I probably a little luckier (luckier¿) than the average new driver as my wife has either made the same or better dough than me as I’ve usually just worked for myself so I won’t be THE only income supporting the household…..and from what I’m seeing is that stress can basically ruin a driver’s hopes and aspirations…
Hazmat used to pay double the rate back in the day. Everyone dropped the hazmat in the 90's because it quit paying. The flatbed bit. I have arthritis at 55 tarps are heavy. It gets hot and nasty. But man I sleep good at night and in better shape than 99 pct of young drivers on the road today. Payed to workout. I know guys in the late 60's and early 70's still flatbeddin. But I never have to throw tarps high. If it's a load of lumber guys will lift tarps with forklifts. If they don't I tell them to unload the load while I start calling broker to pass on to the butt heads boss why I just refused the load. Works like a charm they suddenly want to lift tarps. Or the 💩 doesn't leave the property.
Just started non-cdl hotshot. Was in a position to pay cash for equipment so hoping if i can make enough in a crappy trucking economy i can do well when it turns around. Its sad that people let politics divide them. I am a firm believer that we all need to just have a beer together more often. Yup, beer is the best solution! Underlying profit attributable to shareholders came in at $1.3 billion, up from $1.2 billion during the same quarter last year. Revenues rose 13.2% year-on-year to $14.2 billion, just ahead of a forecast of $14.1 billion. Revenues from non-alcoholic beers were up by 30% in the quarter. The firm also said sales growth in its core beer portfolio was strong outside of the U.S., its biggest market, boosted by the return of consumer demand in China and continued growth in India. The death of Budweiser is overblown and I will leave it at that as don't wanna get political.

By the way that guy that hid his placards and snuck through the Eisenhower tunnel, he pled guilty to a felony. He will never be able to haul hazmat ever again. He also got a 2-year prison sentence so most likely his CDL is going to be completely revoked.
The Pandemic put us in a much better place financially. We refinanced our house at a ridiculous low rate after only having it a year in California. It too has increased in value but the problem of where to go if we sold is a real thing.
I had sleep paralysis when I lived by my self and drank a lot , I also had some crazy lucid dreams where i would able to control and explore my dream. These days, i got a partner and we live in a different location. I havent had any lucid dreams or paralysis here. tbh i miss those drunken nights with weird dreams and sleep paralysis lol And if you have sleep paralysis again, wiggle your toes, it's like a cold start for your brain

@@samfonov of course not but we know the paid miles don't always match up with the actual miles and sometimes I travel a little out of the way to go to certain places for the night.
@@ThisguytrucksV2.0 10-4 on some case by case things carrier will look at my mileage reeding on eld (delivery) 95% of what i have done is drop and hook, but case by case delivery's and pickups get requested at times by dispatchers so with some of those they check odometer on logs to add some additional miles
It makes perfect sense. My very brown wife and children who are women value their freedom. Maybe look up some information on the before you jump to conclusions.

People can take this as they will but red many people that lives in red states in the south east thinks that I need a passport because I said I lived in New Mexico. Had some dum dum actually spread a rumor I am an illegal when he found out I lived in New Mexico. I had to explain to him that I lived in New Mexico and was not born in New Mexico and even if I was born in New Mexico it would still be a US Citizen as New Mexico is A STATE.
