This movie delivered . I love the part where they stop in front of a white couples home with a sign of “black lives matter,” in their front lawn, yet, they step out of their house recording them with their phone while accusing them of dealing in their neighborhoods. It was priceless!
The last scene facial expressions is what i still go threw when i hear sirens or someone knocking on my door. TRAMA and fear of the police/rasism. His friend understood and notice that.... What a great film

This movie was Great. I really didn't expect the detailed dynamics of each culture and the truama they face individually and even more when they mix negatively.
Just finished watching it. I was already excited for this movie and it DID NOT disappoint! This movie is the perfect mix of humor and suspense. It makes you glued to the screen in suspense and makes you laugh at the very next second. They nailed the genre perfectly. The plot was really engaging.. I can't speak about the realistic aspect of it cause I have not lived through that but it still made me feel for the characters and live in the fear. The 4 leads Donald Elise Watkins (kunle), Sabrina Carpenter (Maddie), RJ Cyler (Sean) and Sebastian Chacon (Carlos). They all were incredible... if you can tell what they're feeling without any dialogues...you know they did their job flawlessly.

I get that they took a bad decision.. but maybe the movie is showing an alternative ending to what would be the outcome of a bad decision and how things would unfold. Realistically speaking some people do take bad decisions especially in that kind of situations (plus high af). The chances of it going down hill were the same in both the decisions cause you never know how things can unfold. Anyways, this movie is a thriller-comedy so some things are exaggerated for humor. Either ways I still felt what the characters were going through and it was a good watch.

Also she was a important character in the movie even though she wasn't a main lead. Plus she's literally on the front cover. (If you're confused then Maddie or Maddy is the passed out girls sister who follows the main lead throughout) The passed out girl was used more like a prop with barely any dialogues even though she had more screen time.
This movie had so much depth! So many messages about friendship, brotherhood, being black but growing up from different backgrounds, police brutality, how some people view black men, how some people actually give us the benefit of the doubt. This was genius! Great job to the cast but most importantly the crew, director, and writer.
I get what the guy said about not calling the cops but it was still pretty dumb bc u making it even worser . I don’t think it’s really fair to judge all cops the same.

Loved, educational. Some people on Prime tried to say this movie was racist but I beg to differ. This movie is about FEAR. True honest fear, due to centuries of hateful programming as well as instilled and embedded fear. That FEAR simply leads to everyone making poor choices.
I feel that the problem is not Fear, in as much as it is Hatred. It is the Hatred for the Brown Skin colour, Hatred for Black People... From that Hatred, stems police brutality of black men by predominantly white officers... Thus black people don't want to call the professionals as that white officer said they should have.... And from that Hatred stems the No Trust policy of society, hence that white girl did not want to believe the black guys, she had to be calmed her down and convinced by other people. She would not have believed the black guys were trying to help her sister. Then make a mockery of the incident by writing that letter as if it would erase the trauma... Hatred is at the root of the problem and not Fear, fear is a result.... Well that's my belief....

This movie was so freaking good!!! I laughed, I cried, I cried some more…I felt all the emotions and it was so…gratifying/satisfying/validating/interesting to see themes I’m looking at in my own life through a critical lense being explored (namely participation in upholding antiquated social constructs, caste, respectability, and purpose). The balance of comedy, drama, creativity and reality was so beautifully executed. Best movie I’ve seen in a while.

THIS IS A GREAT MOVIE at how SOCIETY view BLACK PEOPLE; especially, BLACK MEN. In the movie the three were trying to save a white girl, but to her sister and the cops, they were trying to harm the girl. In the end the cop let them go with a "WARNING", and no apology. The white girl waited until another day to try and apologized, it was too late. It is scenarios like this in society as to why some BLACK PEOPLE just walk the other way. To prevent being shot or accused of wrongdoing, when in fact they just wanted to help.

