I believe you genuinely don’t care. From my perspective, I understand why you feel that you don’t care about old cosmetics and it’s not the end of the world. For me, I want those cosmetics because I think they are much better than the new stuff. It’s about the nostalgia, the love for these skins cause I played back then and grew up wanting them back when they were common. It’s nothing to do with rarity, I don’t think that’s important. I do also understand what you mean about it being unethical to bring it back. I do think since it’s their game and they can do whatever they want as stipulated in their EULA and terms and conditions that we all signed when we got this game they can technically do whatever they want. I also think if they gave out an apology, and maybe gave a unique skin for tier 100 skins for ogs, or refunded some vbucks or something it would be okay.
@Cdawg-c7o I personally think one way to do it would be to offset the time the OGs put in with the amount of money we pay. Hate to say it but that's how most games work. Buy xp upgrades and such. But if they do a 1 month OG season then only include 1 skin and other cosmetics from the original battle pass and charge the 950. It would also allow them to loop the OG season for at least 5 years worth of battlepasses dedicated to a single skin each month. I don't know my ch1 BP at all but say ch2 s2 was doing it. One pass for meowscles, then next time around a pass for Midas, and so on. Only way to somewhat make up for the time people put in. And maybe leave out superstyles from previous years if that was an OG thing. I started in chp 2.

Epic Games stating that battle pass cosmetics won't return back in August was specifically talking about bringing back individual items from the pass into the item shop, not the entire pass. If they find a semi-questionable way of bringing back Chapter 1 battle passes, I'm 100% sure they will since their main goal lately has been maximizing profit. I personally don't care if newgen players get the same OG cosmetics as me, I never use 90% of them anyway. Epic could at the very least add a badge to the icon of the OG items in the locker for players who unlocked them when they were resold as a sort of non-OG watermark or something?

I think the issue with old battle passes are collabs. Characters like Superman, Storm, Doom Guy, Geralt, Aquaman, Raven, etc. are skins that don't have a shop counterpart which stings for those who are fans and didn't play until after that chapter or season. I like the new method of the whole 18 month period of Maybe returning, but I feel like the old ones could literally be sold as a bundle if given permission by their individual IP holder and simply keep the secret styles exclusive to those who played.

If they're gonna do it to some, they need to do it to ALL, otherwise it just breeds more toxicity and resentment between newer players or players who missed items and older players who do have them and have since then developed a superiority complex because of it. Same with emotes and skins that they refuse to bring back. It's sanctioned gatekeeping by Epic, themselves. They don't need to just sell the items in the shop, but bring back the passes with reworked challenges so those players can grind them like everyone else. Old players aren't even gonna know who's OG or not, nor are they gonna care when they're in the middle of a crazy fight, so their stance against it is a moot point. By their logic, the same thing could be said about the OG and Reload maps. They should remove them immediately since newer players weren't around when they were originally out... Get what I'm saying? Look at how many players joined for those re-releases. It's likely that a lot of players would join for a chance to get those old passes.
Agreed, but they'll definitely care and whine, but hopefully, if it happens, they'll get over it and just allow people to have fun. They still have their skins to look at. Though from all I've seen, they don't even care about its looks, just meaningless bragging rights... If I have to pay more or put in MORE work than the OGs, that is fine. I just want the OPPORTUNITY. There's MANY games out there where you simply don't keep track/are unaware of their content updates. Ofc Fortnite players will (usually) know 'cause they already play the game.
@SodaPopBot EXACTLY. It's probably been years since most of them have used those skins anyway. The way I see it is let someone else have the chance to enjoy them. It grants no advantage in-game. And to add to that, a lot of players finish their battle passes with weeks or even months to spare with nothing to grind after that. This would be an excellent opportunity to fill that void and entice players to get on more!
This will not fix the issue tho, og styles exist, Og Paradigm, Purple Skull Trooper, Pink Ghoul Trooper. If they bring them back, OG styles will be made 100%. Heck, even the emote giddy up has an og counter part. Not to mention the exclusives like Galaxy, Ikonik, etc. I've seen this argument too many times, and it won't fix anything. Toxicity will always exist, especially if they bring them back. The number of kids spamming Take The L would be absurd.

I would argue that Epic already broke their promise. They gave Sparkle Specialist as a reward for the boogie down contest and also gave the "Ride the Pony" emote away as a login reward to everyone playing in season X. Granted they did provide compensation, but still gave the original emote to new players.

Idk I think the best thing they should do is bring it back as that will also get rid of two of the biggest problems with Fortnite hacking and selling accounts which is imo one of the best thing that could happen as that will get rid of people worrying over their accounts getting hacked over old cosmetics.

Thank you for acknowledging it is wrong by Epic no matter what people want. Thats my biggest thing is that no matter what above all else, a major gaming company promised millions of people something and going back on that isn’t ok.
People are still complaining about this?! If people are bragging this much about the old BPs returning (when they’re hundreds upon thousands of other cosmetics), it’s fine but this will cause a never ending feud. They made that promise, so let them stick with it. Exclusivity when it comes to the older BPs isn’t always a bad thing.
Personally as someone who played in chapter 1 season 2 but didn’t get a battle pass till season 8 I hope they bring them back but if they don’t it doesn’t really matter I’m gonna enjoy the game cosmetics don’t affect gameplay in the end.

Problem is, there are SEVERAL Fortnite content creators who keep egging on their subscribers and baiting them by claiming every little "loophole" and reading into things and goating people into thinking they will return. It's been clarified time and time again since the announcement. We know what's never returning and what could potentially return in the future. People gotta accept it and move on. But I blame creators who keep teasing their communities with false hope and false clues.

This doesn't really mean anything, especially since they brought out a starter skin from ch2, yet stated only future BP will be sold from here on out. As well as remaking skins with Disney because they acknowledged that some were locked. Getting rid of Paradigm is also the most recent thing they did. If it stayed in the shop, it would have been a different story.

Epic Games didn't confirm anything. The quote was from their previous blog post about how old battle pass items couldn't release in the item shop indidually. But they never said that old battle passes couldn't return in the future. People just assumed that because Epic Games said "this season battle pass will last until next season". So they wouldn't break any promise. Also, people care about battle pass skins because they're iconic (Black Knight, Drift, Midas, etc...). Keeping them exclusive is like telling a new Mario fan "Sorry, you can't play as Mario because you didn't play soon enough". But the thing is : these characters do not belong to you. Like Steam, you only get the right to use them. Fortnite really is the only game where it's own fanbase gatekeep it's most iconic characters only because they want to flex and feel like they're better than the others.

