MV recloser

A recloser automatically tests the power line to determine if the problem has disappeared. If the problem was only temporary, then the recloser will automatically reset and restore power.
The recloser is a self-controlled, self-contained automatic device used by power companies to cut off power when a short circuit fault is detected on distribution lines
If the fault is not cleared, the recloser will open the circuit and retry another closing operation. These closing operations are commonly called reclosing "shots".
Resetting them allows electricity suppliers to save time and money, since they allow electricity to be automatically restored after one or two fluctuations.
Resetting it detects the problem and automatically cuts off the electricity.
A moment later switching it on again restores power
but if the problem is still present, it cuts it again
If the problem is still present after three attempts, the reset is programmed to take into account the permanent problem and it remains off
A team from the electricity supplier must then correct the problem on the line and reset it to restore power.
