Great review on the new Naxx cards
Make Ironbark Grizzly!
LOL that Ironbark Grizzly image got me BUSTING up laughing! (10:37)
***** Jens I think is a woman
***** Jens is a guy :P
EpicPanda111 I don't think we should speculate on it's gender specifications.
DELPHIIII jens is a male name though
So is Ali. Too bad it's my sisters name too.
I sacrifice Feugren and Stalagg to summon: Exodia the forbidden one!
***** Nah it's fine. Exodia only has an effect in his hand anyway and can't be tribute summoned.
"Polymorph"
Well played.
You activated my trap card, Misdirection! This card takes your monster's attack, and sends it right back at you!
Heart of the cards.
Huehuehue people used to not like Sludge Belcher.
Now it's in every deck ...
UtterAttack Did you see how he said loatheb was just meh.....
Macwylee Loatheb is meh. It is meta dependent as to whether or not to run it.
+Macwylee loatheb is not a good card, emperor thaurissan for example is considerably better, but depending of the current meta, it could worth a try
Lorenzo Herreros You must be new
"Feugen is a 5 mana 4/7, which is pretty good since for 5 mana you would expect to get a 5/6. Actually, currently there is not even a 5 mana 5/5 out there."
- Two cards later -
"Allright, Loatheb! A lot of hype over this card. 5 mana 5/5, reasonable stats."
Not to mention Stranglethorn Tiger.
Think he meant 4/6 since 5/5 is quite vanilla for a 5 cost.
awsumdoood Still wrong because Spiteful Smith, also Spectral Knight coming out next week.
I think he meant a 5/5 without any text.
Your editing is superb Jens. At first I thought it was naturally part of the video which shows how good you are. Kudos and hats off to you sir.
Also, sick visual Jens, looks really nice :D
I'd like to mention that Reincarnate is an anti-buff card. This is humiliating, but I got my 16/16 Van Cleef reincarnated into a 2/2. Sounds to me like the versatility will make it work.
How did you get reincarnate and van cleef? its a shaman cards that you cant get yet?
The Naxx bosses run Naxx cards that haven't been released yet.
Reiker
But how he got them?
And only way he would got them was priest that DOESNT HAVE VAN CLEEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so he is liar.
Huge liar right here, Reincarnate isn't even released yet.
"oh haw haw liar you can't have both Reincarnate and Van Cleef in a deck"
yeah but the shaman can reincarnate any minion. Sure he might be lying about it because the card isn't out yet but the point is valid nonetheless - everyone assumes Reincarnate to be a Full Heal/Free Deathrattle proc/Shadowstep for Leeroy but it's also a very powerful anti-buff card, as it removes any effects the card had on revive.
Because fuck priests. Thieving little white boys.
omg I live for the out of nowhere Trump quotes like "Maexxna only softly massages the opponent's face" XD
To the editor (jens?)
Your work is brilliant and equally hilarious and makes accessing not only this video but all of trumps videos flawless and easy thankyou!
Awesome production as always, kudos to Jens!
Maexxna is one of the best additions I ever made to my druid constructed deck. It almost always trades 2 or 3 for one (including ironbarks). Since it has huge health I usually have time to get mark of the wild on it. Healing touch and ancient of lore are also usually helpful to its effect.
But that's no different than an Ogre trading 2-3 for one.
The only time Maexxna is superior is when her "infinite" anti-minion dmg wrecks low dmg high hp mobs like Warden
Umbraeku It's a dragon slayer (4/12s).
Wasting a anicent of lore to heal maexna may be fine on rank 20, but otherwise its almost certainly a horrible play.
***** Because you dont count the cards you've used buffing and healing it of course! herp derp
Or then you just use silence and it's useless.
Void caller is insane! If u have illidian on your hand it will summon him for free. Also with Lord jaraxxus. I really like this Card. Can't wait to get it!
Cards are played without battle cries though, you don't want that for Jaraxxus surely.
So your argument is that Illadin Stomrage and Jaraxxus make it a good card? 2 Legendaries out of how many cards? Look at the cards stats and then see if it combos with any other cards, not the other way round.
