    I wish you good luck. I had stomach cancer three and half years ago. So I too must stop thinking too much: travels, sport, internet, alcohol sometimes (yes, sorry 🙂), sex...to feel alive, to feel normal.

    thanks Dear Martin, you are absolutely right when you talk about water. I learned to swim in winter and autumn in the sea, only with a neoprene cap on my head. Sometimes it is hard due to the sudden change in temperature in the body. But in my life, swimming in the sea has become like a kind of reset of all those impressions, associations, imagination, emotional states that I cannot let go of at least a little and that generate useless tension, in the psyche, in the body, in the feeling. It is clear that inner work and 30 minutes of silence sitting calmly also helps. But swimming in the sea seems to recreate a balance or something similar. Because when I leave the sea, it seems that in part, something in me starts again but more renewed, on all levels. Intellectual, physical, emotional.

    You are amazing! 11 years with pancreatic cancer!
    I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer w bone Mets in 2013,
    12 1/2 years! It switched from her 2 - to slightly her 2 +. I have been on a new treatment for over a year now.
    I am so grateful because I never expected to be here.
    Best of luck to you❤️

    Your comments about whether your thoughts are useful to you is very true. When I have negative thoughts, I’ve learned to ask myself whether the scenario I’ve conjured is real and most of the time, it’s worrying about something that never pans out. Wasted energy. That you’ve survived eleven years with pancreatic cancer is amazing. I hope you have many more.

    Wishing you all the best with the scan ♥ For me it is a 45 min walk in my neighbourhood, good music playlist and taking in all the sad, happy and encouraging emotions that I will get from it. It works most of the times...

    Have you ever looked into a flotation tank? I've done between 80 and 100 floats, 4.5 to 6.5 hours each. The mind is incredible. Once you silence everything else to where you can hear what's going on in your body, you'll be absolutely surprised what you're buying will do. I've heard my eyelids touching and it was loud like God's velcro touching and pulling apart. Extremely loud. I couldn't figure out what it was at first. I thought well I'm not doing anything but blinking. That's exactly what it was, to hear your own blink is amazing. I really think you would like it. Water. Everything that is, contains water.

    What about liver ablation (afterloading)? I had that a few weeks ago and it worked well. Regarding the stories: I know the stories I tell myself are not always helpful but sometimes I block all thoughts (stories) regarding my situation and that is not always helpful either. Then I feel down or heavy in myself I know I am blocking BECAUSE I don't want it to be true. I want my story to be: 'Wow.. I did it. I won. It's something of a miracle but I AM going to be ok.' and not 'She lost the battle...blah blah, usual things said, courage, blah blah blah'.
    I like what you said about water. I am going on a swimming holiday to Greece where I plan to basically just swim every single day.

    Im so glad and proud that you are still making the best of the situation and sharing it with us. I’m undergoing a quite similar situation which turned worst after my last scan and colonoscopy . I have a tactic : when I get negative thought 💭 I tell my coconut 🥥- it’s only a thought that wants to protect you. I suddenly divide myself into two Césars (the patient and the healer) and I dialogue inside of me, though it’s not easy when one is having pain and side effects of the therapies ... thanks Martin for letting us know that we are not alone !

    The blood test was perfect.
    But the oncologist advised for scan.
    God gave this verse ", Blotting out the handwriting of the ordinances that was against us which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way nailing it to his cross;
    And having spoiled principalities and powers he made a show of them openly triumphing over them in it.

I search and search for something that will help him live longer but it is getting out of control for me and I need to work on limiting my time spent searching. I know exactly what you’re talking about! I’m experiencing that with my husband and he told me to don’t forget to be a wife. But you’re right. It’s hard when you’re also the main caretaker. How do you be your regular role without addressing the issue at hand! It’s been a challenge. I will say I’ve had to step back and stop trying to play God. It only drives you crazy! Sometimes you have to let things be and play out how it will for the moment. And sometimes you have to act. It’s the balancing of this that’s the challenge.
