ASE A1 Piston does not reach TDC because of a bent rod

This ASE question talks about a piston that does not get to TDC (Top Dead center.) The cause is a rod is bent from Hydrolock. The technician runs a compression test, and it is low, but the vehicle passes a leak down fine.

I think I did this on my older Yamaha R6, gas filled the cylinder a few times and I tried to start it. Feels down on power now. Hard to tell though.
