it's so beautiful where she works out her horse - you almost expect the teletubbies to come over the ridge.

He was such a lovely, gentlemanly sort of horse - together with his ability, he must've been a dream to compete on/own. A tough act to follow, but let's hope Zara finds her next Toytown soon...

The "built in mounting block" is actually a set of steps so you can get into the living, they are just useful to get on from!

I love how her horse is completely chilled at the Olympic games and my horse gets sweaty, starts going backwards and jogs on the spot at a Pony club rally.

@hojoleon Why on earth are you commenting about how she looks! It's irrelevant. She is a lovely rider and I have the upmost repect for her as I do anyone who has ridden at that level. Riders at this level are to be emulated.

drinkmoretui I know it was 2 yrs ago but she doesn't use Rolkur once. Rolkur is a hyper flextion of the horses poll and neck, the horse is ridden here with light contact and his head and neck are placed lightly on what we call "on the bit" with contact which can be seen when the horses face is parallel with its chest like a box shape. Rolkur is when the horses poll is below the point of the withers, the head is too close to the chest and the horses neck and throat is strained into a shape. Besides Rolkur is illegal and she would have been caught for it. ^_^

I have heard that Equestrian therapy is good for those who have suffered bipolar depression or mental health issues. In my family the circumstances of the special needs population has existed especially that I have a first cousin who is Autistic. I on the other hand has suffered not only bipolar depression, PTSD, Social Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder/Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD) and Borderline/Mild general learning disability, within the form that of the advanced and higher functional rank of those with disabilities. More on the educatable type. I also suffer pain due to personal health reasons. I have seen people with much more moderate to severe through profound General learning disabilities get more specific special needs services or rehabilitation. I do take medications such Zoloft (Sertraline) 50 mg. and Ritalin (Methylphenidate) 20 twice daily. Typically the generic prescriptions.
