Thank you so much for showing us how...not only by machine but hand sewing too. Step by step makes it so much easier to follow. Beautiful work. I know Im going to have to have a go now...eeeek!
This is a great video for new quilters and those who have been quilting for a while! I just love to watch you quilt. Very relaxing and your hand sewing is beautiful! Thank you!😊
Thank you so very much for doing these video's Pene !An absolute gem!Having our own personal tutor showing us how to quilt. So informative!I can see you have started me down a rabbit hole!!❤xx
I have you playing when I am doing my patchwork. Thanks Penelope for your relaxing video and I am sure it is so much help for new quilters. The way you joined your two ends was how I do it but your way is so much easier than how I was shown previously. Thank you for the inspiration. Take care xx
Thank you so much for sharing these videos about making a quilt, so helpful and informative. You demonstrated the process so clearly and easy to understand. Really enjoyed watching and learning, thank you x
Good to see you Pene, such a great explanation of binding a quilt. You make it seem so simple and it's quite relaxing to watch. I shall refer to it when my quilt gets that far, and surprisingly enough it doesn't seem such a big deal.😊Thank you for doing it and your quilt is looking so good. Take care
Tonight I sat down with the table topper quilt that had just received it's binding this afternoon, and was amazed to find your binding video already! What fun. I was stitching the back side with a ladder stitch, while I watched you. I smiled when you got to the join of the two ends, and seemed to be pondering how to teach that bit. I used to sew those ends incorrectly about half the time, but you came through beautifully! What a great method. Mine is slightly different, but now works 100% and we do get the same result. We also agree on hand sewing the binding on the back. Isn't that the most satisfying part of the whole process?! It's so great to see how that nice neat binding brings the project to a beautiful finish.
@@penelopeschinwag you have such beautiful sewing and knitting skills! You have especially motivated me to go back to some hand quilting with larger stitches. I loved the thought that we don't need those close stitches with modern batting. You are so right!
I do my bindings a little differently, but the outcome is the same, including hand sewing the back side down. So funny I like watching your hands because they look just like mine!
I didn’t know we are using a different side of the brain than the one that worries, that’s good for me because I worry more than most. This was so good to see.xxx🐝🐝🐝🐝
Hi Pene. I'm back from the dental hospital, and I'm a bit sorry for myself. Enjoying seeing the quilt come together. Whilst stitching my epp hexagons. ( trying a new wrist support). Have a lovely bank holiday weekend. Xx
No wonder feeling sorry for yourself, a bit of EPP may bring some comfort. Hoping the wrist support helps. I have a friend staying for the weekend and she has just cut out her first ever quilt. Onwards and upwards. Take care. xx
