Wonderful frames and canvases. I love how you refurbished them and put the canvases in the frames. They all turned out beautiful. Thank you for showing these.😊

Yes Girl! Sell those "Framed Prints"....always always a money maker. Sometimes I take a whole day and paint frames and add prints to stock up for my booth!
Hi Tina thanks for sharing your ideas and the price you sell each item for. My question is where do you live that people pay those prices. With the economy being what it is I mostly sell smalls. Out of 123 items sold last month, only 10 were over $12. I just don’t think the people coming through our area want to spend too much, maybe because they’re stopping by because they’re traveling and have a budget. Anyway, it’s my issue…..keep up the inspiration ideas coming. TFS!❤
I live in the DFW area of Texas. I sell at Painted Tree locations not antique malls. In general the demographics of Painted Tree locations are higher dollar customers it’s a boutique shopping mall basically. I pay more for rent but I believe I get a lot more traffic and people will easily pay the prices I mentioned. Every area is different and every situation different. What I get you may not but I do know people value things that are not cookie cutter.
If you ever find yourself with the perfect frame and print but no glass, use crackle medium, a clear coat and a dark glaze to make it look like an old varnished oil painting. I use folk art crackle, satin finish polycrylic by minwax, and any old dark glaze I've got hanging around, including watered down acrylic paint in a pinch. Glue your canvas to the backer board, apply the crackle (seal it first with something like Mod Podge if your print will absorb the crackle at all) and when dry give it a generous coat of polycrylic. when that dries apply your glaze and wipe off the excess. Mod Podge does not work as a clear coat...it's too flexible and won't crackle. Also, thick coats of the crackle give you a big crackle pattern, thin coats give you what looks like crazed china.
Thank you for sharing. Love the frames…I actually collect frames of all sorts, most don’t have glass😞 so they’re just sitting around. I probably should paint them and put them in my booth. Also… I’ve had customers complain to me about high price and that they come to get deals not high prices. I’m in Central Arkansas and we are one of the poorer states. I definitely price for the economy of my area. The most I can get for one of those frames is probably $24-$34 which would still be a great profit. ☺️☺️☺️
Yes you have to price to your demographic for sure. Part of the reason I choose Painted Tree is higher income demographic. But still if you can keep cost to under $5 you can still make a killing off these. Most who sale item you only make double your cost so it’s a win win in most situations. But low look for low prices on frames the canvas usually only around $2 to $3. That still gives you a decent profit.
@@Tinawilliams777 I picked up 2 frames today inspired by you. They were $5 each but 50% off. The glass needs to be cleaned and the frame needs paint. I’m so excited to see how this experiment turns out.☺️☺️☺️ I will keep you updated. Thank you for sharing,
I bought it on Amazon it was a little tool kit. I found myself stealing all my husbands stuff so I bought one for myself. It’s actually a pretty good drill.
Hi there. Just came across your video. Loved it. I am hoping to find a booth to sell at. I have a ton of supplies to work with. This has really inspired me to keep trying. Thanks 😃. I also subscribed and will have to watch your other videos.
Thanks I had a tough time finding a booth at first then I ended up with three all at once. They said handmade things won’t sell. Guess what they sell better than anything else I have.
Hello there , what a great video!! I have been ordering the canvas prints from Temu, also. And yes they are strange sizes! Thanks so much for all your suggestions and giving us prices!! Your work is absolutely beautiful!! Can’t wait to see your wood shelf sitters!! Have a great week Jeanne Baton Rouge 27:37
Hi Tina! I’m enjoying watching all of your videos! Love them all! I want to do some canvas pictures like you did in this video, but my question is what do you recommend using? If the frame didn’t come with its own backing. I have canvas pic that I need to glue to something I don’t
Beautiful projects and great tutorial! I agree all the little touches add to its quality and value. For many reasons I don’t shop on Temu; any hints where else the canvas prints can be found? Thank you!
Hi Tina!! Love love these pictures, the frame you did with the butterflies looks so beautiful, wow! I'm so happy your doing so well with your booths. It's good to see you. ❤❤❤
I am a retailer for the paint just haven’t gotten in on my website yet😂but plenty of people carry it. If in DFW area I have it at two locations. The pink tools were from Amazon love them they work great. I’ll link for you in description box.
Hello Tina, I just found your channel. Love it 😊 I'm new at trying to upcycle and sell. I don't have a booth but that is my dream. I was just wondering what state are you in? Thank you so much for sharing with us😊
Do you ever sell on marketplace on FB? I had a booth where I’m local but it’s been known as an antique mall for a very long time and they just started to let other things in there when I went in. I wasn’t even making rent bc of the fees they had on everything. I left and I noticed a bunch more booths left. There really is no place to sell locally where I’m at on FL. So I didn’t know if you had ever tried market place. I know that depends on location too. It’s hard bc shipping cost is so out of control now. Trying to find a way to sell items is really hard
I looked for a while. Painted Tree is nationwide chain. They are basically ETSY in person. Al though they do have a lot of clothing booths. Antique malls probably would not have worked as well for me. Although Painted Tree cost more for rent it actually wasn’t that much more. Considering they get a lot of traffic in a higher demographic looking for my kind of stuff it made much more sense than an antique mall.
Doesn't matter if it's from Temu, Amazon, or the flea market, it's upcycled. The entire look of the original pictures is changing. By your definition, purchasing brown paper for the back disqualifies it from being upcycled.
So you’re stealing other people’s art, putting it in fancy frames and selling it? Are you giving the original artists any credit for their prints by chance?
Temu is actually stealing from legitimate artists, she’s just supporting that by purchasing from them. I highly doubt Temu is giving credit to the artists they are ripping off so she wouldn’t know their name.
What are you even talking about? She's not even remotely representing that it's her artwork. That's ridiculous. She's not selling in an artist colony ffs. Get over yourself with that attitude.
