Honestly, I recently unlocked big boy Apoc and after spending as much resources as I did, I’m glad that the Apocalypse Saga is getting a change to make it more accessible to newer players!
I started upgrading sinister 6 for dd6 and next when the game gives me more training materials I'll do spider society then Xtreme x........ Two years later
The horseman are easy 7 stars. Unlock GGC and get him gt 16 with t4 on special and passive, then upgrade mysterio vulture doc oc kraven to GT15 minimum (I took vulture GT16) with minimum 6664 abilities but having t4 on doc oc and vultures specials will be great, and that will get you through villain nodes and city nodes super easily. Literally 0 effort. And you already know what's next, extreme x men. Extreme x men at minimum gt14 (I'd go 15 but I used 16) will solo the first 4 nodes of morgan le fay and get you 7 star 4 red milestone on Max difficulty with the right scourages. You need sin 6 or spider society for rogue and arch angel. Red hulk is the only one who can't really be cheesed. Dorky dad has cheese guides for all of them
My guess it'll be upwards of a month until the Apocalypse changes go into effect. Looking back at Void Knight - it was announced he'd be available in an orb unlock, then he'd transition into the Arena store sometime after (this is back in that initial Hive Mind farming announcement we got). It took about a month for that transition to happen.
Im on the final difficulty for big apocalypse i just finished the unlimited X-Men node and know I'm on the gamma one should I wait for these changes or should I continue to give the current requirements iso 2 lvl 5 or wait what would you recommend
This is exactly what I was thinking they should do for reducing his requirements, changing it from needing the entire team to just needing the Horseman character and a broader trait. Good change imo, even though I'm long past unlocking Apoc.
It's a really good change since a lot of the horsemen teams have been power crept or weren't that great to begin with (looking at you Arch Angel 😡) . Apocalypse is a great character and this makes it infinitely easier for newer players to get him. It also means I can tell old man stories about how "back in my day, we had it tough! We used to have to bring 23 characters up to g17!!"
As someone who just finished the last part of the highest tier Apocalypse today it sucks they didn’t do something before…BUT its probably for the better. For me what the killer was was the ISO requirements. If they had just changed that iWould have not felt as bad, but even if it was made easier to do so. iLike this changes except it does make me think that with so many mutants in the game and them doing it like this Mutants should be a category for Dark Dimension. Maybe it will end up being with Professor X. We shall see.

Two of my alliance mates instantly got big boy and never built these shitty toons. They were never good for me i only built for apoc. This coupled with the CB stuff has me HATING this game today, for the first time ever.
Great change, unfortunate for those who just unlocked him but good for everyone else forever. This is an absolute Scopley win and should be identified as such! It means a similar thing will happen with Age of X.
I'm curious to see how many characters would be sitting at lvl 1 forever due to not being needed to acquire rare characters anymore. What's the point of having a hero collector featuring characters as popular as marvel comics if it's just "Get tankcrawler to lvl 100 to unlock everyone". The marvel universe is big and the game should reflect that to a degree. Also, endgame streamers and content creators making new accounts, then whining that they aren't winning like they used to just to change all the unlock requirements just proves who runs the game.
Ppl who built the apoc saga teams during year of apoc, built them when they were given time to build and focus on those teams. By that I mean, it was easier to build Darkhold when Darkhold was being released and you could prioritize building that team. They also built them when Darkhold was the premier arena team, gamma was the premier war team, unlimited…well at least gambit, rogue, and sunfire got a new life, and Deathseed was needed for raids. You didn’t flush resources down the drain just for the apoc unlock. You built 4 meta teams and as a bonus you got to unlock apoc. That was the advantage of playing during that time. But no one wants to admit there were parts of unlocking apoc that used to be easier, they just want to focus on the few character like sw and fantomex they had to build. I also find it funny ppl are making the equivalent argument of when my parents grew up, they didn’t have smart phones, so no one else should be able to use smart phones now. It’s just not a strong argument.
That doesn't really work though because new players, without the new change, would be spending more resources then you guys ever did, with spider society, Pegasus, alpha flight, hive mind, OOT, cabal, cant forget fucking illuminati, the new Kraven team coming soon, bifrost if your alliances needs you to, extreme x men and that's just the minimum for raids, OML and the new legendary. The game is a lot more expensive now then it used to be, so this a great all around change, and if you are a mid game player listening to content creators like dorky dad and mobile gamer, you wouldn't have been going for apoc anyone because they were advising against it in anticipation for a change to the requirements that the community has been asking for all year.
so do the rest of us get compensation for ranking up characters no longer required? Kinda fucked up if not. Coulda used those resources on other better characters.

It also feels like a cheap fix to a historic part of MSF player personal milestone. The Apocalypse saga was a 2 year event that was the focus of every single player for those years of play. Such a wasted second chance to make the apocalypse saga feel actually worthwhile. Scopley completely removing the horseman teams is a second kick in the dick for leveling some of those characters up to get Apoc the original way.
Cool so it isn't possible to be competitive f2p I'll just engage less and can wait six months and they will just hand me stuff. What a pos none game. Most the content is pvp but if you aren't gonna whale don't bother. Such a shame and waste of five years of my life

This is not making it easier for "new" players. The changes to the horseman trials shift the gear up requirements to earlier in the process.
