Its interesting how these types of images are comforting to some and scary to others. I've always been drawn to that big empty liminal space feeling. Its a little unsettling but its also some weird version of nostalgic combined with like a haunting peacefulness. Feeling has always been hard to explain.
It's kind of ironic, really ... we spend so much time seeking shelter, seeking safety.. yet we find a curious comfort in the darkness. Maybe it's the darkness where truths lie. Truths within ourselves and the universe inside out. Bloom and decay...
I've had that exact feeling when I was young and hid in a classroom until everyone left. Then I roamed the entire building, appreciating empty rooms, closets, being able to move effortlessly in the corridors. I had it again when I visited an abandoned metal pipe factory in germany, and again while exploring a hospital at night. These are memorable moments of serenity. This picture and the ambiance doesn't quite capture the feeling, but I know it's there.
@@ruffles886 That's quite artistic, I think the truth lies between the planes of light and darkness myself but the unknown always holds some truth....I too love these images and depictions of haunting darkness with the ambience.
Love it: The primary frequencies are really good for masking office noise while the different layers of sound, like water dripping, gives something else but the main sounds to focus on.
I don't know liminal spaces could have connection between the afterlife and your own consciousness and it could be possible your mind can slip into the afterlife conjuring up that liminal space I mean it could just be me but I dig into afterlife mythology and it might be very possible that liminal space has connection to the afterlife.
I love that the Summer Forest theme from Spyro has sort of become the unofficial pool rooms vibe theme, at least the original melody and drone of it. It’s so peaceful and if you explore Summer Forest in the game, there are actual pool rooms there once you learn to dive!
Midwich soothing us into sleep and deep relaxation in the Backrooms now! Can't imagine anything better. It's been raining a lot lately, and it is again today. Just gonna enjoy it all and lazily float along for a while.
You should use a browser like Brave or Vivaldi they both block ads aggresively and updates their adblocker when TH-cam is threatening us to disable our shields right now I'm using Operas adblock perfectly fine playing around with different browsers you will get one ad but Opera blocks and skips through it.
This showed up in my algorithm because I'm getting some kick out of these ambience videos, but I like this one a lot. I used to go to many hotels with my family into the poolrooms there and this image reminds me of swimming...it's soothing. Thank you Midwich Music for the feels!!
Great job Midwich! I truly am impressed by your work, and even look up to you for your great videos! My first comment on one of your vids was about the connection to the pool rooms! Glad you made a pool rooms ambience! Barely could fine any at all out there are are actually longer than 10 minutes! Thanks. I hope you get to 1million subscribers soon! Seems far but I believe in you.😊😊😊❤❤❤
I'm glad you like it! Thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot! Greetings my friend. 🖤 Hahaha yes, 1 Mio. is waaaay more then far away. I'm really happy with my little community, but 10K would pretty cool one day! ^^
Somewhere I feel like liminal spaces exist between reality and our own consciousness generating that liminal space this is very relaxing all the pressure in my brain seems to have disappeared which is very strange you can also use lucid dreaming to experience liminal space but be careful exploring lucid dreams are just as dangerous.
The reason big empty places feel scary , frightening maybe even terrorizing is because of the unsafeness of the situation No where to cover , run , hide And it feels like a big monster would fit right into the spot Or it just feels bad because we realize we are small
@@midwichmusicI didn’t know that, wow, that’s interesting! Always loved the melody and peace of this theme and it’s sort of become the pool rooms vibe theme too lol
Somewhere in that dark corner is someone who admires me. She's waiting for me to ask her out. She's been there for about 200 yrs. Now that's commitment!
It's still so strange to me how I had a vivid dream featuring one of these type of liminal pool rooms when I was very young, well before knowing about liminality. It's as if it was always dormant in our collective unconsciousness.
The music gives me chilling vibes, but if I look at the picture at the same time I get an uncanny feeling that I'm never getting out of here. I'm trapped forever...
Someone should buy an abandoned walmart and turn it into the pool rooms people can wade through the shallow water filled hallways and it plays relaxing music
where is this? does not look particularly relaxing to me...looks kinda of scary to be honest. not criticizing the video or concept i genuinely have never heard of pool rooms before.

It's like your favorite mall that once brought you joy as a child has now been ruined by neglect, bad weather, and probably radioactive substances.

Some people want to cry in fear just thinking of the poolrooms. Others just want to relax.
Liminal spaces feel like comfortable loneliness. The peace in being alone. It's a really nice headspace to slip into sometimes.
True!
Lovely ambience
Love the Poolrooms
Then why don't you go into
@@tamatovimimudte5359 i would if i could

I`ve never felt those big empty spaces unsettling. It is the absence of all disturbing sounds and sights, where you can enjoy in peace. By yourself.
For a little while. However, being alone for too long would start to play tricks on your mind.
@@JNB0723 , I think I need to experience that to confirm it.
So peaceful 😊
I’ve never heard a melody so beautiful in my life. The perfect sound my mind harmonizes at, thank you ❤
I need to go to this place soooo bad i LOVE The Pool Rooms.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
❤❤❤Same! Because to most people this reality is not good. It makes a great escape. Like a book, but better.

is it only me who thinks that this picture is frightening? 😮
Nope. Me too.
I imagine sharks swimming around going for ankles like in re 1
Nope, me too
The It's Infinity gives this eerie atmosphere.... The great unknown. 😮
I'm probably weird but I always found these poolrooms photos comforting
Another lovely piece! A bit more lively 💧 than most others, which (I find) makes it well suited for staying focused.

@@Bozitico 5 pm for you 11 pm for me i am in Switzerland..
TBH I wanna live in the poolrooms with this kinda ambience.
This is so calming for me
This doesn't scare or unsettle me at all. It feels more like I'm under the ocean and looking on in awe and wonder of a beautiful ancient alien city
Good that it's not supposed to be scary ^^
I wish the pool rooms were real, I'd love to chill in them
Please, make a 10 or 24 hour version. I could have slept to this music 😴🌜❤
You can set the video on loop in the playlist :)
I really like this one. It's very peaceful ❄️
Thank you! ^^
Great job 🎉
For some damn reason I was expecting to hear "Welcome back to NightMind friends" lol
I really wanna figure out how I can replicate these delicate sounds myself.
Just give it a try and see what happens ^^

Somewhere I feel like liminal spaces exist between reality and our own consciousness generating that liminal space this is very relaxing all the pressure in my brain seems to have disappeared which is very strange you can also use lucid dreaming to experience liminal space but be careful exploring lucid dreams are just as dangerous.
Haven't tried lucid dreaming yet. But it's definitely interesting ^^
This water had to come from somewhere, lets look around but please dont leave my sight. 😮
This is actually claustrophobic
Reminds me of the old tomb raiders.
Lara's new home xD
I want to live here
But don't forget to leave the water from time to time. Otherwise your skin will shrivel up xD
I think this pool room looks back if it were In the 80's
It looks like a flooded parking garage.
