    OMG I am so grateful that I don’t have to use this primitive method for servicing the grease traps that I am responsible for! I built a device that allows me to vacuum everything into a recycling tank. It just takes a few minutes, and all I have to clean is the hose.
    This video is well done, but this is not best practice - and it just might be worst practice!

    Question that I hope I get a response for: Why did you use the colander to separate solid waste but then dump solid waste from the bottom of the trap into the very bucket you attempted to keep it from? I'm probably going to do exactly this, anyhow... I just want to know why I'm doing it because it seems like you made your effort obsolete.

    why not use a vacuum to get the grease into a container instead of painfully scooping it out for hours end.

    how do you eliminate the odours from grease trap and whats the best way to clean out the filter when there's still bits of food waste in it that is hard to get rid of.

    That trap was already pretty clean..all the ones i saw had.hard choppable grease in them..and it was monthly..

    How often does a standalone grease trap like that needs to be cleaned?

      Jeremy Ho it depends how much crud goes into it! No crud = no cleaning

      We clean most on a monthly basis. We do 400+ traps a month.

    I had to clean it everyday since I work in the kitchen and guys I wish I know some method to clean it faster😩 and Im responsible to clean and take care of it alone 😢

    Get a Grease Guardian Automatic Grease Removal Device and you will never have to clean your grease trap like this again!

      Korde they trap grease from going to the septic system and it’s tequired in all restaurants

      +Jamie Pentz Hi, There are several methods of carrying out cleans on these components. Appreciate any further input. Wet Vacuums are also a expense worth their weight in gold.

    We charge about $200-350 PER service to do one of these traps... I cannot imagine how horrendous this must be to the average person who would have to do this for the first time lol

      Good grief. We charge only 100 to 150. We use a provac or truck and can be done in around 10 minutes

      Mate, that's only a gce35 , just get 2 wet dry vacs and you can do one anywhere, easily and fast
