Another point I must share with you: Never let your HSK level hold you back. It's just one indicator of your progress and doesn’t truly reflect what you’re capable of learning or absorbing. Learning is not linear IYKYK! Here’s why: I started reading articles from English learning magazines and singing songs (shoutout to Avril Lavigne!) in English early in primary school. I even began watching TED Talks long before I was anywhere near fluent-just for fun. In short, I never worried about my current level. I simply enjoyed immersing myself in English content. While my classmates were stuck with textbook phrases like "How many students are there in the class?" I was already singing in authentic English: "Chill out, what you yelling for? Lay back, it's all been done before"-from Avril's Complicated. Hahaha! And, funnily enough, my English scores were always among the highest.
This 10 minute video is the perfect material to begin 跟读联系。。。 p.s. Great use of music without overpowering the "upfront" dialogue. 10%/90% music to dialogue ratio. Perfect! Well done 老师!
@@themandarinmelon perhaps it was the device I was using- my TV- but I experienced Chinese subtitles covering English subtitles WHEN I HAD THE SUBTITLES TURNED OFF. I enjoy the lessons, today just couldn't enjoy as much
@@ngpoulos what?! that sounds weird, when you turn off the cc, the subtitles are on screen just like my other listening practice videos! it's probably a bug that I'm not able to fix from my side🥲

Can you please clean up the way your videos use subtitles. The mandarin covers up the english & makes none of it readable
