One of my favorite Architects...he is on of my inspirations to this day. Thanks for featuring Tadao Ando and his works....
So glad I happened on this. Ando is a joy.
Tadao Ando designed a new addition to a museum near my house in Massachusetts. Most observers agree that he ruined the museum. The addition was tremendously expensive with lots of wasted space and nonsensical concepts, like cafe windows that face a blank concrete wall rather than the beautiful New England countryside. The original museum in the neoclassical style, built in the 1950s, is vastly better.
Spot on.
Have visited many Ando buildings over the years, and his concrete is beautiful concept in my eyes were far less interesting than the timber constructions of his culture. This can be shown by a villa by Ando and a villa by Kuma, the later adopts the landscape while Ando blocks it.
What is the name of the museum? I would like to see what you are talking about
@@jaceadkinson2085 It is the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Beloved when showcasing others please let us see the work or lives of these people, as opposed to watching you sitting in a chair. Thanks for the video, i will go and search for some videos about this person. Below please see another video on a great architect. One love
I love Ando's work. However, I also love Luis Barragon. There are some stylistic parallels, but Barragon is from Mexico so his work is much more colorful. If you don't know him, look for his work.
absolutely one of the best architect of our time ..he design the modern art museum in dallas Texas and it is a masterpiece of a building

My left ear really loves this video!
LOL
@@thenoelroberts I'm sure it's like a genuinely good video but I really couldn't sit through the entire thing missing my right audio brother. If you wanna fix the audio and reupload, I'd be happy to watch it 💜💜
Informative video❤
Great video man

thank you sir!
The audio clicks during the cuts between images of the different architecture. Shots are also extremely distracting.
I had the chance to visit the Chichu art museum in 2017. Truely a masterpiece
Agreed!
Very nice video.
Thanks for watching!
I worked for Ando in Osaka. He beat his employees.
"Beat" in what definition? Physically harmed people? Employees would never put up with that! So, do you mean competitively, as in asking the employees for their sketches, but his were better?
How u got a small subs with this quality content.? 😢
Gotta start somewhere ;)
The secondary camera is awkward and makes the production look actually more low budget than it probably is. I would simply eliminate it and continue with the face on camera.
Frankly speaking,so sad and depressive ugly structures,it pollutes the environment por years to come!!😢
you should have used a cheap microphone that will sound better.
.
May people work on activating their inner God's abilities.
new age woo 🙄🙄😴😴
obvious chatgpt script but good video
Actually, you'd be surprised
SCRILLIN"
Why does this sound like a chat gpt made speech? Lol
The narrator is discussing extremely austere high-level architecture, yet the background contains a convoluted mess of 1980s style venetian blinds, a stained glass artifice and an empty wall. Plus the chaos of the electrical cord around the microphone adds additional visual distraction.
Do you think he should have recorded from Ando's atelier? Guess what - many architects, even famous ones, keep messy studios that don't look anything like their work for clients.
more video bro
On the way
💙💛
😑 Promo`SM
There are way too many quick cuts and edits in this video. The editor needs to be more conservative with their cats. Also seriously get rid of the side camera, it’s low budget and is awkward.
wtf
What's with the zoom in and out and angles, etc.? We don't even need to see you; just show what you are talking about. You come of as incredibly pretentious.
