39:40 but sir in oceanography lec videos of youtube you have told that coriolis force will not act on the objects moving in E-W direction. Coriolis force will act upon the objects moving from N to S or S to N.
And if the Coriolis force is acting on objects moving from E-W direction, then in case of geostrophic currents the wind which is moving parallel to isobars, further coriolis force will act upon them and they will not be parallel to isobars anymore then their flow pattern will be somewhat circular ?

Geostrophic current results when there is balance between pressure gradient force and coriolis force, coriolis force keep deflecting the air parcel continuously till air started moving parallel to isobars, after that point, a perfect balance between the two force came into existence and further deflection of air parcel is stopped.
