  • This was at our 3rd and final concert of our spring season, entitled "Burst out Singing", at Court Street United Methodist Church, Rockford, IL, Sunday April 14, 2013. Our two previous performances had been in Chicago and Evanston. Conductor, Timm Adams.
The words and music of this humorous song were written in 1998, by Swedish composer, Anders Edenroth. It tells the story of that tune that gets stuck in your head, one of the lighter-hearted aspects of singing that we can all relate to. E.g: "I met a melody today, it didn't ask if it could stay. Now it even wants to share my bed."
Born in 1963, Edenroth studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and formed the internationally acclaimed, professional a cappella ensemble, "The Real Group", for whom this song is written.
