3 seconds.
I would alternate between pausing in the dip (max muscle growth) and "bouncing" out of the pocket for shock/resiliency conditioning for the shoulder in general.

Just tried it! Brutal but fun. The lightest dumbbell I have is 10lbs so it was probably too heavy for me.

Would you recommend using a 4 pound (~2 kg) ball instead of a dumbbell? The benefit of that is I think that it trains your grip strength, and if that falls on your foot, you're less likely to break it (especially if you're doing it above your bed). What do you think?

Oh, that's a good idea. When I saw the weight before watching the video the first thing I thought was, oh, that's a bad idea. I thought you were going to be punching hard and fast with the weight.
