could you try to make this dutch treat? they're called stroopwafels and they are DELICIOUS i have the recepy translated, but here is a link to the 24-kitchen site, where a famous dutch cheff shows how to do it... if you look at the video the recepy will make sense, hopefully XD: www.24kitchen.nl/recepten/stroopwafels recepy (translated from dutch, so sorry if it is weirdly written my english isnt that good yet). for Stroopwafel Dough ::: 240 g flour, 95 g sugar, 80 g of butter, 1 egg, 1 pinch salt, 1 pinch ground cinnamon for Cinnamon Syrup ::: 500 g of sugar, 75 ml (cooking)cream, 75 g sugar syrup, 1 pinch ground cinnamon, 225 g butter Additional required :::: plastic foil, kniepertjes iron (search for kniepertjesijzer) it is a dutch wafel iron but tinyer, you CAN NOT use a waffleiron, it HAS to be this specific iron, plug of 10 cm diameter (i have no idea) Stroopwafel Dough ::: Mix the flour with the sugar. Make a dent (push a hole) in the flour and mix the butter, egg, salt and cinnamon together in the dent. Mix little by little the flour (add it a tiny bit at the time) and knead until a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator. preheat the kniepertjes iron (the weird iron that is specificly needed) on stand 2/level 2.... Divide the dough into 32 equal pieces. Roll the dough pieces into balls and press them slightly flat to a mini-burger. Repeat until the dough runs out. cinnamon Syrup Caramelise sugar in sections in a pan. Add sugar again once the sugar has caramelised. Heat another pan, heat the cream with the sugar syrup. Deglaze the caramel with the cream mass and cook until the caramel has dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat, add the cinnamon and stir the butter into cubes it. Let the caramel cool to approximately 50 ºC. stroopwafels Spread the cooled wafer with a bit of warm cinnamon syrup. Press there is another wafer against it until the syrup is distributed to the rim. Repeat this until the waffles are done. Tip: If you put it kniepertjes iron pressure the wafers are also larger and therefore flatter.
