I am getting good vibes about Schmeichel in a Celtic shirt. And I'm getting good vibes about this team heading into the start of the new season.
I'm so freaking excited to see Schmeichel in Celtic. I don't follow teams but players instead, mostly goalkeepers, and it's quite a thrill for me to see him coming to Celtic.

Great game to watch, Celtic looked fantastic in the way they moved the ball , the goals were class and Schmeichel still looks formidable in goal, man of the match obviously Kühn with two great goals , hope his form continues into the season . Kyogo took his goal well too 👍

Scales strikes me as one of those guys that was signed purely to placate the section of our fan base that thinks being Irish inherently makes you an ideal Celtic player, regardless of how good you actually are at football.

Even though this was a pre-season friendly, what impressed me was the fact that they got this win away from home.
Celtic have always had a hoodoo at away grounds but in this game they had the confidence to play at an away venue.

I was able to attend. What stuck out to me was how much better conditioned the Celtics were. were. Some of those breakaways were just plain old out running the opponent. Great to watch

That Ortega in goals for City is mince! I know it's a friendly, but, their defence couldn't live with Kuhn and Daizen in the first half. Hoping to see more of that from Kuhn going into the season, defensively we were weak. I love Ralston, but he needs to be more aggressive. Welsh has spells where you think he has it, but he always inevitably drops off. Hopefully we'll see Johnston and CCV in against Chelsea. Schmeichel was a fucking rock.. bit unlucky for the first, but Scales could've kept it out if he didn't stutter and kept his run going.. That aside, looking ready for the start of the season. Even Big Kwon looked brilliant in the buildup to the last goal, finishing with the assist!
I wish we'd stop wasting minutes on Mikey.. I get that he showed his abilities for West Brom last season, but, we are very much a unselfish team, and Mikey Johnston is very much a ME player, which is fine if you have an end product, but, he doesn't.. every one of us know he can't do it in a Celtic shirt. He's only ever gonna be a bit part player at best. Give Yang more gametime or one of our youngsters. Donovan at RB looked much more capable than Ralston bombing up the wing too, and he's only 17/18yo.
Would like to see Daizen get a run out up front against Chelsea in the second half. I know we'd miss his blistering pace on the wing, but... for science!

Don’t take too much out of this, pre season means nothing but fitness, however very happy with Kaspar in goal and Kuhn looks great and raring to go. Just need a striker as backup to kyogo, another centre back as good as carter vickers cause scales isn’t quite there and Welsh is certainly not good enough. Bring back tierney aswell and we are good to go 😁