***** I dunno, a 3/15 is pretty insane for eating an opponent's minions every turn.
In constructed it is an enabler, which will help certain cards like flame imp or succubus, but by turn 4 I've already plaid them. Cards above 4 cost mana that are demons, doomguard for example, seems slow as you use this to get them out for free but you want to use to DG to finish the opponent rather than giving the opponent a chance to react. Playing a lord J from this seems like I wouldn't even bother as I would rather have the INFERNO and weapon than a 3/15.
In arena there is just better 4 mana and common cards which I can pick. To summarise, it needs to try and enable it in a demon deck, which is hard, and arena will just have better options to have and I will pick on a certain situations. In my opinion it is below 75% in arena and I don't see this going into any serious constructed deck.
***** I imagine a trolden video on a turn 3 coin void caller -> sacrificial pact -> jaraxxus on turn 3.... INFERNO for days...
Watched this on stream but I'm impressed by this post-production!
Really good video! You have such a good grasp on the game and your thoughts are very interresting to listen to.
Also, the ironbark grizzly thing cracked me up big time! :D
There is a 5 mana 5/5, it's Loatheb
yeah and tiger
There has been one since the game came out; Stranglethorn Tiger. He forgot about him, and then spoke about him immediately afterwards... lol.
and the Tiger :D
Zedek I think maybe he meant to say that there aren't any 5 mana 5/6s because he was saying that you expect a 5 mana card to have 5/6 but there aren't actually any minions like that.
well the wonderful thing about tiger, is tiger's a wonderful thing. the top is made of 5 mana, the bottom is made of 5/5 with stealth. *insert rest of joke here*
Will try Stalagg + Feugen in one of my warrior controldecks, in quite a lot of games vs other controldecks it comes down to the last 5 cards or even drawing the entire deck.
Also, can't wait to try Death's Bite. Other than just using the aoe vs zoo I'm curious how often I'll be able to either hit face/kill a taunt and enrage grommash for the finisher.
Great job on the editing and visuals Jens, as always :)
That Ironbark Grizzly 10:35 :D
Nice work Jens :)
I was really waiting for him rambling about every card for 40 minutes!!!
Which just shows how sad i am....
Damn hearthstone expansions used to be really small, one card per class LUL
Adventure, not expansion
Nice one! Also, really fancy editing in this one Jens!
omg machinimasound is so good the sounds there give me goosebumps, the outro was just so epic and the rest there is mostly awesome as well
Trump has a point about costly cards in MtG, but HS has a different mana system, so Kel'Thuzad might not be as bad as it sounds. Especially, if your board is full of Deathrattles.
or taunts
"Especially" is why it's bad. when it costs this much it has to do something everytime it enters the board.
it will not replace rag for sure
gunnervine I think you misunderstood. DRs are just a bonus, if any minion was out, it was probably worth it.
gunnervine Just like black knight?
It disturbs me that cards received from solo adventures are becoming the new meta. These days ladder is almost exclusively littered with death rattle decks, which made the deck that I have been fine tuning since beta completely obsolete. It's fine that these Naxx cards are effective when comboed accordingly, but the fact that some of them are necessarily in order to remain competitive (sludge belcher, loatheb, mad scientist, and more) is taking away the fun of employing different strategies towards a successful deck. In addition, the wings are unreasonably priced gold-wise so the majority of people who have them paid real money for these cards, the implications here should be obvious.
i do think nax cards are won way too easily. like for those who were able to buy, like if it meant you gert the better cards in heroic mode then that would truly show skill but i do understand the frustrations revolving around nax
The best way to get Naxx cards is probably to play the first wing free, sink 700-1400 gold into the next one or two wings, then pay for the final few. If you do it this way it costs $10ish rather than $20. I think this is fair considering the game itself is free and the Naxx wings provide you with several hours worth of gameplay and new cards to use in constructed.
Once you have the wings, the cards themselves are pretty easy to acquire. You just need a little persistence and luck in a couple matchups (Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad mostly, on normal difficulty). There are all sorts of guides on how to beat each boss. I found this one especially helpful: www.cinemablend.com/games/Hearthstone-Curse-Naxxramas-Guide-How-Beat-Each-Boss-Heroic-66415.html The class challenges, once you unlock them, are super fun and easy. If you do decently in arena, these should be a breeze since they mostly play like the typical mid-rangey arena deck.
Hope this helps!
***** The first wing isn't really free either. It takes a grand total of 3500 gold, which is over 7 1/2 weeks of grinding. How do you win in the meantime if all your gold is being saved up for that stupid Sludge Belcher?
