There are so many excellent watercolorists on You Tube, but I have never found a teacher as good as you !!!!
An amazing teacher and an awesome artist!! And I dont know you but you seem to be an amazing person, so lively and happy!!!
Ps this is the way I wish my yard looked. Never mind mowing grass anymore ! Lol
I've been a subscriber for several years now. Although I can't watch and/or comment on every video... when I do watch it amazes me how relaxed I become. You're a great artist AND instructor. I am not great with words but hope this makes sense.
Love the Color’s.
So pretty! I need to work on my “just play around” skills! When you do it, it’s beautiful…..when I do it I get a lot of mud. I’ll keep working on it, tho! Thanks for your tutorials.
keep colors from mixing too much keep brush clean- space them out more :)
Hey Ellen. I was looking at the picture and thinking, I think I’d make those trees taller on the left of the house. Then you said, by the way, I made the tall trees taller! And I thought yay, maybe I AM developing a slight artists eye! learning a lot from your videos Ellen, thank you! 💕
I love your style Ellen! when I paint, I hear your voice in my head: tippy-tap, tippy-tap! thank you so much!
I love how many of your thumbnails make me audibly say "oh wow!!!" Lol I just want that original on my wall now, absolutely beautiful
Glad you like them!
Lovely, Ellen. Thank you for sharing. I love the impressionistic look.
Hello Ellen , love these , more please.❤
Absolutely love this ….also,I like how you don’t panic if little happy accidents happen…you just “fix” it…🙂
yup!
This is really pretty, Ellen. Will give it a try in my sketchbook. Thank you for all you share of your talents.
You are so welcome!
Eager to try this. I need spring in my life. Thanks Ellen - fun as always.
Hope you enjoy it!
Ellen I’m so excited! I’m a patron! I love how you teach. I’m probably like many of your patrons, women, retired and living learning this fabulous art form! ❤️
So cool, the blue gouache at the end was an unexpected surprise! I need to play more! Thanks
Thank you! Cheers!
OM! I just did this! So much fun! I made it my own, but followed your technique!! Your so easy to enjoy! And very helpful! Thank you!! 🤗🎨👩🏽🎨
I don’t know what I would do without your tutorials. They just relax me and get me to believe in my ability to paint. Sometimes I give up and tell myself that I will never be able to watercolor, but then I do one of your tutorials and bingo I’m convinced that I can watercolor. Thank you sooooo much for your tutorials, especially the relaxed landscapes for beginners.
Lol, I knew you were going to say, "splatter". This is beautiful. I love to watch you paint.
Thank you Ellen! You give me courage!!
This is one of my favourites. It gives me a more confidence tackling landscapes and 'doing my own thing'. I love the emotion of loose painting. I liked this one so much I did it twice. I remember being afraid of watercolour before Covid but your loose, playful style but good colour work and compositions, just isn't found else where on TH-cam. A lot of your work make nice postcards and I have been doing postcards most of the time, as they are very useful. I've been enjoying your tutorials since the depressing time of Covid for two years and now we have this Ukraine War thing going on, and all that is a bit of a low. So your art has kept me somewhat sane, through pandemics, and wars! You know what, I am interested in doing war art work now, using your skills, something I would have never thought of doing. I was very excited to do the watercolour pencils afterwards, a new technique, which is good as my fine brushwork isn't that great.
Absolutely beautiful
I love the colors in this painting! You do such a great job explaining what you are doing. Thanks so much for doing these tutorials!
Stunning, Thankyou Ellen😃
Inspirational! Would also like to hear more about keeping colors fresh & avoiding mud.
clean brush- bright colors keep them from mixing too much
So fun. Thank you. ❤
I just found you and I’m so happy i did! You
Paint w such confidence!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your talent!
C'est magnifique ! Merci pour votre enseignement !
Beautiful
Woq, so awesome. Beautiful
Oh! I think I finally figured something out and following you as you stay so calm made it all work out! At last! Thank you!
Thanks so much Ellen, I just had the best time painting than I have had in a Long.... LONG time. You are the greatest.
Sooo glad I saw this. The number of techniques shown here are amazing. Definatly going to try this. Only have 9 x 12 but doable. Thank you, thank you ❤
another fun spring landscape th-cam.com/video/aC8GNvzOAUM/w-d-xo.html
I did this today, and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it, also how much I learned from it. And, it came out really really good and all my family loved it lol. Thank you for this tutorial, and the others that you do , you are a great teacher.
I did my house a little bit taller than it should be and I was thinking of turning it into a church, what do you think?
Love this tutorial!
so not easy to achieve your seemingly easy paintings! You are a great artist and teacher . thank you, I need to try your technique!
Love this video! Tried it with limited success.
I just found this channel. Been learning to watercolor from books and youtube. I really like what I have seen so far. I'll be back.
I love your teaching method! So relaxing! I don't always paint exactly how you fo yours as I don't have all the colors you use! Or the talent! But I love the way you make it fun and enjoyable!
I'd love to live here! Beautiful and so colorful!
Love love. Love.
This was AMAZING!! Am trying it! And “just have fun!”
This is beautiful. Yesterday I did the one tutorial you did recently of a loose floral and let's just say it didn't turn out as I hoped... but I learned some things. I may not be happy with the outcome of most of my " pieces" if you can even call it that lol, but I learn things each time and Im ok with that. I've learned super recently that I prefer the Princeton velvet touch long round ( I got this for my daughter for Xmas but I've never tried it myself and I know it's stupid but b4 I felt I should be able to get super fine lines and areas with the brush I was using ( I still love it) but couldn't and just sorta thought it was me. So if your struggling maybe try a new brush or paper or a bit better paint. Have a wonderful night!
exactly!!