Not saying it will return, I think their return is unlikely, simply trying to make sure everything is clarified. Also yes I read the page. I get it’s a bonus for playing early on but there’s old battle pass skins that have never been reskinned once but we keep get them same ones over and over I just wish they would give an option to a version of a one and done skins

A.I.M never got a reskin. The Visitor and The Scientist never got reskins. Hybrid got a reskin but in an old crew pack that isn’t obtainable anymore. Zyg never got a reskin. Rippley never got a reskin that had the exact same style as him. Ronin never got a reskin. Kondor never got a reskin. And I can keep going on…
I honestly doubt that they will stop reskinning iconic skin just because the og version comes back. We already have several versions of the bird skin and Peely is an iconic skin in general.

I want to share my arguments on why I THINK old battle passes will come back. 1. @@conner9842 Tbh I think certain OGs are emphasizing it now because they truly do want to maintain their exclusivity & want to shut the conversation down before Epic sees how badly the community wants old passes / cosmetics to come back during the return of OG OG. I also think it was just for clicks & views for the leakers even though it’s not anything we didn’t already know. I’m not taking the news at face value because they haven’t actually addressed anything within the last two weeks of speculation as well as them taking these steps to break down barriers of exclusivity. It still feels too little too late but they should’ve done this when they began incorporating collaborations into the battlepass. Love Epic but something as simple as “All collaboration cosmetics within the battlepass are not exclusive & may return at a later date” could’ve solved a lot of the current problems we are having now.

I’m all for it but it’s really up to Epic & if they have the balls to do it. Personally I wouldn’t look at them any differently & take offense to them re releasing my Reaper & Omega lights since they’re are just virtual cosmetics in a game. If Epic were to do it yes it’s wrong to break that exclusivity promise but if they wanted to earn some respect points they could atleast apologize to the OGs who’s feelings get hurt from this & repay them in some way. The change it is referring to is not the Battle Passes as a whole coming back but instead the items coming to the shop like how the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass will. We have known about this since the original blog post in August. The reason why people are misunderstanding this is because this is because the tweets don’t show the full context of the blog post. The blog that the Epic Games support post links to is called, “CHANGE TO ITEM EXCLUSIVITY IN FUTURE FORTNITE BATTLE PASSES,” released on August seventh, it reads as follows, “Items in future Fortnite Battle Passes might be offered for purchase in the Fortnite Shop after 18 or more months from the Battle Pass’ expiration” (The Fortnite Team). Nowhere in the entire article does it mention older Battle Passes coming back NOR does it mention older Battle Passes staying exclusive. The entire article (and support page that links to it) is only speaking of Battle Pass items after Chapter 5 Season 3 coming to the shop. Many people have made a concept that Battle Passes could be sold in their entirety throughout OG Chapter 1 as technically it would be the old seasons coming back. The cosmetics in these passes wouldn’t be coming to the shop like the ones in the Chapter 5 Season 4 pass, so technically they could return if they come back the same as they were back in chapter 1 and are only limited to that month that they are out. We wouldn’t see if they do come out until either December or January as December is season 1, so Epic could bring back Aerial Assault Trooper and all of that stuff (some people think that is the battle pass of season 1) or January, when season 2 would come out and therefore be when the first official pass would have come out. Time will tell. Edit: I really do hope Epic gives original players some form of compensation if they bring the Passes back as I don’t want to see people leave this game but, it’s up to Epic.
A note on your edit, but I would be extremely disappointed if the compensation for OG owners was just a basic purple or gold edit style. I'd also be disappointing if they took the same route as the crew pass and gave you all the ugly crew styles for your OG skins. At least three unique styles for each individual skin, specific to that skin, would be good in my opinion. Like with Zoey, they could have one where her clothes are green and her hair is pink, one where she has a special effect with a candy texture on her clothing, and maybe purple and pink would be cool. Even then, newer players would not be happy and would complain about not having those edit styles and the cycle of complaining would never end.
@@brandonstarstorm3289 if people are complaining about not getting a purple or gold style, they are ungrateful. I’m grateful I got the Paradigm during the one hour it was out back in season 3. The memory of me going absolutely ballistic because one of my favorite skins returned to the shop is more important than a purple, gold, or even fully original style. I really hope people don’t get pissy over just a recolor of a skin that they probably should have never gotten. Do I believe that it is moral for Epic to bring back these items, no, do I want them to, yes. I just really don’t want the community to get even more divided just because of a gold Peely. I think the original owners of the skins should be grateful that they owned them for five or six years while they were exclusive. I just hope they come back, even if I don’t get a super level style or a purple style.

5:51 The problem for most people is when Epic locks collab skins behind a Battle Pass. Just because I didn't play in a certain season doesn't mean I should never be able to play as one of my favorite characters from any franchise. Locking a popular character like Lara Croft, Doctor Strange, or Optimus Prime behind a timed Battle Pass is not only stupid from a business standpoint, but is also unfair to everyone who either couldn't play for some reason or didn't play the game at the time their favorite character was available. It's not about the original characters. It's about the collaborations.

Actually, I could not have cared any less if they would have brought back, the old battle passes, the only thing I literally wanted was to get the Omega skin and after a while when I have the skin, I would move on like everybody else and not gonna lie the omega skin was one of the best skins of that time. And now when we don’t get progressive edit style skins anymore it makes it even more nostalgic

its a way for old players to show that they've been playing for a long time. giving those skins out like they're candy removes their value. i don't think its gatekeeping, i think its just wanting to have the ability to show how long you've been playing for.
If they do release old battle passes that would just be a big spit in the face to me. The main reason that I purchased and grinded out the old battle passes was because I had the intention that they would never come back. Also I think the new players should not have an opinion on the matter because they're obviously going have a bias which is not fair.

I really just want the old skins to be reskinned for the store for newer players to get. I played Chapter 1 Season 4-X and then returned during Chapter 5 Season 2. I missed out on a bunch of cool characters like Thunder and Oscar. Instead of complaining for these passes to return, I just want Epic Games to remake the skins like they are doing for Peely. A new Dire skin or new Dusk skin would be cool!
@@brandonstarstorm3289 Yeah they need to just do more re-skins of the old Battle Pass skins, just bringing back the exact old models would be lazy and down right stupid on Epic's part and would be bad for both old players, and new (as new players wouldn't feel the need to buy any re skins after). 5:52, respectfully I have to disagree. The type of art style that Fortnite began with is very different for the skins from chapter to chapter and dare I say season to season. A lot of the skins we get now are kind off just advertising (snoop dog, ice spice, ect) Fortnite after Donald mustard left I would argue Fortnite almost lost its identity with it trying to copy COD with last chapters art style especially with the skins and those old skins are at the moment Fortnite’s identity, the very first thing you see when looking at the game since they are to my knowledge still used in Fortnite’s advertising since I would say over 80% of the player base is new players looking at Fortnite when it had some of the most magical seasons.
I would also look towards halo infinite for replaying old battle passes if the new community really makes an impact since halo infinite makes you not only pay for the older passes but to also work through every tier. This in my opinion beats the argument that “you guys didn’t work hard for the skins we got while also meaning Fortnite can scale up the cost reasonably which is a win/win I would say

