This episode was a love letter to MMA fans. Not only were the techniques actual moves in martial arts, but even the technical mistakes both Eren and Reiner made in executing/defending some of the techniques were accurate. It makes it very realistic to an actual fight.

Shit didnt know that. Obiovusly saw the moves like pulling guard into guillotine, arm triangle to triangle to armbar :D, leg locks, judo trips. It was too technical to pretend it was a natural fight.
Fun fact that was left from the anime. Eren and Annie had an actual friendship and Eren was the only person to make Annie smile of all the cadets.

@@MayumiSaegusaShiba not really. Annie only had like two interactions with Armin about morals meanwhile eren and Annie trained in physical combat most days, with both seemingly enjoying their time together, actual bonding.

Btw, in that fight between Annie and Mikasa there was no winner, the instructor interfered ending the fight (Isayama confirmed it in an interview)

Just wanted to say that Annie's way of fighting is a Muay Thai stand, both of her hands protecting her face, one leg in front of the other and doing little jumps with that leg so you can throw kicks whenever you want (Season 1 ep 21)
Isayama is a big fan of MMA. If it wasn't obvious enough lol. YOU LOVE TO SEE IT.

Agreed, I think the lesser amount of episode was a good thing because it allowed them to progress into the next arc of the story

yeah season 4 had to be its own season regardless because of the timeskip, so that only leaves two other arcs after this one which were season 3. So either way, either season 2 or season 3 was going to be a 10-12 episode season

I just wanna say that after watching the whole show for like three times, I noticed that the second person the Colossal Titan took was just for de Maneuver Gear since they didn't have it with them. I just love this tiny little details that shout "nothing is casual, eventually you'll know"

At this rate I think they'll reach the end of season 4 just as the new season is about to drop
only if they increase the number of aot uploads per week though :))) they have 43 eps to go. at the rate of their current schedule (5 eps every 2 weeks), it's gonna take them 4 months and 1 week to catch up at best, so around mid Dec 2022. of course that's assuming life doesn't get in the way, holidays/vacations are not counted and if aot season 4 part 2 comes out after Jan 2022 :)))) on one hand I'd love for them to join the live week to week excitement of season 4 part 2, on the other hand I hope they can go at their own pace to digest the story as thoroughly as possible and really understand the characters/plot points

Mikasa would win because of the way Ackerman blood works. It is explained that Ackermans with awakened powers receive the combat experience of every previous Ackerman that lived via the Paths. In addition to this, they have the ability to use a fraction of the Titan Powers even in Human Form to perform physical feats impossible to most humans. Levi also explains that the feeling is one of "always instinctively knowing the right move to make in a dangerous situation" (Paraphrased).
Of course Annie is incredibly skilled, having trained since being a very young girl but even a lifetime of training doesn't equate to generations upon generations of combat experience and superior physical abilities.
@@thezone709 I agree but, I think it's Annie technique that could win Mikasa. Since her technique is used by stronger opponent (like what Annie addressed her as a beast). But yeah, Mikasa could possibly seen a weaker spot on Annie's technique to twist it. Nevertheless they're both strong.

@@Shinwicked I mean, least favorite isn't a bad thing if all of them are good. Look at this point: Season 1 is where it all begins, you have amazing stuff, such as the Female Titan Arc, episode 1 and 2 and others that's really stand out. Season 3, which I think is the one most people consider their favorites, is by far the most important season when you talk about the development of the story, and season 4 you know, you have all that stuff that you know what I'm talking about. So I think any ranking of the seasons is valid, because all of them are good. Maybe season 2 stand out the least because it's the shortest one

It's something along those lines. He seems heartbroken. But it doesn't matter to him as a warrior, he must keep moving forward. The thing I love most about the series is that the villains feel SO Human. Annie, Bert, and Reiner obviously did awful things, but as people, they fit in so well with our group. When Reiner lifted the Titan in 2x5, my mind was BLOWN. I thought, I might be cool one day, but I'll never be that cool. And he did it to save conny. HE WASNT IN DANGER. Whyyyyyyyyyy. He is so human, yet he committed an atrocity one order of magnitude below the level of Hitler. And much much higher if you consider that it was 20% of humanity that died because he broke the wall.
Sorry for the ramble. Love this show, love u guys even more.
