Great stuff Michael, really enjoyed every minute of your video. Lots of fun and creative ideas (touching the water, flying in/out of van & car), and even funnier when the odd mistake happens (like the undercarriage left in the door frame). Good to see you really enjoying our flying hobby. David B.
This video is just perfect. It show that no matter how serious you are about the sport the main thing is to have fun. Some excellent flying there Mr Wargo. Hats off.
Michael, this is a "sweeet" video!!! You fly like NO ONE ELSE! Steve, super camera work, and all the editing you guys did...WOW. Yes, I am still flying...and a fair amount better, but with flaps and retracts on some of my planes, it's still a "luck" situation whether or not I take the planes home from the field in one piece! I'm having a fabulous time with flying/repairing/buying the electrics. What a GREAT HOBBY!! Thanks for your help along the way THANKS for the entertainment! Sandy G
MIke, Your *the* pilot on youtube I like to watch for flying style, its so much fun to watch ie. twisted camping trip!. When i first got interested in this type of flying I watched a HK video you did explaining which planes you suggested to start with for learning to hover I ended up with a TH Slick that has taught me so much and a year later am moving this into the AddX and an AMR. Wish I had a guy like you at my field in West Palm to learn some techniques from!
Hi Michael, cool vid, good range of planes. Just ordered an Addiction X. I know you probabbly get this kind of question all the time, but I'm planning on getting a HK EPP yak55 as well and I was wondering what your setup was.
THey Are very close in performance... I really like them both. Been flying the Katana MX most. I am still flying the original prototype I flew in tthe Seff Last year. I have done 4 or 5 videos of it. I really enjoy flying it.
YEs... The best balsa plane to start out with is the addiction or addiction x by precision Aerobatics, and if you want a great foamy, Twisted hobbys makes a bunch of great 3d foams. If you want really inexpensive, check out the yak55 from HObbyking. I have videos on all of those, by the way.
Well, I have the 48, 60, and 78" extra300s from EFrc, but I've recently purchased the PA Addiction and love it, and now I want to check out more PA planes, lol. I'm going to buy the AddictionX for sure. But for now I'm going to decide on the ExtraMX and KatanaMX; do you have thoughts on comparing those two or are they negligibly close in performance?
+Donny Brandy I have many instructional videos as well as the most popular thread on 3d flying... it is called how to fly 3d with michael wargo. Just type how to fly 3d into youtube or rc groups.
WOW...some of the best entertainment I have had in a while! I think this video might just qualify you as a Jedi along with George Clooney, Jeff Bridges and The Men Who Stare at Goats! heh heh
Thanks, Mike (Michael?). I appreciate your thoughts. I think I'll have to decide on the ExtraMX and KatanaMX based on looks then, lol. I have like 35 planes or so in my "hangar"... and I get rid of a few and buy a few constantly so it doesn't overflow. Now I just need to decide which planes to get rid of to make space... I have a feeling I may be buying more than a few PA planes once I get into them... : )
Great video! Wacky stuff!!! :D I wonder how the h*ll you hover that depronplane upsidedown...? I am a big fan of you and love all your videos, so do I the green Addiction you've got in the video! Thanks Kristofer
My favorite was the rolling harrier over the puddle where you got all the control surfaces wet on one roll! By the way, when am I going to see you catch one of the big birds? Just kidding. I'm going on vacation for a week and a half. You're making me wish I could bring my airplanes. Neil
The foamies are twisted hobbys yak 55 knife through building, Hobbyking piaget (flown into van) The power f3p was in it, the galaxy, twisted hobbys vector and mini slick too. Yes I have all PA planes, and all are better for pure 3d than the Extreme flight stuff. I love their planes too, but in my opinion, the pA are just lighter and more controllable low and slow.
Ok. at 4:05 your rudder went crazy back and forth, but I guess it was just turbulence coming up from the water since you was that close. Thanks for answering:)
Mike: Can you give me a list of the planes you're flying in this video? I'm mostly concerned with the 60" or less sizes. I noticed the KatanaMX from PA, and also the the AddictionX, both are planes I am considering buying, though I'm torn between the KatanaMX and the ExtraMX... I'd like to know what the smaller foam profiles are? And have you flown the KatanaMD? How does it compare with the KatanaMX for slow 3D? Can you compare them to the ExtremeFlightRC 48", 60", and 78" Extra300s?
Is the Telink Yak a good plane to learn 3D on.? I'm putting one together at the moment and a bit worried by the weight of the wing joiner, but otherwise impressed.
SquiffySky If you are looking for a good indoor plane then i would get the flyingdog ramiel hellfire but it will cost a bit more to make it good. I used to have a crack yak but i changed it because i wanted something better. www.flying-dog.co.uk/shop/ramiel-hellfire-p-254.html
this is what i have but you can go for a cheap setup but it is worth the extra money if you ask me:JR DS318 servos, yge speed controller, energia motor, 450mah lipo.
Thanks a lot... You know I have a series of how to videos.... called how to 3d. If you search for them there is a lot of techniques detailed pretty well. There is a camera on my radio and I talk though the maneuvers. I am down near West palm often. Share with me your personal info in a private email, and I can come fly with you at your club. Send me a private message here, and I will respond...
I am a team Pilot for both Precision Aerobatics, twisted hobbys and Hobby King. These are outtakes from videos for these sponsors. except the jet through the building. I have a full video or a few of each for all pa planes and all of the planes in the video. Either go to hobbyking's channel, Pa's Vimeo channel, twistedhobbys site or my channel. YOu can find the PA vids on precision aerobatics site. Or just subscribe to my channel. All are there too.
How low is too low ??? How bent is too bent ?? Too low is when the grass monster bites your ass. The banana bounced back into normal shape anyway......almost. Little tip for the future. Clean your models with Scotchguard Fabric Protector, that way when you land on the couch the wife won't complain so much......"Really Honey, I WAS doing the dusting you asked me too....."
I gotta say, the credits steal the show! ...OK, the flying is pretty impressive too. 😉
La classe et sans se prendre au sérieux. Bravo. J'adhère complètement.