To be fair, I have found a lot of the new skins have been boring. Like 80% of the skins I have from battle passes remain unused since I got them back in chapter 3. A lot of the old battle pass skins and cosmetics would meet the same fate, however, old fox clan skins and skins like Calamity, Fade, and Ripley are (for me) much more fun and interesting than what we have been getting.
7:45 This means little to nothing. Its just informing you how long the BP is available for. Exclusivity can be retured multiple times for a period of time. They never said it was only exclusive for that date, only for the season.
I feel like if they don’t rerelease old Battle Passes, I think they might try and pull an OG type of situation where we either have remixed/fused skins based off the original skins with a full 200 level Battle Pass that is for all 10 seasons for all 10 months. Everytime we fully go through is all 10 seasons and restart we get a new battle pass
In my opinion, the older were better and yes, remixed skins can be nice, but they're never as good as the original and if the solution to whenever people want the old skins back is to just remake them, we'll end up with so many reskins that it'll get boring after a while, not to mention it still doesn't solve the root issue. People want the originals, not some poor man's adaptation. Plus, it's not like everyone wants it because they're rare. People want good stuff, and newer cosmetics simply don't live up to that standard (especially when 90% of new skins are collabs and I don't even remember the last emote that wasn't a TikTok dance (I know ch1-2 had some popular internet dances, but they still had an original twist)). I do agree that it would be breaking a promise if old battle passes returned, but recent times have given players very little hope and trust in Epic like you yourself have said. At least with this, they'd be breaking a promise on something seemingly most people want, instead of screwing over players time and time again. Just look at this chapter. We had bullet drop, mods that were forgotten, the original moment change, the prelude event and nearly everyone hated these for one reason or another. In the end, though, I don't care what happens. If they bring them back, it'll be great, and I'll be happy for those who can finally have the good, original skins. But, if they don't come back, then it's not the end of the world and people will just have to wait for the game to go offline (if it ever does😂).
I don't buy the whole "it's not about rarity" Recon Expert was the biggest evidence of this. Came back, all the new kids got it, lobbies full of Recon Expert, lost its rarity, and is now one of the most underused skins in Fortnite. Majority of people only want what they don't have. Same with Paradigm, I haven't seen 1 person use her now (both new players and Og players)💀

This still doesn't solve the mystery of the "OffersCatalogue" folder in the item shop's code. Why add the old Battle Pass key art to that folder? Maybe they're planning for the far future? This ruling isn't permanent. Thay can change their minds at any time. I'll wait as long as it takes.
personally, I think it's likely Epic added it in to see how the community would react. If epic really didn't want to confirm it, they could've easily blacklisted the old BP assets as they aren't needed anymore yet they left them in the files.
I love the drift set. i have every drift skin except chapter season 5 battle pass drift. No matter how many new versions or remixes they release, nothing is gonna stop me from wanting the og drift

i think they will use the loophole they said that skins from battlepasses now can be in the ITEM SHOP however they said that each battlepass previously is only available during that season and when the season ends you cant get them.....BUT if it is chapter 1 season 2 for og fortnite then technically it is available as a battlepass again. as someone who owns the og skins (2017 player) if they bring them back give us og edit styles for the gliders pickaxes backblings skins just like skull trooper and ghoul not giving us that bare minimum is morally wrong especially since were talking about the core community who has been here for 7 years supporting the game.
It’s more to it than someone wanting to play as black knight. It’s the fact some players always wanted certain old BP skins but couldn’t get them. Some wanted darth Vader who was a BP skin, other players who played in CH1 wanted renegade raider or sparkle specialist or something point is no matter when you started its most likely if you played the game for a while there’s a battepass you don’t have that has cosmetics in it and they are doing this along with starter packs and hopefully season shop to give every player there wishes which will make everyone happy in some way and also make them money everyone gets happy and it’ll be in Christmas spirit too ❤❤❤❤
Theres so many people obssessed over getting these old skins who wouldnt even use them after rhe first 2 weeks. But theres also so many people starkly defending the old skins, acting like people are entitled for wanting to pay fornthe chance to earn these old cosmetics that barely anyone even uses.
This is old news. We know old passes can't return under this change. No one ever thought that. We know it's possible because they can re-run old seasons and sell the passes along with them, which is not related to this change made in August in any way. Through this "loophole", (and it's hard to call it a loophole because of how dumb simple it is) Epic Games would not be going against anything they ever said.
I’m an og to Fortnite but I do have to say I wanna let new people get the old passes we had. It make sense we’re having fun not being so greedy and just angry over wanting to get the passes exclusive. If I wanna have fun and let others give it a shot then that’s my choice
I think the community needs to start thinking of the future of the game and cosmetics instead of the past. That being said, I think we should actively be asking Epic Games to focus on remaking all of the old battle pass characters, but better as well as making better new cosmetics. Instead of getting 20 Peely reskins, where are the reskins for Dire, Catalyst, Dusk, Thunder, etc.? Also, as cool as Omega is, Epic Games added Omega Knight, which is even cooler than the original Omega if you ask me. I do hope Omega Knight returns in the future since he's an amazing skin.
It's stupid that OG people are making such a big deal over something that Epic can just give them a exclusive style for and let people who never had a chance just get the skins they want. Also to your argument, its more so just that it be nice to have said skins cause they appeals to us and in many cases even more than some that are coming out and ones that would actually get use by the people wanting them back.
I hope they bring back old passes. From a personal standpoint, I just want the Skye skin and that's it. From a less selfish one, why wouldn't I want people to be able to play as Doomguy? Why would I want that to be exclusive to me and others who both played and bought it during Chaper 4? I get they made a promise that would be exclusive, but I can't imagine being angry about that promise being broken if it means more people get to have more enjoyment with the game. I also don't get the, "If it happens, I'll uninstall." You'd uninstall because people can finally buy a 5-6 year old skin? If that's enough to make you quit playing the game, why exactly are you still playing it..? I mean this genuinely because if that's all it'd take, you're probably not actually enjoying the game.
It’s not just the skins people want it’s the dance moves and other goodies that came with them I’m an OG and yeah I agree the battle passes should be sold to people again. There’s more to this and I get the whole keep your word in but there have been company’s who’ve stated they weren’t gonna bring it back but until popular demand then they did but I hope epic goes by their words and let those passes comeback for all to have fun
if they do start releasing exclusive skins in the shop they would all end up just like the recon expert,ghoul troop and skull trooper everybody wanted them and now that they’ve been to the shop a ton of times no one cares about them anymore and they’re just regular skins. the only thing about old battlepasses not returning that I'm sad about is the fact that I'll never get the OG Lobby Music from the Season X Battlepass. I love that music, wish I'd have gotten it.
I was on the side of them returning at first but i switched sides with Klarque's video. Epic promoted old BPs as exclusive and og owners dont deserved to be deceived when a lotta folks grinded the passes solely with the expectation of not being able to get the skins at a later date. What I will say is it's epic game's fault they're being pressured to bring them back as hard as they have been lately. Full respect to Epic's concept artists but it feels like (more times than not) they design remixes for old battle pass skins with the intention of selling it to people who had the original skin and want to double dip rather than actually serve as a decent replacement for those who missed out on the original pass. Perfect example I can think of is Dynamo TNTina. Drastically different hair style, different clothes-- really the only thing she shares with the original is the same face model and color scheme. Summer drift shares nearly nothing in common with its original skin-- different face model, different outfit, no lightning effect. The only thing tying the 'remix' to its original skin is hair and color scheme. The only BP remix skins I think Epics knocked it out of the park for are all of Midas' remixes and Heroic hope. If Epic did remixes for old battle pass skins that heavily resembled the original skins they're based on and dont take away what made people love them in the first place, then perhaps people wouldn't be so mad about their exclusivity.
if that's the case, epic could've blacklisted the battle pass assets from appearing in future release builds of the game (like they do with everything they "remove") so why is it still in the files? (when the accidental update that brought back the ch3 map in the files was reverted the next update)
At the end of the day it's epic games game so technically they can bring back old battle passes and there is nothing we can really do about it that's why they changed the tos so they can't get sued let's hope they bring back old battle passes

