When trying to describe this type of body mechanics to some of my students I stumbled onto the explanation of "Your strike is traveling a very long way in a very short distance. " Like comparing a javelin thrower to a discus thrower . Once you get it is seems simple but it's hard to convey it .
Don't agree with the very first move. No side movement it's hip onky. The side movement is a result of the hip turning not to fall. Like join move 12/13. Leg moves over because of rotation if the hip. Same in empi. The hip turns the legs gets thrown out. No moving first then turning of hip second