What a cool video! Not into 3D but still fun to watch. Great music too.
the end credits were hilarious! XD lol
so glad I'm not the only one doing silly stuff with my planes :)
Thanks Michael, this is a great video :)
Impressive flying and editing! Thanks
Funny video and beautiful 3d flying!!!
How thick does a plane hover nose down....I'm totally amazed!
Excellent - love the music too. Thanks!
PS: How many years/hours of flying to achieve THAT?
Plane whisperer. Wonderful.
Fascinating to watch, your such a skilled pilot.
Any rudder gyros there?
Amazing Flying!!!!! as always. Funny Stuff
Enjoyed that very much! Thanks

I agree. You are one of my favorite and one of the best. Could I have one of those little guys?

I know your good Michael but flying with the controller behind your back Wow!
Very nice flying
OMG! Hysterical
It is a variable pitch airplane. It has a propeller that the pitch can reverse, from there it is a lot of practice... LOL

Fun video!
I want to fly with you someday Mike.. that's fun stuff! Sometimes perfect is boring and if you dont push it you'll never be creative.
If you are in central florida... IT would be easy. I am sure I would enjoy the flying too... just reach out if you are in my area of central florida
I may just take you up on that someday buddy. :)
Didn't know that was possible other than for hellos. Thanks for replying
Love the video!
How about that I thought he was just a old stick in the mud ,He does know how to have fun It's a shame most clubs won't let you do this
Is the Telink Yak a good plane to learn 3D on.? I'm putting one together at the moment and a bit worried by the weight of the wing joiner, but otherwise impressed.
love the credits!
people - dont forget to read the credits
smooth operator...despite the flubs ;p
Very funny..... :)
Do you use a standard Expo on you're planes or do you change from plane to plane? 50%? Less? More? :)
Thanks... No Gyros there! LOL... Never tried one in a 3d plane... LEarning to Hover is a lot better if you do not use a gyro.
What is the green plane at 1:40?
Precision aerobatics katana mx.
Fun you rock
Does anyone know the type of plane he is flying indoors at 5:20 ?
it is a twisted hobbys vortex… not sure they make it anymore, but they have a lot in this size range that is actually better. the crack series.
Thank you!

It is a precision Aerobatics Katana MD
AMA safety code violations= Too numerous to count!
If there was guys there, it would be entirely a different story. But there wasn't. I''m sure he's safer them most with one hand behind his back.
anyone know what that green plane was called
I was looking at the yak 54 by hobbyking. Well thanks ill check out the others planes.
Why no strap on the transmitter ?
Song at 7:38 🔥
WOW some day maybe. I wish.

he always uses the recommended setups.
Something tells me that your credits are not all legit :O
On location???
I fly at Michael's field, and I can attest that Michael doesn't use gyros. About the location, NOT!
Could've just bought a helicopter lol :)
Got your credits wrong...