Epic games left a bad taste in my mouth fom leaving OG to chapter 5 so after this chapter 2 season ends, I’m quitting Fortnite permanently until og comes bk and this may sound crazy but I started Fortnite in chapter 2 season 4 ,i just enjoy chapter 1 og that much and having no faith in epic and chapter 6.
The support page these tweets are using and quoting to show that they arent coming back, is in fact a support page asking about the battle pass changes, of C5S4 forward having items possibly return to the item shop after 18month, so saying old passes arent affrcted by this is in fact only saying that 'items from C5S3 backwards will not be appearing in the jtem shop', Its not the nail in the coffin that most people are treating it like. Also acknowledging the ACTUAL meaning if the support page people are quoting, does not make me an entitled whining baby who wants pixels. I, like ive mentioned in several other places, would prefer Ultima Knight level remixes/remakes, being the definitive version of each skin
well said, lot of people just want the skin because no one else has it, the moment they have it the hype dies down either way and these grown men and women who played in season one chapter one need to stop and grow up "we will sue epic if they bring back battle passes from season 1 chapter 1" like no you will not. they will find a loop hole or they won't.
I quite literally just went through all this with the Paradigm skin. I bought it back in Season X, and watched it return to the shop for an hour and then see the new Paradigm owners get to keep it for free. So as an OG, I have first hand experience of this. At first I was shocked, but I grew to accept it, partly because I was there to watch something similar happen to Skull Trooper and Ghoul trooper. Quite frankly, it's impossible to please everyone, no matter what Epic decides here. But Here's my opinion. Every Battle Pass I've ever bought, there's always been skins I never cared for. Defenders of exclusivity love to mention the Black Knight, Renegade Raider, Drift, etc. but what about the Blue Squire, Rust Lord, Tilted Technique, Rox, Dire, X Lord, etc.? Who cares if Battlehawk, Trog, or Zenith are exclusive or not? I have archived most of my Chapter 1 and 2 Battle Pass skins because I know I will probably never use them unless some unforeseen niche situation occurs. If Sparkle Supreme hit the item shop today, would anyone remember that she was from the Season X Battle Pass? If I entered the lobby using Maya, would anyone notice? If I use the "wave" or "salute" emote from Chapter 1, would anyone recognize them? I main as the Blue Squire and most players don't even treat me differently or single me out, a few rare players do, and I was once eliminated by a Black Knight, and emoted with a Royale Knight in Team Rumble once, but those are the exceptions. Most of my Chapter 1 friends left Fortnite years ago, and I gave up trying to rally them back long ago. I do understand the joy of having an exclusive skin, and what it's like watching that exclusively suddenly vanish without warning. The Paradigm is one of my favorite skins. And if anything, I use her more now because of her og edit style. Just because She was accidentally returned to the item shop doesn't mean that I don't find value in her anymore. And even if my favorite og bp skins return, I still value mine, the work I put into unlocking them and the other memories of them. And who knows, maybe I'll finally finish my Carbide. If these old Battle Passes returned, and that's still speculation if they will, does it really detract their value? Account selling is illegal, so there's no real monetary value here, just whatever value you assign to these skins.
there's nothing legally binding with epic bringing back battlepasses and that they can be "sued" for false advertisement. They already made Sparkle Specialist avaliable OUTSIDE of the battle pass to the top 100 boogie down contest winners back in 2018, they made Ride The Pony avaliable to those who bought STW (and yeah, I know that they got compensated. but it still applies), etc. Can I ask these leakers why NOBODY (despite Fortnite being very mainstream back in 2018) sued epic for "false advertisement" over the fact that they made sparkle specialist avaliable outside of the battle pass?? yeah that's right. it's because the EULA you signed at the start of when you first played Fortnite has always stated that Epic can do whatever they want with their game and that you cannot sue them for any of those things. and besides, you have to be an absolute loser to sue epic just because they brought back something you paid 10 dollars for. If you want to sue epic, sue them for their failed promises to STW. not for video game cosmetics you haven't used in years.

