"VOICE PSA # 5 - Love Libya SMS" - Arabic (TRT:

This Public Service Announcement (PSA), created by organizations from Misrata, Tripoli and Sebha, aired on national television stations, including Rasmya, Watanya and Libya Awalan, encouraging citizens to vote in historic elections on 7/7/2012.
BACKGROUND
The PSA was produced during a six-week video training workshop, held June 24th to August 4th in Tripoli, Libya, as part of a project entitled, Voter Ownership and Increasing Civic Participation (VOICE), implemented by Creative Associates International and media training partners, Barefoot Workshops, with funding from the US- Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).
Participants in the training included: Libyan Scouts & Girl Guides, Sebha Youth Forum, The Libyan Organization for Administration and Human Capacity Development and The Free Generation Movement.
Together the groups produced eleven PSAs on topics including electoral education, voter participation and rule of law, and two short docu-dramas about the new constitution and mine risk education.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
"LOVE LIBYA SMS" is among the first citizen-produced PSAs to air on television in Libya since the end of the end the former government.
A text message prompt has been added to the end of the video to determine the effectiveness and relevance of the message to the public.

The PSA may be distributed by broadcasters and the public "rights-free".