JakesFavorites The first few Naxx bosses are (were? not sure if they still are) free to play. No gold or money cost. Each set of Naxx bosses is a wing. Unless Blizzard is doing something goofy, the first wing does not cost 3500 gold.
***** The first wing cost 700, as do all the others. You can get into it free, but you have to unlock it first. With 700 gold.
Very informative video. The statement about Maexxna softly massaging the opponents face made me laugh hard :D
Morning coffee and ironbark grizzly, first laugh of the day, cheers to you Jens.
2:33 "this card is going to be very good in ooze" :D
That ironbark grizzly lololol
It's funny to watch the million jump-edits but thank you very much for this. I'm still a novice so i find this helpful.
Thank you Jens for the cards at the bottom.
7- 10 for 5 mana? More like 7-7 for 4
Seth Deneroff no creature cab withstand the 4 mana 7 7
Okay, say this bizarre and unlikely scenario happens:
You're playing Shaman. You have Feugen and Stalaag on the board, and you used Reincarnate on Feugen a turn earlier. You have Baron Rivendare in hand, and your opponent has some beefy creature that you need to trade both Feugen and Stalaag into. If you play Baron Rivendare, and then suicide Feugen and Stalaag (Stalaag first,) do you get 4 Thaddius(es)?
Umm, yes. The way it works is that it checks if the event "Stalagg died" the moment an unsilenced Feugen dies has happened, and if the answer is yes, it summons a Thaddius. Same with Stalagg. So when Stalagg dies, the statement "Feugen has died" is true, therefore it summons a Thaddius, and Baron duplicates it. And when the second Feugen dies, the statement "Stalagg has died" is true, so it will summon a Thaddius, and again, the Baron duplicates it. And you get Poison Seed'd, because only druids have stuff that beefy ^^
Nóra B
xD
But yeah, just making sure that was how the interaction is. I'm gonna have to try to make some super gimmicky shaman deck that's only goal is to bring out multiple Thaddiuses lol
+1 for Ironbark Grizzly. Nice editting :D
Great review. Thanks for the insight. Many nax cards (I would say the majority including almost all of the legendary cards) are too combo reliant. I bought the the nax wings just to get: Loatheb, webspinner, egg, Spectral knight and sludge Belcher. Not a big fan of the other cards. Undertaker can be good if you like those kind of decks.
Best card right now is Ironbeak Owl
no lol, you want the card for the silence not the crappy minion
They're both crappy minions. Why would I pay 2 extra mana to dump more stats into a crappy minion that I don't even want? I want the silence not the minion.
***** nobody cares about owl for the minion, they care because it's a class inclusive silence for 2 mana, the lowest available cost for any class to use a silence.
quite
***** it doesn't have more value, it costs 2 more mana to get a +2/+2 statline, so it breaks even on that front. But when you take into account the utility of having a 2 mana silence as opposed to a 4 mana one, the Ironbeak is a much better card
Zombie Chow + Auchenai Soulpriest anyone?
Oh my god, Yes, Yes, Yes
Wombo Combo!!!
CIRCLE OF HEALINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Auchenai only does spells/hero power I believe.
Brodie Kelly "Your CARDS and powers..." So no, cards. Not spells. Cards.
Cards. That means Voodoo Doctor, Earthen Ring Farseer...
Cards.
I really appreciate the effort put into this video. Thanks very much.
Could you update your arena tiers for Naxxramas? Thanks =]
Above par editing this time! Thanks a lot!
you are a shaman and you have baron rivendare on the board and than you send out caine bloodhoof than you use ancestral spirit on it and than also use reincarnate
Thats 2 turns, then you gotta hope that Rivendare doesn't die/get silenced.
7 health and put it on an empty board only. the only weekness i can see is fireball fire blast
Holy shit
yeah thats like 5 or 6 4/5s and two of them are caines
ancestral spirit earth elemental Baron Rivendare.
Haunted Creeper summons TWO Spectral Spiders when it dies. Why two? Because one of the ghost spiders was Haunted Creeper's unborn child. Liek dis if you crai everytiem.
+TheRandomEpicVideos dis is false informantion b cauz spoders have 10,000 babies when they birth live eggs
Jens, your editing makes me moist.