I believe the claim about the fncs lobby track is from the “brace for chaos” track that was for fncs aura in chapter 4 season 2, which was then re released in a festival pass as a jam track (i believe it was lady gaga’s)
For me personally, I would not care one way or the other. It would be nice IF they decide that they should bring back the old passes (Even though that would mean going back on their word). IF they decide to do that, I hope they set it up where people can pick and choose which skins from old passes they want (And the stuff that comes with those skins). It’s too much of an topic for those battle passes not too return. Like you said everything doesn’t add up. They will bring those passes back, its an million dollar deal just waiting to happen. OG’s will get their compensation. I honestly do not care that my exclusive items will be sold again. They found a loophole and are waiting to announce it because announcing it too early the backlash will be to large.
It gets me confused why people are forgetting that there are skins other then black knight in older battle passes he isn't the the only skin people want from OG passes. Most people want epic to do this not for the OG stuff but for the collabs and good looking original skins locked away forever and a reskin wont work you fell in love with the original and a reskin isn't THE skin. Im in the boat where i just want skins like joey, Lara croft, Optimus prime, Helsie, era, Mizuki, Dusty, Rebirth Raven, Trace and to finish my edit styles for lexa and even Sorana etc. I could care less for finishing my season 2 pass for black knight or finishing my omega colors the majority of people from what I've seen on twitter don't care for the OG skins but need epic to do this to get the actual skins we want later on. I can understand buying the old passes and wanting them to stay OG but realistically who was buying passes for the soul reason of them not coming back yes a promise may have been broken but it wont hurt you at all in the slightest. i will never understand being mad someone has your same skin that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the skin you like just wear what you want you got it early you dont need an og style they dont give you status or make you any cooler its whatever makes you enjoy the game the most.
"Battlepass skins will come back in the shop after 18 months after initial release" keywords are skins and the shop, dosent say anything about the entire pass itself, if they choose to bring the old battlepasses back in their respective seasons they wont be lying for anything, the battlepasses will still be exclusive to the season they originate from (they never stated it was exclusive to the time period they initially released during just the season so yes bringing the season back along with its corrisponding battlepass makes that statement still true), and it isnt souly the skins coming back it would be the whole pass, im sure people that dont want others to have the skins will find some way to say thats wrong, and i have every battlepass from chapter 1 season 5 to current so i do have a say and i say bring them back, ive always thought it was dumb keeping the skins locked forever, people are so keen on keeping skins they never use locked to themselves that they cry every time epic brings back rare skins, they never had to give people special styles for skull and ghoul troopers because those skins where never exclusive so now people think they have the right to gatekeep
well its just not because of the fact that they don't want these skins to return, its because some of these skins were actually tuff to get and also it took alot of time just to get the max versions of them. so if they were released and made the challenges easier, it would defeat the point of grinding for the to begin with. when it comes to skins like black night or wenegade wader, i dont give a fuck sense they are only valuable because of there place and rarity. however skins like omega, golden peely, ragnarock. those are skins that you really had to grind for and serve to make that skin even more exclusive to you. those should not return sense those are skins that served alot of time and energy to get.

I believe you genuinely don’t care. From my perspective, I understand why you feel that you don’t care about old cosmetics and it’s not the end of the world. For me, I want those cosmetics because I think they are much better than the new stuff. It’s about the nostalgia, the love for these skins cause I played back then and grew up wanting them back when they were common. It’s nothing to do with rarity, I don’t think that’s important. I do also understand what you mean about it being unethical to bring it back. I do think since it’s their game and they can do whatever they want as stipulated in their EULA and terms and conditions that we all signed when we got this game they can technically do whatever they want. I also think if they gave out an apology, and maybe gave a unique skin for tier 100 skins for ogs, or refunded some vbucks or something it would be okay.
@Cdawg-c7o I personally think one way to do it would be to offset the time the OGs put in with the amount of money we pay. Hate to say it but that's how most games work. Buy xp upgrades and such. But if they do a 1 month OG season then only include 1 skin and other cosmetics from the original battle pass and charge the 950. It would also allow them to loop the OG season for at least 5 years worth of battlepasses dedicated to a single skin each month. I don't know my ch1 BP at all but say ch2 s2 was doing it. One pass for meowscles, then next time around a pass for Midas, and so on. Only way to somewhat make up for the time people put in. And maybe leave out superstyles from previous years if that was an OG thing. I started in chp 2.

Epic Games stating that battle pass cosmetics won't return back in August was specifically talking about bringing back individual items from the pass into the item shop, not the entire pass. If they find a semi-questionable way of bringing back Chapter 1 battle passes, I'm 100% sure they will since their main goal lately has been maximizing profit. I personally don't care if newgen players get the same OG cosmetics as me, I never use 90% of them anyway. Epic could at the very least add a badge to the icon of the OG items in the locker for players who unlocked them when they were resold as a sort of non-OG watermark or something?

I think the issue with old battle passes are collabs. Characters like Superman, Storm, Doom Guy, Geralt, Aquaman, Raven, etc. are skins that don't have a shop counterpart which stings for those who are fans and didn't play until after that chapter or season. I like the new method of the whole 18 month period of Maybe returning, but I feel like the old ones could literally be sold as a bundle if given permission by their individual IP holder and simply keep the secret styles exclusive to those who played.

If they're gonna do it to some, they need to do it to ALL, otherwise it just breeds more toxicity and resentment between newer players or players who missed items and older players who do have them and have since then developed a superiority complex because of it. Same with emotes and skins that they refuse to bring back. It's sanctioned gatekeeping by Epic, themselves. They don't need to just sell the items in the shop, but bring back the passes with reworked challenges so those players can grind them like everyone else. Old players aren't even gonna know who's OG or not, nor are they gonna care when they're in the middle of a crazy fight, so their stance against it is a moot point. By their logic, the same thing could be said about the OG and Reload maps. They should remove them immediately since newer players weren't around when they were originally out... Get what I'm saying? Look at how many players joined for those re-releases. It's likely that a lot of players would join for a chance to get those old passes.

@SodaPopBot EXACTLY. It's probably been years since most of them have used those skins anyway. The way I see it is let someone else have the chance to enjoy them. It grants no advantage in-game. And to add to that, a lot of players finish their battle passes with weeks or even months to spare with nothing to grind after that. This will not fix the issue tho, og styles exist, Og Paradigm, Purple Skull Trooper, Pink Ghoul Trooper. If they bring them back, OG styles will be made 100%. I would argue that Epic already broke their promise. They gave Sparkle Specialist as a reward for the boogie down contest and also gave the "Ride the Pony" emote away as a login reward to everyone playing in season X. Granted they did provide compensation, but still gave the original emote to new players.

Epic Games didn't confirm anything. The quote was from their previous blog post about how old battle pass items couldn't release in the item shop indidually. But they never said that old battle passes couldn't return in the future. People just assumed that because Epic Games said "this season battle pass will last until next season". So they wouldn't break any promise.
Also, people care about battle pass skins because they're iconic (Black Knight, Drift, Midas, etc...). Keeping them exclusive is like telling a new Mario fan "Sorry, you can't play as Mario because you didn't play soon enough". But the thing is : these characters do not belong to you. Like Steam, you only get the right to use them.
Fortnite really is the only game where it's own fanbase gatekeep it's most iconic characters only because they want to flex and feel like they're better than the others.