Honestly yes this can definitely happen minus all the comedy. Especially if you are really high and paranoid as hell. This was a really good movie. Yes, it discusses stereotypes and fears between law enforcement and the brown community. But it does have a comedy spin to it with all the mishaps that happen that make the delivery of the heavy kinda easy to swallow.
This is a one good movie.. It has a deep message about young black people going through heavy troble based on their skin colour.. This movie made me very emotional. It’s so strange how often something like this happen. Me and my (at the time white passing Italian/Lebanese) bf went for a walk at around 9pm, we saw a young man thrown out of a car and he was beaten up badly, and barely conscious. He called the Police and we told them what we saw and where were we’re located and kept the young man company until the police arrived. Soon as they arrived (two cop cars) four police stop in the middle of the road, two approached my bf and two told me to get down, put my hands up, stand back” while holding their guns at me. I’m no threat and wearing my work office work attire and he (bf) a pair of jeans and a black hoody. My bf had to raise his voice and tell them I’m with him and we both were the ones speaking to the police operator, they didn’t listen and held me at gun point until they spoke to the young man that was beaten. I was broken that night to see that even me, a black female will be treated like I’m a villain or if I was the one who tossed the man out of a car after beating him. Doesn’t matter to police, they see skin,l to determine who is a threat and who isn’t. Very sick.
I don't even believe in God anymore. I think some tech is used on a wide scale to create a perception of God by sending some sort of mentally stimulating experiences and it leads people to believe in God mostly kids. Then life follows and people become adult from kids having those techs applied on them and they can be ready for working for people that own the earth for their children..

this is not a comedy, that's reality. (what the tail light scene actually meant) for nonseason folks, a broken tail light could be getting pulled over and possibly getting a warning or worse getting a ticket. For season folks, it's hoping to make it out alive with just a ticket.
I went to jail because of a tail light, crazy thing is the tail light wasn't out . I get to the station an 10 other black men are there as well for tail lights supposedly being out. Nobody got a ticket for tail lights tho an i had to go to jail cause they forced search the car on tail lights for a nickle bag of weed.

This was a fantastic movie. I didn’t expect it to become that deep and emotional, they did an amazing job with this. Kunle & Sean’s conversation in the lab towards the end sent chills down my spine. This movie is a masterpiece.

I just finished the movie, and the trailer does not do it justice. It's funny, tense, sad, thought provoking. The acting was good, and the story line was not hard to follow. It's so relevant to today's society as well.

This movie made me very emotional. It’s so strange how often something like this happen. Me and my (at the time white passing Italian/Lebanese) bf went for a walk at around 9pm, we saw a young man thrown out of a car and he was beaten up badly, and barely conscious. He called the Police and we told them what we saw and where were we’re located and kept the young man company until the police arrived. Soon as they arrived (two cop cars) four police stop in the middle of the road, two approached my bf and two told me to get down, put my hands up, stand back” while holding their guns at me. I’m no threat and wearing my work office work attire and he (bf) a pair of jeans and a black hoody. My bf had to raise his voice and tell them I’m with him and we both were the ones speaking to the police operator, they didn’t listen and held me at gun point until they spoke to the young man that was beaten. I was broken that night to see that even me, a black female will be treated like I’m a villain or if I was the one who tossed the man out of a car after beating him. Doesn’t matter to police, they see skin,l to determine who is a threat and who isn’t. Very sick.
I don't even believe in God anymore. I think some tech is used on a wide scale to create a perception of God by sending some sort of mentally stimulating experiences and it leads people to believe in God mostly kids. Then life follows and people become adult from kids having those techs applied on them and they can be ready for working for people that own the earth for their children..

A verbose movie about an important topic especially as educational film for police forces and some citizen. The ending is on point.
Looks interesting and it will be a good highlight to show the dilemma many black people must face because of discrimination and trigger happy cops.
It's all perception.
Cops are more likely to shot non black suspects. Also, black cops are more likely to fire at black suspects than white cops are. Some yourvhateful ignorance and lying because of media nonsense. That said this does look funny. I just hops modern SJWness doesn't ruin it.

this is not a comedy, that's reality. (what the tail light scene actually meant) for nonseason folks, a broken tail light could be getting pulled over and possibly getting a warning or worse getting a ticket. For season folks, it's hoping to make it out alive with just a ticket.
I went to jail because of a tail light, crazy thing is the tail light wasn't out . I get to the station an 10 other black men are there as well for tail lights supposedly being out. Nobody got a ticket for tail lights tho an i had to go to jail cause they forced search the car on tail lights for a nickle bag of weed.

Just started this movie. Minutes 2:25 to 3:32 I didn’t hear a word because I was literally rolling around laughing so loud. Minute 3:33 I literally died from lack of oxygen, from laughing even harder at what followed. This is going to be a great movie 😂 thanks for reading this comment.

Excellent film. What happens when bad decisions are made and lives at stake. Plus it's got the comedy mixed with sheer terror. Brilliant.
