- Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, Kenny Anroff, and Rai Thistlethwayte performed “There’s Only One Way to Rock” in St. Louis, Missouri USA on August 31, 2024 during the last U.S. concert of “The Best of All Worlds” tour.
What an incredible show last night! Sammy, Michael, Satriani and drummer Kenny Aronoff blew the roof off Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre! Great set list too!!!

The only thing I don’t like about your last name is that it reminds me of Michigan… I would have to say also that I’ve never had the opportunity of seeing Sammy Hagar in concert… The only form that I would’ve ever wanted to see him perform and was definitely Van Halen… I think his form to the band to be incredible… his babies poundcake can be found in Ponce Puerto Rico, and last, but not least… I do not support this message use of any broadcast arts or anything like that because it’s against my contractual beliefs as a musician myself.

@@jq324 DLR Stands for David Lee Roth, he was the original singer for Van Halen and on average sold way more albums then Sammy Hagar Era Van Halen. Two original VH albums, VH1 and 1984 outsold all of Hagars VH albums combined . They both went Diamond Status. like "Diamond David Lee Roth"

We flew from Louisville, KY to Chicago to see them at Tinley Park, IL on 8/3. It was an awesome show as well.

Sammy Hagar has not missed a beat! He and this band put on THE most amazing show in Noblesville Indiana. Even with a severe weather delay, they came back rocking even harder! ( I didn't think that was possible) a BIG thank you to Sammy and Michael for bringing this Van Hagar tour to Indiana. Spectacular🎉❤😎⚡️🎸🥁🎵🎶THERES ONLY ONE WAY TO ROCK! 🤘🏼

For the drummers in the room. I believe that's still Jason's DW kit, but with Tama resonate heads on the kicks. I was thinking at first how Tama put a kit together so fast for Kenny. What are your thoughts?

Kenny is on a very short list of guys that could step in with a 24 hour notice and nail the gig. Gregg Bissonette would be the only other guy I can think of off the top of my head that could do that. Sure if there were charts for the gig many great readers could do it but there’s no charts for this gig. You know Kenny was taking notes and doing his homework for those 24 hours up to the gig.

Did Kenny keep Jason's kit and just replace the Bonzo skins on the 3 bass drums with generic ones? I can't imagine the logistics of replacing a kit overnight so I'm guessing that's what he did? Even more impressive to not only learn the set list but on someone else's custom rig!!

@@psugrowler1 It has the 3 bass drums like Jason was using which is why I was curious - you don't see that often.
I don't know which would be more impressive - the drummer adjusting to someone else's kit while learning the set list in 24 hours, or handling the logistics of transporting a kit that quickly and re-doing all the stage build / tear-down, microphones, mixing levels, etc., also while the guy is learning the set list.
I know Kenny is like the consummate pro and he's played with everyone, but it's still impressive either path.