The date is meaningless because it doesn’t specify the year. Even if it did, Epic has only stated:
“Rewards from a Battle Pass can only be earned in that season and will not be available in later seasons.”
AND LET ME REMIND YOU THAT DATE IS CORRELATED TO THE SEASONS DURATION WHICH MEANS NOTHING.
With Fortnite OG becoming permanent and rerunning older seasons (0-X), it makes sense that Epic could reintroduce old battle passes during their respective seasons. These passes would only be available during the limited time that season is active.
I hope these arguments justify why I believe old battle passes will return. Ultimately, it’s up to Epic Games to decide. I hope they do it, but if they don’t-well, it’s not the end of the world.

@@conner9842 Tbh I think certain OGs are emphasizing it now because they truly do want to maintain their exclusivity & want to shut the conversation down before Epic sees how badly the community wants old passes / cosmetics to come back during the return of OG OG. I also think it was just for clicks & views for the leakers even though it’s not anything we didn’t already know. I’m not taking the news at face value because they haven’t actually addressed anything within the last two weeks of speculation as well as them taking these steps to break down barriers of exclusivity. It still feels too little too late but they should’ve done this when they began incorporating collaborations into the battlepass. Love Epic but something as simple as “All collaboration cosmetics within the battlepass are not exclusive & may return at a later date” could’ve solved a lot of the current problems we are having now.

The change it is referring to is not the Battle Passes as a whole coming back but instead the items coming to the shop like how the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass will. We have known about this since the original blog post in August. The reason why people are misunderstanding this is because this is because the tweets don’t show the full context of the blog post. The blog that the Epic Games support post links to is called, “CHANGE TO ITEM EXCLUSIVITY IN FUTURE FORTNITE BATTLE PASSES,” released on August seventh, it reads as follows, “Items in future Fortnite Battle Passes might be offered for purchase in the Fortnite Shop after 18 or more months from the Battle Pass’ expiration” (The Fortnite Team). Nowhere in the entire article does it mention older Battle Passes coming back NOR does it mention older Battle Passes staying exclusive. The entire article (and support page that links to it) is only speaking of Battle Pass items after Chapter 5 Season 3 coming to the shop. Many people have made a concept that Battle Passes could be sold in their entirety throughout OG Chapter 1 as technically it would be the old seasons coming back. The cosmetics in these passes wouldn’t be coming to the shop like the ones in the Chapter 5 Season 4 pass, so technically they could return if they come back the same as they were back in chapter 1 and are only limited to that month that they are out. We wouldn’t see if they do come out until either December or January as December is season 1, so Epic could bring back Aerial Assault Trooper and all of that stuff (some people think that is the battle pass of season 1) or January, when season 2 would come out and therefore be when the first official pass would have come out. Time will tell.
Edit: I really do hope Epic gives original players some form of compensation if they bring the Passes back as I don’t want to see people leave this game but, it’s up to Epic.

A note on your edit, but I would be extremely disappointed if the compensation for OG owners was just a basic purple or gold edit style. I'd also be disappointing if they took the same route as the crew pass and gave you all the ugly crew styles for your OG skins. At least three unique styles for each individual skin, specific to that skin, would be good in my opinion. Like with Zoey, they could have one where her clothes are green and her hair is pink, one where she has a special effect with a candy texture on her clothing, and maybe purple and pink would be cool.
Even then, newer players would not be happy and would complain about not having those edit styles and the cycle of complaining would never end.

Just because I didn't play in a certain season doesn't mean I should never be able to play as one of my favorite characters from any franchise. I really just want the old skins to be reskinned for the store for newer players to get. I played Chapter 1 Season 4-X and then returned during Chapter 5 Season 2. I missed out on a bunch of cool characters like Thunder and Oscar. Instead of complaining for these passes to return, I just want Epic Games to remake the skins like they are doing for Peely. A new Dire skin or new Dusk skin would be cool!
@@brandonstarstorm3289 Yeah they need to just do more re-skins of the old Battle Pass skins, just bringing back the exact old models would be lazy and down right stupid on Epic's part and would be bad for both old players, and new (as new players wouldn't feel the need to buy any re skins after). I feel like then they lose the opportunity to reskin old skins, resulting in losing a lot of money. Bringing back the actual old skins definitely seems like a no-go to me. The type of art style that Fortnite began with is very different for the skins from chapter to chapter and dare I say season to season.
A lot of the skins we get now are kind off just advertising (snoop dog, ice spice, ect) Fortnite after Donald mustard left I would argue Fortnite almost lost its identity with it trying to copy COD with last chapters art style especially with the skins and those old skins are at the moment Fortnite’s identity, the very first thing you see when looking at the game since they are to my knowledge still used in Fortnite’s advertising since I would say over 80% of the player base is new players looking at Fortnite when it had some of the most magical seasons.
I would also look towards halo infinite for replaying old battle passes if the new community really makes an impact since halo infinite makes you not only pay for the older passes but to also work through every tier.
This in my opinion beats the argument that “you guys didn’t work hard for the skins we got while also meaning Fortnite can scale up the cost reasonably which is a win/win I would say

To be fair, I have found a lot of the new skins have been boring. Like 80% of the skins I have from battle passes remain unused since I got them back in chapter 3. A lot of the old battle pass skins and cosmetics would meet the same fate, however, old fox clan skins and skins like Calamity, Fade, and Ripley are (for me) much more fun and interesting than what we have been getting.

This means little to nothing. Its just informing you how long the BP is available for. Exclusivity can be retured multiple times for a period of time. They never said it was only exclusive for that date, only for the season.
I feel like if they don’t rerelease old Battle Passes, I think they might try and pull an OG type of situation where we either have remixed/fused skins based off the original skins with a full 200 level Battle Pass that is for all 10 seasons for all 10 months. Everytime we fully go through is all 10 seasons and restart we get a new battle pass
In my opinion, the older were better and yes, remixed skins can be nice, but they're never as good as the original and if the solution to whenever people want the old skins back is to just remake them, we'll end up with so many reskins that it'll get boring after a while, not to mention it still doesn't solve the root issue. People want the originals, not some poor man's adaptation. Plus, it's not like everyone wants it because they're rare. People want good stuff, and newer cosmetics simply don't live up to that standard (especially when 90% of new skins are collabs and I don't even remember the last emote that wasn't a TikTok dance (I know ch1-2 had some popular internet dances, but they still had an original twist)). I do agree that it would be breaking a promise if old battle passes returned, but recent times have given players very little hope and trust in Epic like you yourself have said. At least with this, they'd be breaking a promise on something seemingly most people want, instead of screwing over players time and time again. Just look at this chapter. We had bullet drop, mods that were forgotten, the original moment change, the prelude event and nearly everyone hated these for one reason or another. In the end, though, I don't care what happens. If they bring them back, it'll be great, and I'll be happy for those who can finally have the good, original skins. But, if they don't come back, then it's not the end of the world and people will just have to wait for the game to go offline (if it ever does😂).