Reincarnate seems really good to me... Two mana Deathrattle or Charge trigger, soft silence for enemy minions, or full heal on one of your big guys. Very versatile.
17:34 stranglethorn tiger, silly
+UtterAttack He meant with no effects/just stat cards I believe
+UtterAttack Tiger is a 5/5, silly
If i play zombie chow whit auchenai, does it deal 5 damage instead?
yes
Whoah, hadn't considered that, brah. Cool.
No, zombie chow is not a spell or a hero power.
Alexander Goloborodov auchenai's ability isn't limited to only spells or hero power, as long as it's a heal. u can try to use earthen ring farseer's heal with auchenai, it becomes a 3 dmg removal.
yes
lmao, i loved your ironbark grizzly edit xD
awesome edit as always :)
NAXX IS OUT!
you think poison seeds suck? I have had so much success with it! Druid has basically no other way to remove a large amount of big stuff, it deals with one of it's biggest weakness, the giants deck, very well, I use this card in decks that also have soul of the forest in them, filling my board completely, and it's a 9 mana full board clear if you combo it up with starfall, I love it!
well, bgh, problem solved.
Stewart Huang
well you only got two of those and warlock has 4 gians, 6 with faceless
yes, so you use it when: you're desperate or to gain tempo.
other times you could just trade minions and swipe, starfall.
oh, and don't forget about the black knight! nasty against giants as well! (if they have taunt ofc)
Stewart Huang
desperation is just a state of mind, confidence wins games
*****
well then you use it sooner such to avoid taking all that damage
I feel reanimate could also be a lot of fun if a deck is built around it. Cards like Sludge belcher who you can kill to get him and his minion. Maybe even with Earth Ele, since even with the overload you can still reanimate next turn.
Maybe more card reviews? This was fun to watch :)
Ironbark Grizzly would be OpieOP. 11/11 for 11 mana. Wait...
dats wat i was tinkin
vinny deceglia ironbark owl
I think your being way to harsh to the gargoyle as your not looking to the future. Right now it's mediocre not bad and It could work with buffs that give taunt or priest divine spirit inner rage with defenders and sunfury protectors. And in the future when we get more buff cards it could become its own archetype. And also Maexxna doesn't suck
idk how many Trump videos you watch... but he never considers a card that has to be given specific cards to be useful good in itself
Have fun having your gargoyle or your Maexxna get stomped on by Kodos. I see no reason not to run two of them in every control deck. So many new targets to hit.
lkjkhfggd Dont tell him that, My twin Kodo's are hungry for some extra value.
In general, buffing a card takes some turns and it is weak to silences...it may be good in arena where you have some buffs for it and hope that enemy didn't get a chance to take a silence card, but it is too risky and you have better cards in all other classes which you would pick over this one.
For reference to this I come from an MTG background and combo decks are something that exist were talking turn 0 kills. Synergies are what make a card game so don't expect every card to win a game on its own because it can't. Those who say removal makes these cards shit, well duh removal makes every card shit in that regard ( except untargetables). Silence is not prominent if you didn't notice we have only 7 cards that have the mechanic only about half of them being playable and 4 of them are class specific.
Shade of Naxxramas looks like it'll be good in a shaman deck with some windfury provider. You could do it the other way round with windfury cards and Conceal / Master of Disguise in a rogue deck to get the same kind of punch, but I feel like Shade is probably easier to get going without leaving a huge window for your enemy to take board control.
@Jens that Ironbark Grizzly doe😂😂
The 3 times I've seen kelthuzad used, I was utterly destroyed as he freely traded my entire board in a turn, making horrible trades and winning. If you have creatures I have full confidence in the guy
Jack Duripper yes, if you have the board and some dudes on it, Kel'Thuzad is a great guy.
every other time he's just a 6/8 8-mana cost card and therby not worth it.
Jack Duripper oh, and as soon as someone somehow managed to get TWO Kel'Thuzads on the board, I instantly conceded!
ZeGermanGamer I'm actually OK with the 6 attack to dodge bgh, which is everywhere thanks to Dr. Boom. Do wish it had more attack though.
Jack Duripper sure, since dr. boom and the re-appearance of BGH in ladder, I prefer my 6 attack big drops as well.
*nothing hurts more*, than seing your big drops annihilated by that monocle wearing jackass (except any and all actual physical pain)!
