The slow-mo ability is an implant in the retail, it takes the place of your hacking deck. And weirdly enough in the Maelstrom mission, in my playthrough, they did use the spotlight, and Jackie had line like "They try to spook us" or something like that.
in the reveal trailer they did say it is kerenzikov, and in the game it is also called kerenzikov and that is a nervous system implant, there are a few other slowmotion implants that take place in your cyberdeck too though

I do love that generally the quality of things like textures has overall seemed to improve but I quite liked the sort of slightly washed out look on many surfaces which has been replaced with what feels like an overuse of oversaturation instead. The game world itself also feels a lot less 'alive' to me than the reveal, the scanning seemed a little better before the NPC's a little more like real people, and that hacking system would have been stellar for immersion instead of the quite generic system that exists but overall it feels like a real achievement from what I have seen, if they can fix the problems it could really shape up to be memorable.
One thing from the demo. When T-Bug and Meredith are on the phone - it's a live scene. You can see them, the background and objects. Whereas in the game it's just a render of the person your talking to
In a lot of games, characters on Monitors or UI Characters are often Live rendered from a different camera. It would not suprise me if in the final game they had the character beeing rendered out of bounds and Pasted on the screen. But it could also be a video file to save some ressources, i don't know for sure of course.
18:32 that scripted action Jackie does in the demo is actually in the game... But it's not performed by the same character, nor is it in the same quest. I found this same action in one of the Cyberpsycho side gigs where the psycho has a pretty similar mech suit like Royce's' and another guy flips a car to take cover from the psycho's gunfire. Cool little detail but implemented completely differently in the retail version.
I put 112 hrs on my first playthrough on PC and I loved every second of it. I did experience some janky bugs but nothing major (game never crashed, I was not locked out of game progress). I really hope more people give it a chance again once CDPR fixes performance issues on old consoles and see it for the fantastic game it truly is.

@Supreme Gentleman Yep I noticed that too. The AI is absolutely fucked. The way they react, the positions in which they find cover and the worst of it is they do not work in sync AT ALL. Everybody is on alert if you don't headshot kill the enemy in stealth even if you kill him in two shots without him even possibly being able to relay a message before he dies but you can still pick them off one by one with headshots despite them being 3 feet from eachother and on high alert because they don't act organically. As for choices in CP77, your decisions affect the outcome in Clair's quest, your choices affect the outcome in Judy's quest, your choices affect the outcome of your part in Joshua's quest, your choices affect the outcome in The pickup quest, that'll even later will affect how you approach the "A like Supreme" quest, your choices affect whether Takemura lives or dies, and whether he's gonna join you in The Devil ending or not, your choices decides the fate of the Voodoo Boys. your decision can affect all the endings available, you can just have one ending available based on your choices, even the example you've mentioned of the ending, that still is an outcome changing choice, a character that dies because of your choice is an outcome that has changed based on your choices, what else do you want, the entire world changes? then it won't be a cyberpunk story, lol. Please go play some classic table top RPGs to know what RPGs are really about, the choices system became popular just recently and it's not a defining factor in the genre. Almost 2 years late, but personally I think overall the version we got on release obviously looks and sounds far better yet there are certain details in the reveal that I wish made it into the final build. At the start of the hallway scene when T Bug calls for example. In the reveal you can clearly see her laying down in her netrunning chair and she appears to be fully animated. That's a very nice touch considering that phone calls in the final build, when you can see an animated head that is, it's pretty generic instead of being contextually appropriate.
nearly 1 year after your own comment, but even the part of looking and sounding better is dubious to me, even now. Yes, it is graphically better, but like you said, those little details go a LONG way to improve the experience's look and feel.