Recon Expert was the biggest evidence of this. Came back, all the new kids got it, lobbies full of Recon Expert, lost its rarity, and is now one of the most underused skins in Fortnite. Majority of people only want what they don't have. Same with Paradigm, I haven't seen 1 person use her now (both new players and Og players)💀

This still doesn't solve the mystery of the "OffersCatalogue" folder in the item shop's code. Why add the old Battle Pass key art to that folder? Maybe they're planning for the far future? This ruling isn't permanent. Thay can change their minds at any time. I'll wait as long as it takes.

personally, I think it's likely Epic added it in to see how the community would react. If epic really didn't want to confirm it, they could've easily blacklisted the old BP assets as they aren't needed anymore yet they left them in the files.
I love the drift set. i have every drift skin except chapter season 5 battle pass drift. No matter how many new versions or remixes they release, nothing is gonna stop me from wanting the og drift

i think they will use the loophole they said that skins from battlepasses now can be in the ITEM SHOP however they said that each battlepass previously is only available during that season and when the season ends you cant get them.....BUT if it is chapter 1 season 2 for og fortnite then technically it is available as a battlepass again. as someone who owns the og skins (2017 player) if they bring them back give us og edit styles for the gliders pickaxes backblings skins just like skull trooper and ghoul not giving us that bare minimum is morally wrong especially since were talking about the core community who has been here for 7 years supporting the game.
It’s more to it than someone wanting to play as black knight. It’s the fact some players always wanted certain old BP skins but couldn’t get them. Some wanted darth Vader who was a BP skin, other players who played in CH1 wanted renegade raider or sparkle specialist or something point is no matter when you started its most likely if you played the game for a while there’s a battepass you don’t have that has cosmetics in it and they are doing this along with starter packs and hopefully season shop to give every player there wishes which will make everyone happy in some way and also make them money everyone gets happy and it’ll be in Christmas spirit too ❤❤❤❤
Theres so many people obssessed over getting these old skins who wouldnt even use them after rhe first 2 weeks. But theres also so many people starkly defending the old skins, acting like people are entitled for wanting to pay fornthe chance to earn these old cosmetics that barely anyone even uses.
This is old news. We know old passes can't return under this change. No one ever thought that. We know it's possible because they can re-run old seasons and sell the passes along with them, which is not related to this change made in August in any way. Through this "loophole", (and it's hard to call it a loophole because of how dumb simple it is) Epic Games would not be going against anything they ever said.
I’m an og to Fortnite but I do have to say I wanna let new people get the old passes we had. It make sense we’re having fun not being so greedy and just angry over wanting to get the passes exclusive. If I wanna have fun and let others give it a shot then that’s my choice
I think the community needs to start thinking of the future of the game and cosmetics instead of the past. That being said, I think we should actively be asking Epic Games to focus on remaking all of the old battle pass characters, but better as well as making better new cosmetics. Instead of getting 20 Peely reskins, where are the reskins for Dire, Catalyst, Dusk, Thunder, etc.?
Also, as cool as Omega is, Epic Games added Omega Knight, which is even cooler than the original Omega if you ask me. I do hope Omega Knight returns in the future since he's an amazing skin.
It's stupid that OG people are making such a big deal over something that Epic can just give them a exclusive style for and let people who never had a chance just get the skins they want.

I hope they bring back old passes. From a personal standpoint, I just want the Skye skin and that's it. From a less selfish one, why wouldn't I want people to be able to play as Doomguy? Why would I want that to be exclusive to me and others who both played and bought it during Chaper 4?
I get they made a promise that would be exclusive, but I can't imagine being angry about that promise being broken if it means more people get to have more enjoyment with the game.
I also don't get the, "If it happens, I'll uninstall." You'd uninstall because people can finally buy a 5-6 year old skin? If that's enough to make you quit playing the game, why exactly are you still playing it..? I mean this genuinely because if that's all it'd take, you're probably not actually enjoying the game.
It’s not just the skins people want it’s the dance moves and other goodies that came with them I’m an OG and yeah I agree the battle passes should be sold to people again. There’s more to this and I get the whole keep your word in but there have been company’s who’ve stated they weren’t gonna bring it back but until popular demand then they did but I hope epic goes by their words and let those passes comeback for all to have fun
if they do start releasing exclusive skins in the shop they would all end up just like the recon expert,ghoul troop and skull trooper everybody wanted them and now that they’ve been to the shop a ton of times no one cares about them anymore and they’re just regular skins. I wouldn’t mind them doing it if they add edit styles for the original owners tho
the only thing about old battlepasses not returning that I'm sad about is the fact that I'll never get the OG Lobby Music from the Season X Battlepass. I love that music, wish I'd have gotten it.
I was on the side of them returning at first but i switched sides with Klarque's video. Epic promoted old BPs as exclusive and og owners dont deserved to be deceived when a lotta folks grinded the passes solely with the expectation of not being able to get the skins at a later date.
What I will say is it's epic game's fault they're being pressured to bring them back as hard as they have been lately. Full respect to Epic's concept artists but it feels like (more times than not) they design remixes for old battle pass skins with the intention of selling it to people who had the original skin and want to double dip rather than actually serve as a decent replacement for those who missed out on the original pass. Perfect example I can think of is Dynamo TNTina. Drastically different hair style, different clothes-- really the only thing she shares with the original is the same face model and color scheme. Summer drift shares nearly nothing in common with its original skin-- different face model, different outfit, no lightning effect. The only thing tying the 'remix' to its original skin is hair and color scheme.
The only BP remix skins I think Epics knocked it out of the park for are all of Midas' remixes and Heroic hope. If Epic did remixes for old battle pass skins that heavily resembled the original skins they're based on and dont take away what made people love them in the first place, then perhaps people wouldn't be so mad about their exclusivity.
They should give us the option to complete old battle passes we bought but didn't complete.

if that's the case, epic could've blacklisted the battle pass assets from appearing in future release builds of the game (like they do with everything they "remove") so why is it still in the files? (when the accidental update that brought back the ch3 map in the files was reverted the next update)
At the end of the day it's epic games game so technically they can bring back old battle passes and there is nothing we can really do about it that's why they changed the tos so they can't get sued let's hope they bring back old battle passes

With old starter packs coming back to skins being "accidently" dropped. Epic Games is a massive company and they can do what they want within their discretion. Epic games left a bad taste in my mouth fom leaving OG to chapter 5 so after this chapter 2 season ends, I’m quitting Fortnite permanently until og comes bk and this may sound crazy but I started Fortnite in chapter 2 season 4 ,i just enjoy chapter 1 og that much and having no faith in epic and chapter 6.

