I decided to come back to this video because I just had the best moment using this build. Me and two other players were fighting Lydusa and no matter what build we tried, we couldn't beat her. Only once did we get to the dps check at the end but we couldn't do it. Until, I took out this savior build. I went down at her second part. She was at her dps check. My teammate revived me and I never shot so fast in my life. The savior took her down like it was nothing. The savior was our savior that day. Thank you Bolt for reviving my love for this weapon.

This was my first ever Hunter/Gunslinger build - im usually never building towards specific weapons or ranged damage in general.
When i saw the buff to Savior and i saw Feathery Binding/Worn Dog Tags, i wondered if i could make a gimmicky insta-charge build for the Savior. I've always wanted this gun to be good and feel good, and it definitely seems to have worked out for both!
Nice to see this weapon finally hitting some potential, and in what I initially thought would be a gimmicky build especially! The fact it performs this well with just the one crit trinket is pretty wild.
Yea its not even gimmicky at all that's the best part!
And yea the damage is crazy and utilizes basically no direct damage trinkets which is awesome.
The crit isn't really needed. Can stick to additive damage bonuses like destroyer, stone of expanse, etc, I just found the crit on AWB a bit more reliable and bring us up to about 62.5% crit chance, which is decent after all the nerfs to crit.

I'll continue to play around with my setup as well now I've seen your take on it - currently I've just been sticking to Braided Thorns for the easy 10% crit chance, but I'll definitely give those other rings a shot as well
It was a pretty early slapped together build when I shared it on Reddit without testing other possibilities - it felt good enough to share but it has only gotten better with community input!
Another thing I love is that Shatterstar comes back surprisingly quickly after about a full mag of shots, which with this fire rate feels very good. The satisfaction of grouped enemies getting obliterated by Shatterstar is incredibly fun!

Another good ring to use if you want some tankiness/survivability is the close loop ring. You will basically have 25% shield up at all times. Could be useful for mobbing
That's a good call, I thought that ring seemed interesting when it dropped!
I was a big fan of shield-related stuff like generating band paired with whichever one creates a shield upon using stamina, so a permanent shield here would be really interesting.
Also, I took this build into Forgotten Commune (ya know, the altars and all the frogs). It absolutely melted - with the amount of enemies in a small area, alternating between shooting enemies and the altar to spread damage everywhere was hilariously fun. It was the quickest I've done those altars - usually that dungeon can be a real pain but the amount of AoE from the mod made it a breeze.
I think something else worth noting is the Savior charged shots seem to penetrate well - through multiple enemies, the annoying N'erud shields directly to their weakpoints, and it seems to pop open the frog weakspots easily too
@TheRealCurrants haha noice! Forgotten community is a pain. And yea I think all charged weapons have the ability to penetrate iirc. Pretty neat!

Yea bulletstorm pretty much just as good so dont worry. That 15% crit chance is no joke!

Worn dog tag really plays a crucial role in charge rifles, since it drastically cut down on the interval between shots.
Perhaps you could give corrupted deceit a try with the item :D
I tested briefly with deceit and it deems deceit has diminishing returns in terms of charged speed I'll keep testing tho

Something I’ve always wondered about is why you throw a Brightstone Grenade before entering a boss arena? What does this do for you?
Thank you! I do it to dodge it and self proc the akari warband ability. It's just a tryhard thing to do to get a lil extra cheeky damage in, in the beginning of the fight 😂

I personnaly still use the Deceit like you use before in hardcore runs i hadd a lot of fun watching them cause you played accuretly,my ring's on her is like Faerin's & Faelin's sigil with archer's crest with Zania's Malice, paired with One true king sigil so it double their effect for mass mod generations with of course mutator supercharger , and with bulletstorm i believe it goes to like 100% projectile speed.
Keep in mind that one true king sigil does not buff the damage on deceit, only the sword throw, so you are missing out on big damage!
@@BoltJamison Nah not really i can spam more mod of deceit it's actully pretty good considering the mod cost 1,400 mod power lmao,i can use mod charge melee attack land them all at once and then reshoot i regain all in a instant i can spam it again.
@mrv9937 you can loop the mod without that stuff tho and replace it with higher damage trinkets. I'll do a vid on it but I think some mod gen stuff is gonna get buffed soon, so just waiting on that

@@BoltJamison Just ran through campaign on Nightmare. Build is great! It's nice that Savior isn't just a cosmetic reward anymore. Would you mind talking about the nerf to crits? I hadn't seen it in the patch notes, I guess.
@zanshenbushi glad you enjoy it! The crit nerfs are basically all of the crit gear: Abrasive, akari, prob cord, crit fragment, grudge, etc and zanias malice. They all lost chance and damage, so a lot of dps builds took a hit.

Seeing you on Sidewinder for this build makes me wonder if Bulldog will actually be good with it. Bulldog has excellent DPS but always suffered from awful reload and having the downsides of shotguns without the upsides.
Also, I'm surprised you chose Stasis Beam over Song of Eafir. It staggers the elites so you still get time to murder them.
I'd rather have them fully frozen and immobile than staggered lol.
But yea sidewinder is pretty damn good with bulldog now as well. Skip those long reloads.
I used bulldog to complete veteran hardcore and I do definitely like that fun, certainly a lot of fun to use

It's an extremely cool build, everything about it is very well thought out and harmonized great. I found the Savio very cool right from the start in Remnant 2, but I just didn't manage to build a build that was really fun to use in the long run and I have to say skill and I don't like mod based builds and they take away the appeal of the game. It's just a lot of brain death and just running through the apocalypse. I'm particularly happy about this build because of the blatant crit nerfs etc. and I have to say I really like your playstyle Geil was also a silent spectator of yours in Remnant from the Ashes and always celebrated your builds and your playstyle and copied them just great, keep it up

I do not have Savior yet, and I know that Crescent Moon got nerfed, so would Sagittarius or the Hunting bow ( + Hot Shot(?)) be an okay substitute?
I havent tested this on bows just yet. I'll try it out and let you know but I don't think they will be as efficient. Savior has such a high perfect shot modifier, that it doesn't need to use damage rings. Bows on the otherhand may need them. It might be good with crescent moon because every shot will be a perfect shot (for the mod). Again, I need to test

For someone without the Savior what would be maybe the next best weapon that's easier to obtain for this build?
Did they nerf sequenced shot? I remember it being able to fire off charged shots constantly but now it feels horrible
Not nerfed but fixed. It was bug making it over perform.

how do you keep the haste buff permanently. i dont see any healing effect
I explain in the video when I go over traits. I put 1 point into regrowth. This allows a constant healing effect, activating haste
