I made these today with a few teaks (the baby back), my husband said they were the best ribs ever! I gave them full 45 min and they were fall off the bone. The Instant Pot was a gift from my hubby, I’ve only used it three times and I can say it’s one of the best gifts ever, this pot is amazing!!

I've been pressure cooking ribs for a few years and actually save even more time by leaving the ribs alone silver skin and all and add more time. The Instant Pot melts all collagen from the cheapest of meats (even beef cheecks) and you can discard the gelatin or use it in a rich broth for soup.

The IP does collagen right when making a batch of PHO with beef tendon

After I put the dry rib on my ribs , I put about 12 ounces of root beer or Dr Pepper in a measuring cup and bring it to a boil in the microwave. This reduces the time it takes to bring the Insta-pot up to pressure. I pour this into the pot, put the pot in the Insta pot and turn it on. I take the ribs and stand them up with the bones facing the outside of the pot and let them circle the pot. I set the pot on manual and set the cooking time for 30 minutes. A quick release the pressure and live the ribs on a foil lined baking sheet, brush on Sweet baby Ray's brown sugar sauce, then pop into the oven at 425° for about seven and half minutes. Turn the ribs over and repeat. Made them this way about 15 times and every time is a winner. It works for country style ribs as well.

And that is our favorite sauce to use. Had some of these ribs last week, but my son in law cooked the ribs too long , so they were too mushy... I'll make it your way..

From the video, she used a high pressure for 45 minutes but that seems excessive for a small rack. Hope you're having a wonderful day.

Which instant pot do you use. The Instant Pot Duo Plus multi-cooker, or the Instant Pot Duo Plus multi-use pressure cooker?

Hello! 👋 Excellent tutorial! Question though, if I decide to marinade my ribs first overnight with the liquids (apple juice, apple cider vineger, etc.) along with the dry rub, won't the liquids wash out the dry rub from the meat itself when you marinade them altogether? Shouldn't the dry rub remain sticking onto the meat when I leave it overnight?

Wow, the next recipe I'm trying!! My husband doesn't like any BBQ sauce or anything sweet on his food/meats so I'm going to have to find a really good seasoning for pork. By the way, be careful scraping your fork on your teeth. My son has done that since he was young and hes 35 now. He's unknowingly scraped so much enamel off his front teeth cause he thought it was cool to do. I tell you this out of love not criticism ❤❤❤

Thank you, about the fork teeth thing! My sister was known for doing that just to get to me! Use your lips...it's better for you.

Just checked your cleaning tips. Is there any way to clean up that "burned" bottom I always get. I use a Crockpot but I guess it is the same? I don't dare use any water there.

Hmmm: I was looking for a one-pot recipe. You discarded the cooking liquid, then you basted the cooked ribs and baked them in an oven. Not quite what I wanted. First I don't have an oven or a grill in my small RV/Motorhome. So, is it OK, to cook down the cooking liquid with the ribs in it using the saute function? So that the ribs get cooked with the leftover liquid and any basting sauce you add? Another question: Broil is another word for FRY - correct?

These look delicious…. Just wondering if you happen to have a copy cat recipe for the cafe Rio pulled pork… and which roast is best??
    I bought a Boston butt 🤞🏼!??
Someone was saying it takes enchilada sauce which im not excited about… might just use the coke and bbq sauce u used!!
    Thanks ahead of time☀️💚☀️

Butt, also known as shoulder, is what you want for a pulled pork. That's what we use.

I tried this at 23 minutes and the bones just fell out when I removed them. For me I can't understand 45 minutes ??? They would be mush ???

I cook 1 or 2 racks of baby back ribs for 23 minutes with a 15 minute release & they fall off the bone.

Waste of bbq sauce. All you got is watered down sauce with fat in it.
