What a privilege it is to share this message with the St. Andrew's Streetsville church family on the last Sunday morning of 2024, December 29, 2024. Mary and Joseph are horrified when they discover that the 12-year-old Jesus is not with the caravan party as they return to Nazareth from Jerusalem after the Passover Festival. After searching for him for 3 days in Jerusalem, they find Jesus in the Jerusalem temple courts. He is engaged in discussion with the teachers of the temple. His parents are surprised at his answer when they ask him he has teated them like this. ‘Why were you searching for me?’ he asked. ‘Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?’ (Luke 2:49 NIV)
