More people than ever? Where are they? I can't see any. They're all laying down and taking anything that's thrown at 'em as far as I can see. I like your optimism but I think we're a few steps behind where you think we are.
Saw them at least twice at the Venue in Edinburgh in the early 90s, back when me and my girlfriend- assisted by the people who scored off us- snorted (conservatively) close to an eight ball of coke and smoked an easy half ounce of dope a day until the bloke who wanted to be her boyfriend instead of me got tired of her amused disdain for him and grassed us up. I had half a kilo of coke in the car and she wasn't yet home from a night out when the coppers booted the door off its hinges at 6am and tore the house apart, busted me with an embarrassingly small amount of weed and enough paraphernalia to be obvious what we were up to (but missed the car entirely, praise be to the god of freedom) putting an emphatic full stop to our livelihood and ruining the plans of about a thousand party people for the next month... good times when you're young and bulletproof. I thought I'd dodged a bullet but four months later she was pulled over with a few grams in the car, they brought her home, booted the door off its hinges again and caught me with a kilo and a half of coke. I spent the rest of the 90s in jail and never saw RDF again.
