*I had one of these before and it lasted many years and I used it a lot. It blends **MyBest.Kitchen** chops ,grates. Does most anything you would want to use it for. A lot of bang for your buck. A litlle loud however it so fast it is not bothersome.*
I have a Ninja that I bought new on ebay for $80. It is going strong after four years of medium to heavy use. The lid has a release button on the lid and is super easy to open, but yes, you need to click it. The blade is not scary as there is a good four inches of room to hold it and all you have to do to clean, is run it under water. You can fill it with hot soapy water and soak it with the blade if you wish. I have never cut myself. I've never used a Vitamin, but for the money the Ninja is wonderful.
The NINJA ULTIMA is AWESOME. I kept getting the Montel Williams blender, they had to replace it at least once a year, I used it for over 3 years. When they stopped production I got the Ninja Ultima. I got it at Wal Mart for around $125 dollars. So far it has outlasted my Montel Blender which isn't saying much, but I have had it for over two years, I use it daily and have had no problems. i eat almost all my food prep'd in this blender and it works like a champion.
I just got the Ninja Ultima from Amazon, and it came with 3 small cups that can be blended by themselves without needing the large cup. It was on sale for $199. Using just the single blending cup is really convenient,
It was nice to see a comparison from somebody not trying to sell the blenders. My parents have both a vitamix and a ninja and we found the same thing... the ninja is almost at par with the vitamix. They purchased the cheaper model of the ninja for under 100 and it works great. I totally agree with your assessment. If you're looking for a blender you will never have to replace the vitamix is a good way to go.... if you are on a budget or don't use a blender more than a couple times a month for things like ice caps and mashing fruits for jams then a ninja is the better option.
Regarding the Ninja.. you needed to use the shorter double blade to make the nut butter, Duh! I have owned both and hands down I love my Ninja. I have the food processor and all the accessories for my Ninja (that is 9 years old, btw) and it works just as well as the first day I used it. My son uses my Ninja everyday for smoothies. And if you want to make homemade Mayo.. trust me that Vitamix cannot do it as well as the Ninja. With Vitamix you will end up with runny mayo. Just like Vitamix, Ninja makes different models. I own the 200 dollar version and it is well worth the $.
You were having a hard time opening it, cause you forgot to push the release button on top... So I think that review on opening it is irrelevant... but I liked your review!
I got a certified refurbished Vitamix from their website. It’s just like new and I paid less than $300! It’s the best way to get a great blender on a budget.
Just returning my brand new ninja blender I only made 4-5 blended drinks and it does such a lousy job, I will never buy another again. I will be happy to put the return money on a Vita Mix mine lasted 14 years best blender ever!!
Happen to live just 15 miles from the main HQ here in the Cleveland area, and have visited the Vita-Mix factory on their open house holiday events, and love how they work, but couldn't justify spending $400 - $600 on one. Happen to own a Ninja BL660 from Newegg, but at the same time, I do hold the Vita-Mix 5200 close to my heart in terms of what I aspire to have one day.
Thank you so much for your review and for others comments. This will be my first go around with a blender (not a kitchen girl) and I think the Ninja will be fine for a good start.
My wife is Filipino and she wants to go back and open a small eatery come sara sara store (general store)so making things to sell and eat would you recommend the Vitamix pro for such a thing
Also regarding the cancerous substance, that bugged me so I called Europro. The lead that is being referenced to is only located on the inside of the power cord as an insulator. That's it. Nowhere will it touch what you put into the blender.
I've used the Ninja daily for quite some time and finally upgraded to the Vitamix... My green smoothies are in another league (Ninja really only makes a green liquid salad) but the most impressive thing were the seeds on strawberries and raspberries. The Vitamix just obliterates them. I'm not even sure how it's possible but it does.
+P Saenz Most half decent blenders can make carrot juice. The Ninja's are not good blenders. Either get something cheaper that works better, like a 1400W Wilfa, or a more expensive Vitamix 7500 or 750 Pro. The Blendtec is not worth it either, compared to the Vitamix.
i got a refurbished vitamix ascent 2500 for 349, why buy a niinja for 259 ? Ninja baldes would go blunt in a few months, while blade wear / tear doesnt matter to Vitamix
I guess you get what you pay for. I was a ninja fan but after thinking about it the price of the vitamix doesn't seem so bad since it will most likely last till I'm dead, lol. The only thing I wished the vitamix had is the single serve and the cups without having to buy the other model.

jan8919 I own two Vitamix machines; they are both the older two-speed models with the stainless steel containers. They are eachover twenty years old and still working well.

