People need to know this is how Girl's Day line distribution would be . Minah always on the top and Sojin next after her while 2 members will switch rank between 3rd and 4th . *DAI5Y knew this gonna be happen*
K-HOLIC THANK YOU SO MANY KPOP FANS DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT A CERTAIN MEMBER GETS THE MOST LINES BECAUSE THEY'RE THE MAIN VOCAL like it makes me irritated
this is actually.... fair lol. minah is their main vocalist so she takes on the high notes and sojin is the lead vocalist, meaning she gets most of the chorus etc of the song. hyeri and yura had the same amount of lines considering their vocal ability and positions... but can we not focus on the distribution and focus on how these girls made an amazing comeback and are hardworking?!
Just a point about vocal ability: People have different ranges for their singing. Having a lower range isn't an indicator of less skill, just as having a higher range isn't an indicator of more skill. If the producers and writers wanted to make the line distribution at least somewhat even, they'd have to write songs in different keys. You can't ask an alto to have the same power for high notes, as a soprano would, and that isn't necessary. Another way around the issue is to harmonize more. This is quite a bit harder than just taking turns for lines, as you have to learn to listen to other singers in a different way. I find it odd, that in Pop music, even when you have several good singers in a group, you seldom hear them harmonize live. Considering the whole trainee-program most K-Pop artists go through, I find it a waste of resources not to teach harmonizing more. We know theses people have the ability to learn this vital musical skill. Any group that can do even a bit of it always stands out in their live performances (Gugudan, EXID, Red Velvet, BTS come to mind, though there are more groups who can do it). Often, even if the group can harmonize well, the production and composition of the song is done in a way, where they just don't. That's kinda daft, IMO. Overall, I think most groups could do a lot better, if they used more vocal harmonies in their songs and especially during live performances. This would also allow for better use for the different ranges each singer has, thus removing the issue of having one or 2 singers dominate the lines, and the rest be left with scraps. I'll admit, I've only heard GirlsDay's singles, so I don't know about their other tracks, but I'd suspect the same style of writing and producing is happening on non-title tracks as well?
you may find this unfair but all gsd fans knew that it would be like that moreover this song has a lot of high notes that hyeri or yura wouldn't reach so it's normal to give them to their main vocal minah. also the thing is yura is a rapper and rappers are usually within the last because their part isn't about time but about syllabes. for hyeri she just doesn't have the same technique as sojin and minah so it's normal that she have less line than them. to finish i know this isn't exactly fair but think about all i just said and it will maybe make it fairer
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMMENTING!! So many "fans" are complaining that their bias isn't getting enough lines and are jealous of the members who did get more lines... but seriously? This is basically Girl's Day. Minah is the main vocalist who can handle high notes and Sojin is the lead vocalist. Don't people know they don't choose the lines themselves, but the producers do. The girls (Sojin and Minah) each have to sing the part and whoever the producer thinks the part fits the best, they'll get it. Hyeri and Yura are sub vocalists and rappers. They're vocal ability isn't as great as Sojin and Minah's, so what's the problem? They're given a position for a reason, because that's their specialty. You wouldn't give someone a position as a main vocalist if they can't even sing, right? Let's be honest here and also support the girls whether or not you care so much about the distribution.
jinhongified exactly what i was thinking ! and it's not like they aren't shining in the video even if they don't have that much lines they're shining somehow ! i just want people to stop complaining because this is a gsd line distribution and all their distribution are like that
i kinda hope yura and hyeri get at least 30sec in this comeback song, but nevermind, this is normal for girls day... minah and sojin sing almost the whole song.. nothing new...
YASSS!!! I am always happy when main vocalists get lots and lots of lines! It only makes sense that way lol! Minah vocals slaying hard! Thank you Hexagon 💕
I wish Sojin could've had the part from 2:12 to 2:20 ;; But during the last chorus where Minah is doing all the adlib, Sojin is still singing the chorus so her time should be closer to 60secs ^^ Hyeri and Yura get a lot of lines in Love Again, it's nice to see them promoting a song in their deeper vocal range. Dream T is still fair as far as their vocal ability goes. ^^
TBH its fair, yura and hyeri usually gets this amount of lines and this song isn't that easy to sing with the intense dance so... i hope people dont leave mean comments...
Minah rocked her lines and its not like she didn't deserve them but literally half of the song is excessive. Sure give the lines that she'll be able to handle the best to her but there were plenty of parts the other members would've done great with. Main vocalists should get more lines but carrying the song...? And to everyone saying "this is normal. We expected it so it's fine." Just because their line distribution is consistently unfair doesn't make it less unfair...
Idk abt you guys but I find this distribution fair. When it comes to the MV and the live performances, they don't overshadow each other. Even tho Minah has the most lines, I don't find it unfair like how I feel when it comes to Sistar's distribution~ love this comeback though
because being an idol is not always about singing and having a lot of lines in the group? Yura is really popular and so is Hyeri. They both are good at other things such as tv programs or acting (Hyeri). A member in a kpop group doesn't always need to sing a lot. There is many ways to contribute to the group.
Hyeri and Yura are too weak vocally to sing many lines in a song several times a day and get good performance each time. Similary Sojin although she can hit high notes. She herself said she not vocally strong enough to sing high notes as many times in row which is why Minah does it. They were assigned the parts where they could give the best performance.
I believe Yura actually sings the first part of the final chorus and Hyeri sings the second part from watching the live stage so it’s a little bit more fair.
I think you shouldn't count minah's high note cause all the other members sings too during all the choruses so minah's high note time and her share in the chorus part could be count as one? Please do line distributions for teen top songs (To You, Missing, Miss Right, Ah Ah, Crazy) like a countdown to their comeback since it've been awhile since their last comeback. I really love your line distributions videos 🙇🙇🙇💕
this isn't actually such a big surprise and i kinda think this is pretty fair since minah is main vocal and sojin is lead vocal and i mean rappers (yura) usually get the least lines so i mean
Unfair just unfair don't get me wrong I love them so much but it's kinda unfair for Mina to get the most and sojin gets second most and hyeri and yura switching from fourth and third
Why the ____ do Minah always get so many lines? Yeah, she's very, very popular, but can't she just be in the center of the choreography all the time instead? The others can sing too.. :(
nope, Hyeri is the most popular member. But, keep in mind, Minah is the main vocal, Hyeri is good too, but her voice just doesn't have the power. Yura is a rapper and a sub vocal, so its understandable.