Well, zombie chow+auchenai+circle combo inc..Bit of a stretch, but I can see it happening.
Zombie Chow + Auchenai is already really good, perhaps there will be more priest burst decks! xD
Sergeant Xilos
I think the better use for Zombie Chow outside of the first turn is cheap soft taunt. It has enough health to not be a trivial kill, which might cause your opponent to invest too much killing it instead of something more important.
Basically, if you play Auchenai first, or both on the same turn, you're not going to be able to kill Zombie before Auchenai dies unless you're really lucky. She's already a big target for removal, and Zombie Chow will just be more incentive.
Also consider, barring whatever method you might use to kill Zombie Chow for the 5 damage, this is already a 5 mana, 2 card investment, that's not guaranteed to work. Holy Fire does just as much TARGETABLE damage for only 1 mana more, and if Auchenai's not out you also get healed for 5.
Earthen Ring Farseer is still the superior Auchenai synergy card because it's not risky, it can be aimed, it's instant, you get a better minion out, and if you don't have Auchenai then Earthen Ring Farseer is still really good.
I'm not saying Zombie Chow can't work with Auchenai, but the timing, lack of targetability, and potential risks of Zombie Chow make the combo unlikely to work as more than a distraction.
Ah, I just meant that dropping the Auchenai when your about to trade the Zombie Chow would already decent enough of a combo. It's all situational though, just thinking of fancy gimmicks, it's main role is probably just for setting up early board control Transformers And Power Rangers Toy Reviews
Transformers And Power Rangers Toy Reviews It works when you want to do the soulpriest + circle combo for a board clear. If you have 1 more mana then it's a mindblast as well. It's not great, but later in the game it'll just be a 5 mana heal for the opponent.
adamburgers When it works, it works, but a generally more useful card, like a Leper Gnome, would be a better choice to have in your deck if you have the space.
i love sludge belcher because it is like one extra taunt sitting there. it is definitely better than 5 mana 4/7 taunt. because you can't really kill it off using just one minion or one spell or a minion with buff. you need 2 spells or 2 minions to actually kill it.
Jens i love your video editing skills / how you edit the video you make it entertaining yet cool and funny :)
Emagine Baron Rivendare with Tirion, and when he dies you become Titan's Grip dual wielding Ashbinger paladin xD
It'd be cool if you had a 10/6
2 Zombie Chow + Auchenai Soulpriest + Baron Rivendale = 20 damage to Enemy hero's face
Dammit,OTK's are the reason I stopped playing yugioh.
Kingnewgameplus Well, at least you can stop it with silences, etc. :P
It's very hard to get all these cards out at the same time, but it would be cool tho :P
Mads Møller Hansen I think you can try to pull it off if you have Circle of Healing in your hand. That way you get maximum value with 4 or less health minions on the other side. You just need a huge taunt to take all that damage. But yes, it could be very hard to do it. lol
Feugen and Stalagg are pretty interesting considering the Baron Rivendare deathrattle passive. Potentially, there could be two thaddiuses on the field. It's an extremely dangerous card though! Especially if someone else puts it in.
I really like my Death Druid deck I've put together. It tends to do pretty well. Turn 1, coin egg (undertaker if I went first), turn 2 for either another egg or haunted creeper, turn 3 power of the wild, turn 4 Baron Rivendare and suicide my deathrattles if I can. This changes against paladin so I can just keep them from using that threatening consecrate, but it usually works pretty well.
ironbark grizlly xD 10:35
Deathlord is a Gamechanger! Its overpowered!
No it isn't.
I know. It was sarcasm
Ole Andreas Egeland Rørvik hate that guy! he won me many games though, when my opp played it, I mean. similarly, he'd LOST me some games as well. there are battlecries you just cannot miss - especially in constructed...
Yeah
Not op rag comes outwhat the
Kind of surprised Trump struggled to explain why Sludge Belcher is good. It basically comes down to a 1/2 Taunt being good, but a 1/2 Taunt CARD being bad.
The thing that easily turned me away from Poison Seeds was that your opponent gets to use them immediately, you have to wait (unless you taunt up, etc). Though say in a Druid mirror match, you're taking the Force out of the Force Savage combo for your opponent Druid.
Sweet, a second opinion, already heard what noxious thought of them but it'd be nice to have a slightly more serious player (not that nox is a nub) go over them just to confirm opinions.
