- I can picture it now. Like Hakeem Olajuwon and Shaquille O'Neal arguing over the most delightful way to eat your taco, be it crunchy or be it soft, digital and vinyl DJs are butting heads over methodologies -- but no longer! Thanks to the Numark CDX, DJs can expereince the convenience of CDs and mp3s with vinyl control.
What's next? World peace?

in 2019, I have 4 CDXs that work great with Traktor. I have had to fix them, each and every one of them, but none of them cost me over 25 dollars each to fix. They have not gone bad ever since and I trust them in any gig or performance.
Im pretty sure im gonna need your help
Hey what repairs did you have to do
@@fnk101 On some I have replaced the lens reader from the CD tray, Each one cost me about 14 bucks or so on ebay. There is some unsoldering to do before reinstalling it. Another repair was to replace the ribbon that connects the CD tray to the board inside the actual CDX. It kinks and breaks. Sometimes by straightening it out worked, but I eventually bought and replaced it. I have also cleaned and regreased the motor because of .1 or .2 difference in speed when you see it compared to the DVS. I would have my cdx at 0% but Traktor had it at -1 or +1%.
@ListenAndLearned Id say they are pretty accurate. The torque on these is really good. Its strong. just find the slipmats that suit you best. Personally I love these, but it has taken work to have them work as they should like i mentioned. Yes it does read WAV and MP3 files. In fact, I have used CD DVS in both formats, mp3 and wav. Both function the same.
@ListenAndLearned Yea i have fun fixing them. Instrumentalparts.com has plenty of parts.
Great demo 👍
I would use this as a production tool.
Really dope concept. Maybe paired with a dvs like SL3 or Denon
would be great to se USB mod for them!
could u please tell me what programs and settings u use to rip copys + what burn program u use with settings ide be eternally gratefull thanks
because they were in repair more time than i had them in my hands... they have the same chipset modelled from the extreeeeeeeeeeeeemly faulty axis 8 system
i thinking on buy a pair of numark cdx this is a good product?? because i see on you tube to many guys saying this is a very bad quality turntables, somebody can help me this is real or not?????????????
i agree
All cool and all, but this player is over 4 years old. On top of that, DVS systems have made CDs obsolete for the most part
what the name track
Vc faz rolo ?
do you know where to get parts for this numark cdx at????
all over online
I used these in 2004-2007 and loved using them. Is there anything like these today?
The dennon cdjs are the closest to these
@@reubsy1 Like the Denon SC6000 PRIME?
@@tobiaslofi yes exactly that one. Had a play with them on display and it was impressive
they were just so god awful pricey dopeass cdjs but pricey if i wouldnt have found mine at 150 a piece id never invest
Wow, a video from 15 years ago pops up in recommendations.
I remember these being on sale, and a mate bought one, and came round with it to show off it's abilities.
It was such a piece of crap, absolutely laughable for the money, because it was very expensive at the time.
The sound quality was bad, the whole thing was buggy, and it felt like an unfinished product.
The idea was ok but already the whole ideology of vinyl feel CD players, was out of date, by the time it was released. CDJ's were pretty good back then, and this seemed like a much more expensive, but worse quality, toy/gimmick.
Much like the buggy but better quality Technics SL-DZ1200 that came two years before it, people saw it as a toy and neither really took off.
why was it never worth it??
it was a well known issue that it wont accept cd, keep spitting them out... theres guides on internet how to fix that. ive just seen a mint orginal one 100 euro, but had that orginal weakness about spitting out cd
don't do it!!!!.....I bought a pair and was very disappointed. Idea = Excellent Delivery = Poor....if you want vinyl emulation for for the Denon.....or just stick to vinyl
i owned these and they were never worth it
