Took my 3rd gen dodge 3500 with the Aisen in for a motor swap, had a trans fluid leak i couldn’t pin down until eventually I ended up with a hole in bell housing….. took back they refused tho honor my warrantee. I’ve had the trucks backs for a couple months now and I’ve noticed the same thing happening again…. The dipstick had broke last time and the guy replaced it with the wrong dipstick, it’s not registering any fluid at all but my edge monitor should trans temp staying under 150 most of the time (unloaded)…. Is this my issue?
if you replaced the Engine and didn't put both dial pins in, then this can cause your front seal to leak because it wears the bushing on the front of the converter. we have a video that explains this, just a thought Hope this helps you
I have a transmission leak between the engine and transmission on a 2015 dodge crew caravan. i got a new oil pump installed however it still leaks from that area. Could it be the torque converter? because when accelerating the vehicle, more oil comes out faster
I have the same problem in my 2004 F250 4 x 4 5.4 L, engine was replaced by a shade tree mechanic eight or nine months ago, he replaced the torque converter seal at that time, my suspicion he left out one or both of those pins 😮
Getting ready to replace the front shaft, or torque converter seal on my 96 Camry V6, what brand of seal do you recommend I get, it's the A 541 E transmission, any info would be appreciated
I have a 2000 explorer. It slips with RMP raising and change at times. It has a good take off and 1 to 2. the engine code is po720 which I changed. what else could I check or could I try Lucas transmission?
What happens if I fill only 6 quarts (school bus requires 17 quarts), and go D, R twice for 6.5ft ? Does that make front pump seal (or bush) burns out and starts leaking fluid a few weeks later ?
No, if you ran it for a long period of time with only 6 quarts of fluid it could have gotten the seal hot but I do not think that this caused your issue.
I am troubleshooting a front seal leak problem on a aisin 6F21WA after engine rebuild. this video addresses EXACTLY my problem. I am not sure I missed the dowel pins, or the pump bushing itself has worn after 160k miles that the neck of the tc is no longer CONCENTRIC (after loosening and retightening of the 6 tc bolts) to the seal, therefore rubbing it, and leaks at high engine rpm. Any easy way to replace that pump bushing without taking that pump out?
I installed a new transmission and as we where bolting it down there was a load pop noise and it started dumping oil out the bell housing be hind the flywheel
Perfect video. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the info
Awesomeness

Would overfilling a transmission cause the seal to leak?
Thanks for the tips

yes it could be the converter or it could be a seal

Right now mine is doping oil as I put it in it goes out trough the bell housing where the bell housing cover goes, (Manual transmission)

It’s a wrap. You broke the front pump
I have a leak right between the engine and transmission. Im guessing its the seal because its the original trans, no swap
sounds like it
What is that seal called on a C6 transmission?
Name video dial pin.