However it's important to note that CDPR is going for a semi-realistic style, not going for absolute realism as seen in the Witcher 3 so i'd say that while the Lighting is in fact lacking, i'd have to disagree that the new retextured faces is worse than the reveal.
@@Stockinzs may be they need proper optimisation for the game
@@josephjackman3687 some of these are usually bigger nit picks than cancel culture. Id say dex is probably the only one that makes sense but the environment is different
The maelstrom guy did flash spot light on me during my playthrough
Looks like the event area needs to be fixed to trigger everytime the script ... I have rn my second run and at the first run it didn`t triggered, but on the second run it did
I didnt even notice, was too busy, keeping an eye on potential loot..
@@SagaciousNihilist You would've noticed, because V holds her hand up to block the overbearing spotlight.
Unless that part of the script has been removed. Didn't happen for me.
For me I had the dialogue saying they were trying to intimidate but I didn't see anything. I was wondering what they meant with that line.
Me too
11:20 Tell that to V's bald shadow lol.
"population density"
People who use ps4 and xbox one"
"Go back to sleep samurai";we got a city to render
haha
Johnny just closes your eyes
Holy sh- thank you so much for this video dude I’ve been waiting for this since cyberpunk came out.
The amount of times I thought I was in a cutscene while playing this game is just astounding... man does it look phenomenal
tbh most of the gameplay makes me wish it _was_ just a cutscene... would be better as a CGI anime.
@@TheDrewker You might want to reword that last part. Have you seen a CGI anime? Look no further than the Blade Runner anime to see why.
15:47 They added that detail back in patch 1.6
LOL is this the 1st AAA game where Retails is better and NOT downgraded than Reveal ? I'm impressed.
No, check out Doom 2016
red dead redemption 2
9:41 they made it look more like blade runner, when deckerd goes to buy food at a stall
Agree
Same thought. There are so many Blade Runner queues throughout the game. The ambient city sounds, River Ward who works for the NCPD, and “Joy” Toys just to name a few.
finally a game that had a visual upgrade instead of a downgrade - its just a pitty that its still 'broken'. hope they fix it asap because it really deserves it.
For forgot the most important comparison, it actually ran when they showed it!
I feel like the blurring on the reveal trailer is from video compression, they also used a different focal length for the player camera.
I'm so early, I can't even pretend I've watched the entire video yet.
I mean in that first mission, it starts with a 3rd person view cutscene showing off V. That was also removed from the game, right?
It turns out that this whole reveal was faked. It was all scripted. Nobody was playing the game. It was all a cutscene within the game. They didn’t have more than what you saw.
They said in the start of that demo that it's a work in progress and things are subject to change.
@@Denders-NL How it was faked when it's literally in the game and you play through it in the beginning. Also, have you even watched the video?
Cyberanthem 76
@@discoduck3785 lol, keep telling yourself that, maybe you'll believe it.
The retail version is just all teal and yellow basically. Everything has a blue/green tint to it. Reveal version had much more natural colors.
The graphics are quite nice and all, but I'm still disappointed that hacking got cut 17:38
If it was a hardcoded scene it would be fine but imagine doing that every time you play, every time you fight, the current ping mechanic is better as a gameplay mechanic.
@@rickycool6083 I was firstly disappointed too and realized that this is really easier path, yet though they should have had left this here when you are hacking to the subnet for the first time, being in local subnet or whole districts subnet. Much more immersive in my opinion.
@@Corpsehider Would have prefered the muffled gun shot in that cooler on that scavenger. Now its just neck breaking every person in stealth.
Well, you can say a lot about this game. But Sound Design is on point.
I've been looking forward to this
15:45 - I don't know if it's a random thing but he actually blinded me there in my playthrough.
UBISOFT GRAPHIC DESIGNERS HAS LEFT THE CHAT..😂
@@seahawkd5203 Their CPU recommendations are even worse. Anyone on a 4 core CPU (most of the folks on Steam) is going to have a bad time in this game.
Ubisoft was amazing back in the day
Atleast ubisoft can actually make functional AI and make the core gameplay mechanics actually fun...
joshua McIlvenny yeah Cos watchdogs legion was fun
@@seahawkd5203 I don’t understand why are you advising a 1000 series bro ,2000 series and 3000 series are out and you are still buying a 1000 series ? I know that 3000 series are out of stock but there is still stock in 2000 series
Cant wait to play the fixed version
CDPR did an amazing job with the lighting
not so much the AI.
@@politicalprophecyuk They will fix the AI, don't worry.
@@АлександърТренчев-э2я sometimes the characters move around weird or lag and it looks really weird but the game is really fun
That scene with Meredith where you go alone in retail vs with Jackie in the demo, I actually quite liked the retail version, where you have been given the option of faking it. It adds a lot of tension toy our choices.
The curtain blowing on the right when they land at 19:30 doesn’t move in the retail version
The E3 dialogue also sounds way better
It's DRM free on Steam as well. I go to the install folder, run the .exe and it loads straight into the game. No CDPR's mini launcher, no Steam (doesn't show you playing it on Steam either). It runs by itself.. It's DRM free no matter where you get it.
