I have got the AK phazer V2 with a f-one gravity 2200 foil. I have used it for the first time last weekend. Got some speed but didn’t lift off. The nose kept hitting the water. Wiuld this be weight placement because i put the mast to far forward? It was all the way in front of

Every board and foil Combo is different and I’m not familiar with AK. That being said I would suggest placing it in the middle of the box and moving your body around it.

I’m having a hard time positioning the mast in my Cabrinha code board. I think that I need to move it forward because is harder to get on foil when compared to my brother’s 75lt board with a smaller front wing. Also it feels very unbalanced, feels like the front of the board wants to go down and then suddenly I go over foil .

This does sound like it needs to be moved forward. Bring it forward so that the centre of your back foot sits over the leading edge of the mast. That’s my preferred position.

what is the most plug and play out there ? i have some idea 😉 does the seven seas 1400 has less front foot than the phantom 1400 ? because i tested the phantom on another board before getting my 7 seas and my footing is neutral compared to the phantom, is it my board or is it right ?

@youdigsurf that’s a good question. I’d be guessing if I told you which one produced more lift for a given speed and AOA. My guess would be the phantom. I think you should aim for a neutral feel, but as I mentioned in the video, it’s completely up to personal preference. I hope that helps mate. Sorry I couldn’t be more specific.

I am using a f-one phantom 2200 on a RRD Board and I am having troubles getting up on foil. Some peolpe told me it is because of the "rocker-shape" of f-one boards that is consecutevly programmed into thef-one mast so I wuld need to shim the f-one mast on a non f-one board about 3°. What do you think?

I’m not familiar with the RRD boards but I don’t think you will need to shim. My advice would be to place it in the middle and work on technique to release the board from the water.

transitioning from a f-one phantom 1480/275 cm to the sk8 1050/200 cm. board i ride currently is an f one 120L rocket. i am 220 lbs/105kg and have a question about starting mast position for the sk8. I usually set the phantom around the 3 position and that feels balanced to me. DO you have a recommendation for where to start the mast position on the sk8? i have done the hand under the front foils center of lift and mast position 5 sets the board level but that seems almost all the way forward in the mast tracks. Thoughts?

I would suggest starting slightly forward of your usual position.

Is it better to put mast further forward to create more front foot pressure when learning to switch feet?

Yes, I did this when I was learning and got so used to the feeling I’ve never moved it back again 😂. It will help you have a bit more time when in the awkward moments of both feet on the front of the board. Hope that’s helps.
