2019 Kia Soluto 1.4 LX A/T - Full Review

- After years of making products that felt too expensive for what they really are, it's nice to see Kia doing what they do best: serving great value propositions. No other car in their range does it better than their subcompact sedan, the Soluto.
We rather liked having the Kia Soluto around the Autoindustriya office. Last time out, we drove the top-spec 1.4 EX with an automatic transmission. Sure, it's no sports car, but Kia's smallest sedan appeals to the sensible side in us. Besides, where else can you can a load of tech features for less than Php 750,000? The thing is, there's the similarly equipped 1.4 LX, also with an automatic transmission. Has Kia hit the nail on the head with the entry-level variant too?

Mas magnda kunin kng ano pasok sa budget mo. .wag maghangd ng msydong mgnda kng wla nmn pambayd...mging praktical ka at kng ano trip mo bzta happy ka ok na un👉😁
Buti nalang nandito auto industriya at nagrereview ng base at mid variant spec vehicles. Hindi lahat afford ang high end. Keep up the good work!
How was the A/C sir? Ive read feedback that its aircon is terrible specially if the sun is out. Thanks!

@strawberry_shortcake4life A/C problem is easier to fix than any other car problems. Yan ang sakit siguro na madalas makita sa Kia and Hyundai cars since sister companies sila. I used to own a Hyundai Accent 2012, M/T and usually aircon ang pinapaayos ko. I think I had it fixed 4-5 times in its whole 8 yrs of stay with me. I just had it sold and bought an Xpander. I heard itong Xpander has Fuel Pump issues and I guess that is a more serious issue. Freon lang ang usual na inaayos sa A/C ko sa Accent ko noon and it was not all the time. Kung susumahin parang every 2 yrs lang nagkaka issue. Basta, alagaan nyo lang kotse nyo, and make sure that if you buy this Soluto, especially after 5 yrs dapat may budget kayong natatabi in case of emergency para sa issues. Kung maingat ka naman sa car mo, for sure hindi naman yan magkakasakit agad especially if it's brand new. 😊
My parents just bought me a kia soluto for school driving, this car is really fuel efficient compare to my mitsubishi strada (which is also fuel efficient) and I love it.

@@namo5406 umaabot po ako ng 12kms-14kms per liter kahit within the city po. sa hiway umaabot sa 21kms/liter naman, manual here

Here's one thing you should know about the 2019 KIA soluto, that it has no parts available in the Philippines. Meaning, if you are in an accident and it's for repair and needs some part replacement, you are in for a big surprise. 2-4 months waiting time in the service department without any hope of getting it fix and running again while paying it. Mine is already on the 3rd month. Why in the world will a car dealership sell a car without any parts readily available just in case they need it?! Even tanks need repairs once in a while to keep it working....
Why did you need to have it repaired? I'm planning to buy one pa naman
@@mchristinecat My driver was in an accident with a careless guy who took a left turn like he owns the road. Sorry but car dealerships should be able to provide service anytime for an event like road accidents or just simple defects.

lx mt and lx at are same spec? only engine are difference?
Its not underpowered.vvt kicks in at about 4200rpm.its designed that way.you have to rev it and stick it at that powerband to let out the power.something you cant do right there where you did the test.not enough landscape.
slow down the vids around .75 to avoid the helium voice

Langya 13kpl. Honda city 2018 ko 6-7kpl lang sa city. Ayos to sa nagtitipid.
Depending on the environment, Sir. I do have a 2011 City E AT and it does 11 litres/km, though I'm in Cebu and do around 60 kms everyday with 2 people on board. Mind you, we can't get very good gas mileage in Cebu due to the nature of our roads, even on out of town trips.
In real life 8- 10 km/ L lang ito :-(
confirmed ito, 1.4 lx mt owner here. umaabot ako hanggang 15-16kms/liter mix driving urban and hiway
@@gvm0116 is your city 1.5 or 1.3? Yung akin 1.5 and after months of observation, pure city driving at 20kph max i can do 6kpl, mix 10 kpl. But pure highway driving at a minimum of 80kph I can do 18-20kpl which surprised me. But I seldom drive in the highway so that is the best case scenario. On my everyday drive with moderate traffic I get 10kpl. I wish it was more efficient but it is what it is, bawi na lang sa ride comfort.
@@marquistics7795 1.5 sir. I have a Toyota HiAce, Pajero and Almera as well. In heavy traffic, you are definitely getting zero kilometers per litre. Even the puny 1.2 3 cylinder engined almera is suffering from consumption vs kilometers covered. In long drives, yes, it is possible to get 18 to 20 but very, very rarely. Again, I am from Cebu, not much stretch of roads here plus we have nasty roads.

The rear is how rears should have been for the past ...forever. I mean, who wants his butt to look like his face? The soluto's rear is the best looking rear there is. Nothing there that shouldnt be.
The intonation is so weird sounding. It makes the whole thing sound so unnatural and forced. But otherwise great review.
