I absolutely love the songs in the Doraemon series. They’re all so catchy and they get stuck in my head. My favorite song in this video is Melancholic Doraemon, it sounds so sad, but sweet. Also, in Melancholic Doraemon, is the main singer suppose to be Doraemon himself? If that’s the case, then his voice use to sound a lot different back in 1973! Doraemon is such a cool character, he’ll forever be in my heart as one of my favorite characters from Japan. 💙
Yep, it was sung by the first generation of Doraemon himself. owo After the first anime production arrangements fell apart, they reanimated the series and exchanged the roles of involved voice actors.
Doraemon's first voice actor was Kosei Tomita (1936-2020). During production however he got into a car accident and then later on in the adaptation the voice was done by Mazako Nozawa, best known for the voice of Goku from Dragon Ball Z. Nozawa's version of Doraemon is much more closer to Oyama and Mizuta's versions of the character later voiced in the 1979 and 2005 adaptations.
This is the strange thing about records. The pitch of the insert songs here is pretty different from the pitch most rips have online. I dont own the records myself (let alone in great quality) so IDK which one is correct.
Sadly the footages had been taken back by an old staff of this anime after he found someone else uploaded them to other places a long time ago lol. 🤣🤣 And then we never see the complete version again. I only watched one episode and... The animation quality back in those days was way lower than others. The art style was very different.
@@prabirlahiri2597 I can't remember the episode number, but it's about Nobita and Doraemon played skating in their house corridor, and then they got scolded by Nobita's mom. Later, Doraemon created a miniature replicated town for his fun and also called Nobita's friends to join the fun. I watched Chinese dub (pirated DVD), so I never got the chance to listen to its Japanese dub. Doraemon's earliest voice sounds exactly like Melancholic Doraemon. Well, it was the voice actor who sang that song lol.

I notice that about the 70's music, compared to the manga itself which mostly focused on Nobita. I wonder if this shows any of the difference in direction between 1973 & 1979 Doraemon. Though, I always assumed this would be more accurate to the early manga. Tho by 1973 Fujiko didn't seem too happy with it, especially not by 1979
@@CosmicSponge2004 I wonder why the first adaption of any novel/comic/manga is almost always a loose adaption-an example being Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" from 1980, though I think it's better than the book. The 1973 anime has a bunch of random differences compared to its 1979 successor-an example being that gadgets are called "secret weapons"-also, the art style is very "unstable". Characters change shape and size all the time. I guess someone didn't use the model sheet.
The anime story didn't go just as manga story, low quality of animation, and also the company director lost the interest to continue because of anime production debts.
it actually had good ratings. there were plans for a second season, but those plans fell through when the studio got a new CEO who didn't care for the show that much. not to mention the studio went bankrupt shortly after the season 1 finale and was forced to sell all prints and pieces of the show to pay off their debt.