AriesWarlock13 blending with Henry talked me into buying one, he says ge does not work for them but has a deal worked out according to one of his videos where he gets a commission and you get free shipping by using his link. I sat on fence for over a year watching the price shaaking my head they were just to pricey ( That coming from a Harley owner LOL) finally my daughter and wife convinced me to buy this crazy high priced smoothie maker and its unbelievable how well it works and is built. Anyway the price goes down 3 to 4 times per year i saw and before Christmas I pooled the trigger and its an awesome machine. So watch vitamix referb price on their site then go through an affiliate like Hennry and get free shipping. Hope that helps. Don
Have vitamix, brother has ninja. He is on his second one in about 4 years. Vitamix will last much longer and even if it doesnt, can't beat the warranty.Vitamix still outperforms ninja overall. Ninja is pita to clean that blade. Get a refurbished Vitamix for under 300 and last blender you will probably ever buy.
Thanks for this review. I was saving for a vitamix but, an emergency resulted in my savings being depleted. The Ultima is 139 here in Ohio (the 3 speed variation) and now I Won't feel like I've wasted money for getting it when the Vitamix is (unfortunately) out of my price range right now. It may not be quite as good but it's certainly a very good blender. :)
Ninja blades would be blunt as rock in a few months of rigorous use. Vitamix would be the same. I used to have a cheaper ninja before moving over to vitamix ascent 2500. Ninja is a mess, especially with those sharp blades and lack of tamper. Although, my criticism of ninja is relative to Vitamix. Blender market is a few of those product markets, where you actually get what you pay for, unlike iphones, cars and stuff, having decreasing marginal returns. Vitamix is worth 3x more, for daily users. Would be interesting to see a review after 1 year of use :P
I bought a Ninja for the meantime but if it fails and I feel my lifestyle needs it I will splurge on a vitamix. I just want to make smoothies and etc. I am not a vegetarian so I don't need to utilize it to supplement vegan foods like butter or cheese or a raw diet so I will stick with the Ninja. I think the cult like following is odd and it depends on your lifestyle if you choose to spend 709 to 1000 on a blender. Will you use it occasionally or every day? This should be the determining factor.
If you're going to grind up meat, just buy a separate cheap blender unless you plan to clean extremely thoroughly before you use it for anything else. Even if you did, I bet it still smells like raw chicken. That's salmonella poisoning waiting to happen.
Mechanical Spencer so do your apples. Arsinic in the seeds that touch the meat of the apple, I will take lead in the cord I touch once a yearish. You gonna eat the apples? Land of the brave, just spit the seeds out.
I see it in eBay but I can't find any reviews besides the 4 or so on the eBay website. Hopefully the company will put more comprehensive demos on TH-cam aside from the single one they have. Their specs are out of this world and they look incredible on paper but that doesn't always mean they're as good as they say they are.

SAME😂😂😂😂
Great video but that “doohickey/plunger” is actually a tamper that you are supposed to use for harder blends such as ice cream or peanut butter
Costco currently has the BlendTec for for $249.
which one would better destroy an IRS hard disk?
I have both blenders. My Ninja has a crack in the pitcher it in less than a year and has cut myself on a few occasions.
Jason Johnson omg its say on blend whit henry

I find that the "Berry" test is the best final test. Small seeded berries like Blackberries are the hardest to get all the seeds pulverized.

Hi Jaden! I swear the lid on the Ninja is made for 6'5" people! I have to use all my strength to rip it off. Great review and side by side!
I just got one question, does the ninja make soup ready to go?
No. You can't heat things in the ninja. It doesn't have the venting to release the steam. You have to cook things separately after blending
Fucking lazy ass, go cook that up you're self man come on now
***** *yourself
Reggie Peters Thanks
***** Thanks
The ninja creates smooth snow
Was I the only one that found grounding chicken meat (or any meat!) in a blender disgusting?!
Nah. This is actually exciting to me because I can save a lot of time chopping chicken when I cook in my cast iron.
I'd rather grind my own meat than a butcher, as lots of times disgusting things are added to your chicken , if grinded in the butchers.