THank Ellen! I truly enjoy your videos and your teaching technique! You make painting watercolor approachable and fun!!
Absolutely adorable painting
Lovely thanks!!
Thank you Ellen for sharing ❤ 😊... love all your work & you made a seemingly difficult painting into a beginner painting!! I love how the field came together with all the colors and every hue... love your sound effects... you make me smile! Thanks for sharing 👍 God bless you! A California Gramma ♥️
Thank you so much!
Would love to see a couple of your gouache tutorials too ! ❤️❤️
ahh yes will do some- not many like gouache not sure why?
@@ellencrimitrent I know ! But I really like it 😂👍👍
So utterly expressive. Really enjoyed this. Thank you
Looks like so much fun I'm gonna have to try this one also.
Hi Ellen, well I gave this a try. Still very much a beginner, but I pushed myself!
Wonderful!
So Springy and lovely...I ❤ it!
Thank you! Cheers!
Good morning Ellen , thank you for that nice painting ....I'm learning so much from you .... 💛🧡💜
All I can say is wow!! Thank you so very much for this! You helped in so many ways!!
Simply fabulous! When I create my 1st painting, I definitely will post it here, just to show what a great teacher you are! I know I will not disappoint you, you showed us so very much. You are because I come from the graphite world. I do graphite portraits, and color scares me.
Thank you! ❤️😁
I have absolutely subscribed and have been for years, though I didnt keep up with practicing I have came back to loving it again because of you; and plan to stick with it! Thank you for being you, so inspirational. I am a huge fan!!!
Love this. Is there a video showing all your paint palette colors. I’m ready to add more colors
You are AMAZING! I LOVE watching your videos and you have WONDERFUL ideas! Thank you so much!❤❤❤
Love your videos!
Amazing
Your work is so inspiring. Thank you. ❤
Thank you so much Ellen! the was fun!
Your painting is so beautiful!, I love the impressionist look you gave it. I am just learning how to mix paints (something I don’t find easily to do). Did it take you a long time to become so comfortable with “moving paint around”, you make it look so easy!!. My new year’s goal is to be more comfortable with paint. ❤🎉
This is a beautiful painting ❤
So cool! I love how you make it fun.
I’m a bit late but I really like it. The colors are really pretty.
Besides taping your paper down, do you stretch it first? Love this and will try it. It uses a lot of good techniques. Thank you for helping this beginner!
Very nice
Just love it! Thanks!
So glad!
Lovely.
This is so beautiful 💫
thank you!
Very pretty. Love it! ❤
Another great video! You make it look effortless. Thanks so much💐
Beautiful.
I enjoy watching you paint you make it so easy to do I can draw but paint nope not at all....
Oh awesome!
Thanks!
This was a great tutorial. Thank you so much. I just stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago. I love all your painting tutorials. I think this is the best one I have done yet.
Awesome tutorial
Thanks
This is so lovely! Excited to give this a try. :)
Does it matter that there is a tiny speck on the sky from when you were tapping ? Really beautiful, going to have go ! X
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Ellen, thanks for sharing this. A lovely tutorial - so relaxing. I was wondering if you could also explain maybe in another tutorial how you compose your paintings? IT would be great to be able to make a painting without having to copy always :)
So love your work Ellen, but being full time caregiver to my disabled son I have little time to watch many of them. Any chance of making some shorter ones or time lapse? You are always an inspiration to me!
OMG I love this! Hi Ellen, could you do this with a painting of a waterfall?
Oooooo! Fun!
Hey there pretty lady. I love this landscape looks very easy to do and I must try it! I as well aren’t able to sign up for your Patreon. I’ve tried several times. Thanks for sharing this beautiful scape 😊🎨💜
not sure why others seem to have no issues what is it your getting?? I will contact patreon? did you hit this link? www.patreon.com/ellencrimitrent
@@ellencrimitrent it's stating myself email is already used for a patreon acct . I sent them a email about it.
this was fun!! loved this. wondered if you could do a tutorial sometime on leaves! trying to get differnt angles is super hard?
QUESTION: Can this Princeton Velvet Touch Round 8 brush be used to replace Silver Black Velvet Round 8 brush to make fine lines and (basically be used as an all-rounder brush) as Silver Balck Velvet is 3 times more expensive than Princeton Velelt Touch? Thanks - your art work is amazing as always!
Have you done any videos using wax crayons for color with resistance? I think I will have some fun with some multimedia experiments!
🖍🖌🖍🖌🖍🖌🖍🖌🖍🖌
FUN! FUN! FUN!
🖌🖍🖌🖍🖌🖍🖌🖍🖌🖍
Not yet!
Hi, I have done a few of your tutorials---I am wondering if you list the pallette colors anywhere so I don't have to keep rewinding it to hear what your list of colors (paints) is?
❤
😍
Unable to sign up for your patreon? Can you let me know if it is working? thx u!
huh? seems odd? did you click the link?
@@ellencrimitrent yes, I put in all my info and my CC info and this circle just kept going around and around. I tried twice
Sorry, please forgive me as I know I have blown up your comment section. I think I may do it on every video of yours that I watch. LOL Thank you!
No problem 😊
But...but...how do you know where to put all the little tap taps and changing the colors. That, I imagine would take (for me), alot of time spent practicing and playing and making 'real' messes before I actually played around enough to make something look this spectacular!
Is that still the 8 long round?
yes
HI Ellen, I joined your patreon yesterday and it’s my first time to do that. Can you tell me. How to access the templates and other things I should have access to. So sorry to ask on here, I was not sure how to find to write to you another way. Thank you
Cathi
Ellen, note that when you point to the upper right hand corner of the screen, your Patreon link does NOT show up!
