I loved seeing Daryl kick @$$!!! As always. The way he is about his vest and bike, I've always felt like he could've been in Sons of Anarchy alongside Jax Teller 😅.
Daryl going off on Laurent like that was absolutely brilliant, if very disturbing, writing. Daryl was an abused child, and that tirade was his father coming out, saying all the horrible things his father said to him, probably hundreds of times. As an adult survivor of child abuse, that scene hit me across the jaw, but I know that the writers got it right.
Don't know if you caught it but, on the ship, the two pits of walkers were labelled. One was labelled "Fast" and the other "Feed" and the pit that they throw the first guy into and try to throw Daryl into was the "Feed" pit. That means one pit was fasting on the voyage while the other pit was to be fed. So, the only reason Daryl and the other guy were brought aboard alive is because they needed "food" for that set of walkers and could study fed versus fasted walkers.
she was talking about how the scientists who created these new variant walkers are the same ones that created the virus basically meaning it was created in a lab and also hinting back to s1 of twd when Dr. Jenner said the virus started in france. hope this helped!

Yes, she was talking about rebuilding a new French state, a Sixth Republic. We’re currently in the French Fifth Republic, which would have fallen like all the governments and states when the apocalypse broke out. Her description of early events may not necessarily be true. She’s trying to legitimize the new state that she wants to build. People have often depicted history to justify what they want to do next. Then again, maybe she was telling the truth. 😮 Also maybe take a look at pics of Mont Saint Michel on the internet. That’s the structure that Daryl and Laurent were trying to get to. You can see from pics how it would be a strong base during an apocalypse. The English were never able to conquer it during all their wars with France in the Middle Ages.
The way they upgraded the zombies is really one of the best way they could have taken. It feels scary once again and even more tricky to handle running zombies!
Laurent is a Kid like Judith. She withheld information in fear of being left behind by Daryl. Laurent cut the rope for the same reason, keeping Daryl close.
The speech of the lady is about how the ''Elite'' rule over the poor, and she said the Elites have caused the apocalypse ! It's a populist speech similar on how Napoleon did, talking about the rule of de nobility on France. (Sorry if i made some mistake on the words, hugs from Brazil ! )
I'm going to guess it is actually Morgan who made it back or Dwight perhaps. But I'll go with Morgan. He left the 'Fear The Walking Dead' to find Rick, so I think he made it to the common wealth trying to find the group
There's a theory going around that Carol said Zeke's cancer came back, which would explain why she didn't sound happy. But the show wants us to think that it's Rick, so they teased it that way. Showrunner David Zabel said in an EW interview that what Carol told Daryl was not what people are expecting, so I'm pretty sure it's not Rick or Morgan. And probably not Michonne, Dwight or Heath, either.
I fully agree that she's talking about Ezekiel's cancer. If you listen closely, it sounds like Carol says "Daryl....it.... came back." If it were Rick, Michonne or even Morgan or Dwight, she would have said something immediately.

Also, coupled with what the showrunner said about it not being something that most people may assume and having more to do with Carol's journey leads me to believe that it's more about Carol than anyone. Obviously none of us are going to know anytime soon I highly doubt so all we can do is speculate I suppose.
Well at this point Morgan left fear to return to Alexandria to find Rick and in the final six episodes of fear we are going to see Dwight and sherry return to the sanctuary so could be any of them. I do think she said Rick though and not Michonne which makes me wonder if that’s why she sounds down because maybe Michonne dies.

The main show never said where or how the apocalypse started but i really dont think its France because in season 1, the doctor in the CDC (Jenner) said that France was the last place to fall down. So its probably not the starting place but still, France might have had something special to hold on as long as he said they did. And also course, great video 😁
Morgan has to be the one that came back. He was trying to reach Rick on his walkie talkie to tell him he was headed back on Fear’s season finale. Carol would have lead off with Rick I think. Because Rick was the main reason Daryl ventured off.
Kirkman has said more than once that he did not ever want to give the actual detailed cause of it because you can never win & people would always be picking it apart
Remember what the doctor said at the cdc in the episode "ts-19" at the very end of season 1? He said "it was the French" He was vary vague on what he meant by that but if you ever see the very end of "world beyond" in the credit scene you get more detail about what The cdc doctor knew about the French and how the rise of the dead started. I recommend watching the end of world beyond regardless if your interested in the series itself.
You mentioned everyone that could be coming back, except Heath. However, because it was an afterthought by Carol and sounding subdued. I'm thinking it might be Dwight from FTWD or if it was Rick, then maybe Rick led the CRM to the Commonwealth (However, Rick never SAW the Commonwealth, so maybe it's Alexandria) and they are now occupied by the CRM, much like the communities from World Beyond. She seemed really guarded in her conversation with Daryl. I'm thinking Genet and her variant army will follow Daryl and Laurent to the Commonwealth in her conquest of the world. The CRM might join forces with the Commonwealth to fight the French walker army and Laurent's blood is used as a cure.

What im thinking is rick came back, but CRM Foumd the commonwealth, and rules over them😭 and thats why she was scared to say anything about rick because the phones are being monitored. Naw it's not phones it's radios and they were always monitored on the show. If she was scared she wouldn't use a real name. She wouldn't have nonchalantly said Rick was back. And in the trailer for the last episodes of Fear, Dwight and Sherry are supposed to be coming back to the Sanctuary so it's a possibility they could return to Alexandria as well.
i think if you watched fear season 8 mid season finale it was morgans last episode and he goes back to king county truly a great episode and to me makes more sense why morgan will turn up to alexandra

French is a subject in high school you must take for 3 years here so i kinda get the jist of what is being said without subtitles but I absolutely love some of the show being in French.

