MAN TGX 540 & SCANIA R580 V8 logging truck Kielder Northumberland timber haulage hauling footage

Pete Younger's Scania V8 580 and G.Douglas MAN tgx 540. Hauling 4.9 x 24 spruce logs from Stonefell Kielder Northumberland to A.J.Scotts sawmill Wooperton. Footage is of the track in Keilder on way out to the tarmac c220 heading towards the dam.

Where do they get these ideas from sitting on your arse taking in all that natural beauty maybe they should try it, it takes some skill to get that baby in out of that forest especially when the ground is wet or even better when there is snow on it 8feet wide 65 feet long 44 tons I know I have done the job but retired now my son does the same job as you boys he drives for R.W.Powell from WEM in Shropshire he has a V8 Scania as well even road drivers would not take this on never mind what these dead heads say boys grest drive nice and calm and must say loved the views nice to see professional drivers for a change instead of some young nut case behind the wheel with a transport manager saying hurry up they are waiting for that thanks for posting this video really enjoyed it and slightly envious of both off you lol take care boys thanks again.
