@@TimWilborne I been a electrical journeyman for 15 years and have the chance at a maintenance job that involves plcs and industrial equipment. Any advice for me? I’m as green as it comes to plcs.
Start with this lesson series. You can get to the counter exercise with the simulation software then decide if it is something you really want to learn about. Good luck! twcontrols.com/micro800-connected-components-workbench-lessons
I know this is an older video but for I have a reason to reverse.. when you have to put 2 conveyors touching each other like = and the control panel is on the side .. you have to run one in reverse to make them both go the same direction to keep the panels facing outward and accessible
Is it possible to add a wiring diagram to this video? I like to buy one of the conveyor trainer but need a pdf showing the wiring for your video clips exercises. Thanks
What's your job title and how long did it take you to aquire all the knowledge /how did you go about it?? Seems a little overwhelming how much there is to learn about plc and panel building right now
I'm an Industrial Sorcerer :) Here is a podcast on getting started with PLC programming th-cam.com/video/N8Bvmx3Sr28/w-d-xo.html Here is one about UL 508A th-cam.com/video/3Ay5czeFCoE/w-d-xo.html
Great video as always!! ...I would like to ask you if you could make a basic course about the mechanical design for automated machines, it would be great , greetings.
I don't know if you subscribe to the idea of powering down the power supply to the PE/PLC/System, but i normally do it out of habit. Is this something that one should develop a habit of doing or no?
Personally I like leaving machines powered up once they have been through their safety runoff. Too many things that can go wrong during power cycles, especially where batteries are used to safe data on power cycles.
Excellent video and explanation. Yes, those compressors are great, wonderfully quiet.
Yes they are!

You would need to check with them and see what they have. It isn't our product.

In my industry we feed two belts at the same time when the left belt is full is switches to the right which is our bidirectional about
Interesting. I decided to leave the reverse out of the series. It required to many modifications.

Great suggestion Phillip but that is probably a little out of the typical video for this channel.
Good job

What is the function of the compressor in the plc? Thanks for answering we just need some details for our study
It operates the air cylinders that sorts the parts
@@TimWilborne thanks!! another question how can we integrate iot (internet of things) in this plc training kit
any thoughts about iot? In my opinion, the trainer can have iot
Yes, with the right hardware you can do it. It isn't something I have done.
Where is the wiring diagram ?
I don't think there was ever a wire diagram made for this. I was just giving it a test drive. What question do you have?
🌹🌺👍
on our fryers we reverse the conveyor to abort bad product
That is another great application example, thanks John!
