nice comparison tho that can only happen in bars or the occasional beggar that turns into a Daedra later where you can fight barehanded. If you go to a bandit camp and fight the leader he wont just throw away his sword just because you throw your sword
that would be epic, especially if it was selectively implemented, so that only enemies that have some honor code/morals would do that, and enemies with particularly strong ethics would refuse to combat at all if you are obviously unfit for battle.
The closest I saw to honor was the elites in halo where they sometimes wait for you to react to your situation,when 1v1 sometimes when I damage them and they do a damaged animation I wait for them to end the animation so they ould fight me again,honor no?
@@stevensanna3651 well stomach pain is a heavy De-buff, and so is needing to use the bathroom too xD - might lose some HP in the process of ignoring or while trying to heal past that point.

I was an extra in LotR and during the post-battle party scene at Helm's Deep, we had to pretend to be drunk. We spent all day filming it. It is really, really tiring work pretending to be drunk.

Some games when you get drunk it will cause your controller to vibrate and it makes your character walk like they are drunk along with the blurry vision for 10 seconds.

Your vision was blurred and even though you pressed the button to go straight ahead you would actually be weaving back and forth. It was fun to do races across the tree city of Kelethin while completely drunk where one wrong step would result in a drop to you death a hundred feet below. Fun times.

In Everquest, if anyone else is still alive that remembers that, alcohol gave a small buff to something (hp? it's been decades), but it did make you drunk. It started with slurring your words. Say something and your text gets drunkified. Then the character started moving a bit on it's own. Staggering or something, not really sure, but it could make going places difficult. If you kept drinking, the character would go on drunk pilot. Think autopilot by a random idiot that won't give back control. Of course by this time you were probably to the blackout stage as well, where your screen goes totally black and you have no idea what's going on. . One bard got so drunk he somehow ended up on part of the chapel roof, despite there being NO way to get there! He then abused his "new position" (hehe) and started using his damage song on the guards down below. They couldn't touch him, but he killed a ton of them before he got bored. Not long after that the guards were changed to teleport to anyone they couldn't reach, either due to location, pathing, or distance. Kind of screwed up running from the guards for the underworld types and "enemy races" that had to go through that city. :(
In some games there are limits how many health potion you can have on you. Every different type of potion has a certain limit. Probably why they have were also drinking so many different alcohol bottles too.

I like how in Kingdom Come: Deliverance that all potions were basically alcohol or some other type of drug; including the item you consumed to save your game. So excessively healing yourself or save scumming made your character virtually impossible to control. Also how time cycles and stealth played into the game it wasn't feasible to just wait for your drunkenness to pass.

The funny part is that most potions back in medieval times were actually just alcohol. Sometimes I like imagine drinking like 20 health potions and actually just being like totally wasted
A lot of tonics nowadays contain alcohol... even cough syrup :P Alcohol is the best substance to extract elements from stuff, especially from plants. Like, 3/4 of all herbal extracts are made with alcohol as a base.
Purely a guess, there was some kind of ink used to give a dark colour to whatever liquid had been in there for a *different* scene, and it had settled to the bottom. So, someone had tipped them out so they could swig from them here, but didn't rinse them thoroughly.
This reminds me of Everquest, when you would get so drunk it was virtually impossible to play and you couldn't even type to people because it would randomize all your letters.
Gotta respect the orcs for agreeing to a fist only fight after alan lost his sword.

I thought that getting drunk only results in your vision going blurry for 10 seconds.

In WoW, mob-level appeared lower than ist acutally was when drunk. Not sure if that’s still the case today. ^^

Alcohol is the best substance to extract elements from stuff, especially from plants. Like, 3/4 of all herbal extracts are made with alcohol as a base.

Purely a guess, there was some kind of ink used to give a dark colour to whatever liquid had been in there for a *different* scene, and it had settled to the bottom. So, someone had tipped them out so they could swig from them here, but didn't rinse them thoroughly.
You know PCs are screwed when the enemies don't even bother to use their weapons against them.

This reminds me of Everquest, when you would get so drunk it was virtually impossible to play and you couldn't even type to people because it would randomize all your letters.