HYERL_0609 (Matt) I think most fans knew that but sometimes they can't help like what happened with "I Like That" Sistar.
yeah we Dai5y know this fair , another fandom should shut up their mouth cause they donno anything lol
Bless ur soul 👏🏼👏🏼
dang minah nearly reached the end of the screen LOL

btsvelvet 챌씨 Also Hyeri and Yura have more screen time hehe 😉 so it's a good deal 😉
btsvelvet 챌씨 right! plus in there second title track "love again." Yura and hyeri are the centers their. So it is a fair trade
ARE YOU SERIOUS. THE LINE DISTRIBUTION IS ALREADY OUT? Wow. Good job .
*Yura's rap tho*
i kinda hope yura and hyeri get at least 30sec in this comeback song, but nevermind, this is normal for girls day... minah and sojin sing almost the whole song.. nothing new...
Wonho Is Mine if the last chorus included in the counting, they'll get 30s i think
Ervan Zulianto all member singing shouldnt be count...
In expect they get like 25/30 seconds
My bias is Hyeri, but I don't mind this line distribution. Its always been like this so Im not shocked 😂 Im just happy they came back. ❤️💘 #SupportGSD
ARE YOU KIMBAP KIDDING ME I know Hyeri isn't that good at singing but personally I thought her voice sounded so good here???
Yeah she improved alot from Expectation Era, tbh :D
oh our hyeri so proud got more lines she improved so much !!!
*Pretends to be shocked*
Hyeri has more lines than Yura. That's a weird thing
People on here complaining about line distribution and not appreciating their comeback.
like.. duh... minah is one of kpops most talented vocalists so ofc shell get a lot of lines.. their songs should showcase her voice
YASSS!!! I am always happy when main vocalists get lots and lots of lines! It only makes sense that way lol! Minah vocals slaying hard! Thank you Hexagon 💕
sojin actually sings at the last chorus and minah sings as an adlib(the higher part). in the live you can hear them both clearly.
I wish Sojin could've had the part from 2:12 to 2:20 ;; But during the last chorus where Minah is doing all the adlib, Sojin is still singing the chorus so her time should be closer to 60secs ^^

hyeri and yura's (bias) vocal potential are always overlooked and underrated. They obviously do well to be in a group and should get more lines.
i love this videos so much and minah's voice 💜.
Minah's vocal is so good ^^
why is Hyeri so pretty....omg
Why does Minah sound so cute with this pitch??😍

When will they comeback :( they are slowly fading :(
It's totally fair when Minah gets nearly 50%...
The fuck think about it twice.
Belfiani Sabiya Iskandar lol ikr but it's still unfair

Still fairer than Sistar line distributions
Tbh I expected as much. This song was basically made for Sojin and Minah, so they got the most parts.
