I love this offense and learned a few new tricks from this video great vid. I actually came looking to see if there’s a way to run the freelance every possession instead of having to select it every inbound?? Great vid anyways bro!
The short answer is that they don’t really work in unison.. the long answer is Playbooks and freelances work independently. Think of freelances as repeating loops from different spots on the floor, meant to generate good scoring opportunities. And plays as specific actions that do not loop (or repeat). Some plays from a teams playbook may contain a specific part of freelance of the same team.. for example the triangle offense has repeated actions from different spots on the floor and there are plays in the 96 bulls and 01 lakers playbooks that will use one of those “freelance actions” that you can call at any time. The key with both plays and freelances is to know them well enough that you have a natural flow, not just standing in a spot waiting for the diagrams to pop up. Pop into a stream some day and I can talk about it more in depth 👍
Your best off with maybe a 4 out 1 in or with the warriors freelance. I use Lamar Odom a lot and he’ll automatically stay back to take the ball up court off the inbound. So just initiate the offense with your point-forward
Yeah I lab up the freelance in scrimmage just to see what branches pop up from different spots on the floor, then practice offline in like Domination (MyTeam). Then once I know it I try it online.
Don't know how I bumped onto this. Anyway Damn good clip ❤️😄. I also watched those similar from mStarTutorials and kinda wonder how you guys make these stuff. MStar Tutorials also had cool info about similiar things on his channel.
Just came across this freelance & I love it. Options for everyone & forces you to spread the ball
Awesome doing the research to show everyone how to run offenses!
Complete gold video right here. I play with the Jazz a lot.

Great stuff. Glad I found this! I am completely new to NBA 2K. How does a team's playbook work in unison with freelance?

@@ProjectElevate Thanks for the explanation!
Do you know what freelance would suit a point forward type player like draymond green etc?

What do you go into to practice these freelances? I’m having a hard time on finding anything besides scrimmage.