Back when hearthstone was still good
This was much flashier than the stream :D
i had this cool idea for a sort of minigame for hearthstone called top deck wars. U and ur opponent start out with 10 mana 0 cards. After the draw of beginning a turn, the card u draw is most likely the only card u will play that turn (unless ur a warlock) and basically u just try and get the better cards out on the field! (also, the deck u use will be in the same format as arena where theres a draft)
1:00 = Trump and Chow
He seems to be confused about big cards when they are released. He said Dr. Boom was bad but Sneed's was OP when GvG was released.
+onirider What does it have to do with Zombie Chow?
Feel like you forget it's value with charger minions....
Kel'Thuzard I mean... Emagine Kel'Thuzard with a wolfrider for example.
But it only resummons at the end of the turn, it doesn't instantly resummon them, sorry
TuUhmazyn NOOOOOOOOOOOOO >.< then it fucking suck!
***** but it lets you trade a large guy into a large guy, and still have board control, like if a druid plays an ancient of war, you could push your guys into it, kill it, and have them all respawn. alone kel'thuzad isn't that good, but it can be combed nicely, especially if you have a baron and things like a leper gnome or reincarnate and the shamans resummons card. kel'thuzad would need a little set up to be good but it would be very good if executed properly.
Not cost efficient enough and rare situational.. so it's bad card..
***** bad? maybe, but its worth the fails if you get even one game were it just stomps. Maybe not win efficient but it sure is funny
very nice edit and comment
keep up the good work >w
The weblord can be good at disrupting your opponent early on but it highly depends on what they have in their opening hand. I've seen it leave people with no plays until turn 4.
spectral knight is way to strong if u cant see the potential in ramp druid decks. turn 1 spectral knight you won the game
Its highly unlikely to get it on turn one though as it requires you go second which is 50/50, have both innovates a 2/30 chance and then draw or have in hand with spectral knight I'm not a statistics major but it seems VERY low. Even so you still have 4+ turns to deal with it depending on how the enemy attacks and he just wasted most of his hand.
Low cost taunts/zoo would deal with most of the pressure until you could handle it like mirror image and if you delay it, it basically means you win unless the druid also runs into crazy card draw along the way
I'm not saying it wouldn't be difficult but honestly you could say the same about any class having a perfect opening hand, there will always be a better one
I don't know why people think this automatically wins you the game. Turn two I play a 3/2. Turn 3 I play a 3/3. Those two guys take care of spectral knight unless Druid also has a wrath. His three cards will kill two of mine and deal eight damage to the face. That's hardly a game winner.
I've won plenty of games where the opponent played a Yeti turn one. It's a lot of pressure early game, but it doesn't mean you can't fight back.
lkjkhfggd Exactly and if you do take out the pressure early on then the Druid is SIGNIFICANTLY behind playing 4 cards for any 1 creature is a huge investment regardless of what it is.
Spectral Knight can be silenced
dont meen to sound like a noob and stuff but what does "zoo" mean? dis my first time seeing dis dudes vids.
zoo is a type of deck which is run by douchebags and is fucking stupidly amazing deck
ummm......ok
Joshua Lostaunau Basically, zoo is a deck type normally ran by warlocks that focuses around summoning a shit ton of low cost minions to swarm the opponent, with a few giants thrown in for late game. Cards like flame imp, murlocs, the new creeper, and ironbeak owl are all examples of cards ran in zoo. Our friend here described it as 'ran by douchebags' because it has a very good skill in-to-power out ratio, so beginners can play it and have a high success rate.
thanks alot man
Joshua Lostaunau It ain't no thing. The only thing I ask in return is that you teach another hearthstone player something they don't know. Knowledge is power.
I love how he messes up minions' names and the new mixed version pops in :)
i can explain that belcher thing; it is very simple you get to block an extra attack, even if they black knight it they are not getting through easy, they need silence to deal with it very well, it is like that 3-6 taunt for 5(which is a good card) except with just 1 less heath and a second chance to block.
who's here in 2023
I'm playing some kind of rump druid, with 1 copy of poison seeds and 2 of eggs.
But I always find good time to play it. It's good!
The ironbark grizzly is hilarious Jens!
Thanks bro for the review!
The shade reminds me of another small idea I had a while ago...