It’s either Morgan or Dwight. Carol would’ve yelled right away if it was Rick or Michonne. I doubt anyone in the group even remembers Heath. I think Dead City is taking place a couple of years later by looking at Herschels’ age, so I don’t think it’s Maggie or Negan. That’s my guess
I think carol said Dwight came back! There has never been an explanation of how it started. Season one Jenner at the CDC said doctors in France were the closest to figuring it out! That is the closest reverence we have had. Recently ROBERT KIRKMAN said in an interview that the CDC EPISODE IN THE ORIGINAL TWD SHOW WAS HIS BIGEST REGRET! He said it was to much information given to soon regarding the origin. I am like come on and just tell us already!
Someone thought it might be Dwight that came back since he was traveling with Morgan. I guess I need to watch Fear. I couldnt get into those other characters and found it hard to watch. Maybe I'll watch it in 10 min increments, force myself. LOL

My son's dad has, as he says himself, Rest $h!+ face. My son has the same look. I have a Easter picture (my son was a week old) of them both and they both have the same expression on their faces. When my son was about 10, his dad took him to his work, and a coworker seen them both walking and told his dad "Oh my God, he has that same look as you, poor boy" Lol. My son, though, also has a look that somehow would get him free things at yard sales, and when hot, looks miserable, in turn many people have bought him cold drinks.
I agree Steven, Carol 100% would’ve been far more excited & led with Rick being the one to come back if it were him. I feel it won’t be Rick/Michonne & is likely Morgan (maaaybe Jadis or Dwight/Sherry) because… 1. Too obvious 2. Carol would've led/been more excited with/for that 3. Why would it be something she has to get used to? 4. Timelines seem off 5. Carol & Morgan were beefing half the time already so Morgan could be tough to get used to for sure

I'm not against the idea of experimenting on walkers to find a cure or anything but I feel like there are more to these experiments than meets the eye, I feel like the variants are related to these experiments and if that is the case why would they make walkers more agile and perceptive?
I think it’s SUPER telling that, after the kids, the very first name Daryl mentioned was Connie. There is clearly still a relationship there, and D isn’t wanting to get back to Carol, he wants to get back to Connie. I think that’s the “promise” he made.
Nikki and Steven, Did you guys watched "The Walking Dead World Beyond" ? If you haven't then you'll unterstand more of the twd universe with the walkers, crm, etc. You really should give it a try. Maybe during the time between season 2 of Dead City and Daryl Dixon is being filmed 😊 Lot's of greets❤
@@NikkiStevenReact WB actually get's really good, especially in season 2. Also it's only 2 seasons so very short series, and also Jadis(the trash lady) is in it she shows up. You also learn more about the CRM the people who took Rick.

I was more referencing the not difficult part. Lots of people struggle with reading subtitles for various reasons. Learning disability, eye sight issues or lots of other possible reasons.

It’s either Morgan or Dwight. Carol would’ve yelled right away if it was Rick or Michonne. I doubt anyone in the group even remembers Heath. I think Dead City is taking place a couple of years later by looking at Herschels’ age, so I don’t think it’s Maggie or Negan. That’s my guess

I think carol said Dwight came back! There has never been an explanation of how it started. Season one Jenner at the CDC said doctors in France were the closest to figuring it out! That is the closest reverence we have had. Recently ROBERT KIRKMAN said in an interview that the CDC EPISODE IN THE ORIGINAL TWD SHOW WAS HIS BIGEST REGRET! He said it was to much information given to soon regarding the origin. I am like come on and just tell us already!

Someone thought it might be Dwight that came back since he was traveling with Morgan. I guess I need to watch Fear. I couldnt get into those other characters and found it hard to watch. Maybe I'll watch it in 10 min increments, force myself. LOL

For me it sounds like carol said guess (cut out who ) came back and carol would he surprised if it’s Morgan because how both Rick and carol made an appearance in fear 4x1 to have him come back and not hide and run away and Morgan leaving fear to come back looking for Rick and after carol not seeing Morgan for 9 years she’s like hey Daryl guess who came back Morgan he’s looking for Rick

My son's dad has, as he says himself, Rest $h!+ face. My son has the same look. I have a Easter picture (my son was a week old) of them both and they both have the same expression on their faces. When my son was about 10, his dad took him to his work, and a coworker seen them both walking and told his dad "Oh my God, he has that same look as you, poor boy" Lol. My son, though, also has a look that somehow would get him free things at yard sales, and when hot, looks miserable, in turn many people have bought him cold drinks.

I agree Steven, Carol 100% would’ve been far more excited & led with Rick being the one to come back if it were him.
I feel it won’t be Rick/Michonne & is likely Morgan (maaaybe Jadis or Dwight/Sherry) because…
1. Too obvious
2. Carol would've led/been more excited with/for that
3. Why would it be something she has to get used to?
4. Timelines seem off
5. Carol & Morgan were beefing half the time already so Morgan could be tough to get used to for sure

But would Carol actually say Rick came back or Rick is alive if she was talking about him? After all, most believe that Rick is dead, just a thought

I'm not against the idea of experimenting on walkers to find a cure or anything but I feel like there are more to these experiments than meets the eye, I feel like the variants are related to these experiments and if that is the case why would they make walkers more agile and perceptive?

If you haven't then you'll unterstand more of the twd universe with the walkers, crm, etc. You really should give it a try. Maybe during the time between season 2 of Dead City and Daryl Dixon is being filmed 😊

@@NikkiStevenReact WB actually get's really good, especially in season 2. Also it's only 2 seasons so very short series, and also Jadis(the trash lady) is in it she shows up. You also learn more about the CRM the people who took Rick.

I was more referencing the not difficult part. Lots of people struggle with reading subtitles for various reasons. Learning disability, eye sight issues or lots of other possible reasons.