The support page these tweets are using and quoting to show that they arent coming back, is in fact a support page asking about the battle pass changes, of C5S4 forward having items possibly return to the item shop after 18month, so saying old passes arent affrcted by this is in fact only saying that 'items from C5S3 backwards will not be appearing in the jtem shop',
Its not the nail in the coffin that most people are treating it like. Also acknowledging the ACTUAL meaning if the support page people are quoting, does not make me an entitled whining baby who wants pixels. I, like ive mentioned in several other places, would prefer Ultima Knight level remixes/remakes, being the definitive version of each skin
well said, lot of people just want the skin because no one else has it, the moment they have it the hype dies down either way and these grown men and women who played in season one chapter one need to stop and grow up "we will sue epic if they bring back battle passes from season 1 chapter 1" like no you will not. they will find a loop hole or they won't.
I quite literally just went through all this with the Paradigm skin. I bought it back in Season X, and watched it return to the shop for an hour and then see the new Paradigm owners get to keep it for free. So as an OG, I have first hand experience of this. At first I was shocked, but I grew to accept it, partly because I was there to watch something similar happen to Skull Trooper and Ghoul trooper.
Quite frankly, it's impossible to please everyone, no matter what Epic decides here. But Here's my opinion. Every Battle Pass I've ever bought, there's always been skins I never cared for. Defenders of exclusivity love to mention the Black Knight, Renegade Raider, Drift, etc. but what about the Blue Squire, Rust Lord, Tilted Technique, Rox, Dire, X Lord, etc.? Who cares if Battlehawk, Trog, or Zenith are exclusive or not? I have archived most of my Chapter 1 and 2 Battle Pass skins because I know I will probably never use them unless some unforeseen niche situation occurs. If Sparkle Supreme hit the item shop today, would anyone remember that she was from the Season X Battle Pass? If I entered the lobby using Maya, would anyone notice? If I use the "wave" or "salute" emote from Chapter 1, would anyone recognize them? I main as the Blue Squire and most players don't even treat me differently or single me out, a few rare players do, and I was once eliminated by a Black Knight, and emoted with a Royale Knight in Team Rumble once, but those are the exceptions. Most of my Chapter 1 friends left Fortnite years ago, and I gave up trying to rally them back long ago.
I do understand the joy of having an exclusive skin, and what it's like watching that exclusively suddenly vanish without warning. The Paradigm is one of my favorite skins. And if anything, I use her more now because of her og edit style. Just because She was accidentally returned to the item shop doesn't mean that I don't find value in her anymore. And even if my favorite og bp skins return, I still value mine, the work I put into unlocking them and the other memories of them. And who knows, maybe I'll finally finish my Carbide.
If these old Battle Passes returned, and that's still speculation if they will, does it really detract their value? Account selling is illegal, so there's no real monetary value here, just whatever value you assign to these skins.
there's nothing legally binding with epic bringing back battlepasses and that they can be "sued" for false advertisement. They already made Sparkle Specialist avaliable OUTSIDE of the battle pass to the top 100 boogie down contest winners back in 2018, they made Ride The Pony avaliable to those who bought STW (and yeah, I know that they got compensated. but it still applies), etc.
Can I ask these leakers why NOBODY (despite Fortnite being very mainstream back in 2018) sued epic for "false advertisement" over the fact that they made sparkle specialist avaliable outside of the battle pass?? yeah that's right. it's because the EULA you signed at the start of when you first played Fortnite has always stated that Epic can do whatever they want with their game and that you cannot sue them for any of those things.
and besides, you have to be an absolute loser to sue epic just because they brought back something you paid 10 dollars for. If you want to sue epic, sue them for their failed promises to STW. not for video game cosmetics you haven't used in years.

I believe the claim about the fncs lobby track is from the “brace for chaos” track that was for fncs aura in chapter 4 season 2, which was then re released in a festival pass as a jam track (i believe it was lady gaga’s)

For me personally, I would not care one way or the other. It would be nice IF they decide that they should bring back the old passes (Even though that would mean going back on their word). IF they decide to do that, I hope they set it up where people can pick and choose which skins from old passes they want (And the stuff that comes with those skins). Because IF so, I only really want 12 skins from the passes I never had the chance to play with. The 12 I wanted are of designs I found interesting (I came in fully into Fortnite on chapter 2, season 6 and looked up the battlepass skins from before)

August- Fortnite announced that new battle passes can return to the shop after 18 months
The statement on the support page means that new pass items can be sold on their own so old battle passes can return as the pass itself like ch1 s2 battle pass can just be sold in the shop as the pass itself for 950 v-bucks
October- Fortnite re-added the ch1 battle pass images to the files in a folder called Offer Catalog why would they do this out of the blue
OG ch1 SX Paradigm returned to the shop then was removed and OG owners got an exclusive edit style altering their promise
Exclusitivity is ending for a lot of things in Fortnite

The FNCS lobby music (Run it) was limited to that time of FNCS. They made it free and only compensated 200 vbucks (the price)

It’s too much of an topic for those battle passes not too return. Like you said everything doesn’t add up. They will bring those passes back, its an million dollar deal just waiting to happen. OG’s will get their compensation. I honestly do not care that my exclusive items will be sold again. It gets me confused why people are forgetting that there are skins other then black knight in older battle passes he isn't the the only skin people want from OG passes. Most people want epic to do this not for the OG stuff but for the collabs and good looking original skins locked away forever and a reskin wont work you fell in love with the original and a reskin isn't THE skin. Im in the boat where i just want skins like joey, Lara croft, Optimus prime, Helsie, era, Mizuki, Dusty, Rebirth Raven, Trace and to finish my edit styles for lexa and even Sorana etc. I could care less for finishing my season 2 pass for black knight or finishing my omega colors the majority of people from what I've seen on twitter don't care for the OG skins but need epic to do this to get the actual skins we want later on. well its just not because of the fact that they don't want these skins to return, its because some of these skins were actually tuff to get and also it took alot of time just to get the max versions of them. so if they were released and made the challenges easier, it would defeat the point of grinding for the to begin with. when it comes to skins like black night or wenegade wader, i dont give a fuck sense they are only valuable because of there place and rarity. however skins like omega, golden peely, ragnarock. those are skins that you really had to grind for and serve to make that skin even more exclusive to you. those should not return sense those are skins that served alot of time and energy to get.