A creature whose attack, health, and manacost are all equal to the turn number it was played on, so that he would be somewhat weak on the vanilla test, but it would always be relevant to play at any stage of the game.

in my opinion the sludge belcher is like a Senjin with divine shield for 2 health, i think of it that way because you need atleast 2 seperate thigns to kill both the belcher and the 1/2 taunt afterwards and because of that its like a divine shield for me
easy to explain the sludge belcher, its better because it forces another minion to hit it, or potentialy stopping a windfury high hitter, doesnt matter if it hits for 20 each time cuz it will have to spend both hits going through. Having actions happening in the enemy turn is always worth the price.
On the subject for Dancing Swords: like Mukla, one of the best current archetypes this seems like it could fit into would be aggroadin, where the deathrattle actually powers up Divine Favor.
On Shade of Naxxramas, I personally feel like it'll be a strong card. On your first swing, it's a 3 mana 3/3 that can still grow, which is a fine card to be playing. Any more, and it's definitely overstatted for 3 mana, which is great. I see it being most viable in a control deck though, where they can sit back on it for as long as they need, then use it to generate some card advantage (through eating other minions), or to start really hitting the face hard. One of the best parts about the card is that if it isn't dealt with early and gets left in stealth, it can quickly get out of the range of most AoEs.
On Duplicate, after earning the card I put together a mid-range mage sort of deck, and included Duplicate (plus a couple other choices to make things more justified). Kirin Tor Mage into Duplicate was always a pretty solid turn 3 play, and was particularly good on turn 2 with the coin. I was always quite happy to get 2 of any minion, save for my Mana Wyrm (which would require at least one more spell to be half decent), so I just kept this in mind on my turns when considering trading off minions. As an example, I traded off my Mana Wyrm into the opponent's 3/2 on one game, so that if he did remove a minion it had to be the Kirin Tor Mage. He did, and voila, I get two 4/3s for 3 in hand which is far from shabby. Admittedly, this was done at lower ranks, but the sheer upside of the card means it has potential - though like KT, it could well not be realised.
On Dark Cultists - the biggest issue with the card is that it occupies the same mana cost as Injured Blademaster, and while the stats are better than an unhealed Blademaster, Blademaster does have that juicy combo with Circle of Healing for a 4/7 on turn 2 or 3. The only issue priest will have is if you have the room to run both, and if not, which one gets priority.
10:38 Jens, I can't stop laughing! help!
Spent of a lot of time working with a Stoneskin Gargoyle enrage deck, a sort of Stoneskin -> Inner Rage -> Rampage deal. Came to the conclusion the dream would never be real
Duplicate actually worked out pretty well for me. Playing mage with a lot oft secrets and very few minions, mostly very big ones. Got Antonidas for example 5 times in one round..,
Agree about everything but duplicate. People have mentioned molten giants, and it should also be good with cult master, you either get two cult masters or three cards. Another idea is to drop Alexstraza from frost mage and use 5 leeroys over a few turns.
I made a control druid deck today, it worked really well. especially with the unstable ghoul in it. I won 3 games in a row with it. Definetely try unstable ghoul in huge late game decks :D Every round I waited until the opponent drew all his cards, and killed all his minions. I even got 2 of them to concede with this.
Sludge Belcher already proved its worth in the WEC NA Qualifiers, the 1/2 was overkilled with 3-4 damage soo many times. Great defensive tool. And really cool when golden (someone used golden faceless on it).
I really like unstable ghoul in arena. It's come in handy the few times I got it.
I love the thumbnail for this vid. "Guuuuuurrll lemmie tell you somethin' bout these here naxx cards." *finger snap*
XD the ironbark grizzly JUST BROKE ME!!! It's gonna giv me nightmares!! I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!!
21:53 It's almost like a Taz'dingo with a reverse Divine Shield. Instead of blocking as little as 1 damage up front, it blocks at least 5 damage. I would say its more or less a buffed Footman (Mark of Nature + DS) but is much less susceptible to silence. The obvious benefit is that it absorbs another swing even if the opponent has a board of 8/8s.
22:00 its basically why mirror image is so annoying. Its going to die instantly, but more often than not it forces a heavy minion to kill it and spare you the damage for a turn.
"softly massages the opponents face." i chuckled silently to myself on that one =)
