From an Atheist, to New Age, to a Catholic Children's Author (w/ Izabela Ciesinska)

  • In this episode of The Cordial Catholic, I'm joined by Izabela Ciesinska to talk about her incredible faith journey and her wonderful new book.
Raised nominally Catholic, Izabela wandered into the New Age movement as a young adult and eventually into atheism, deciding that there can't possibly be a God until she was struck by incredible, natural beauty on a road trip with some friends. Suddenly confronted by inexplicable beauty Izabela began a winding journey to discover its source, journeying back through the New Age movement, through Prosperity Gospel preaching as a Protestant, and finally back to the life-giving sacraments found in the Catholic Church.
Izabela's story is fascinating and her perspective - as a filmmaker, author, and creator - is a propounding interesting one.
In addition to her journey we talk about the role of media, how to reach and impact children with rich stories, the role of ego, darkness, and evil in the media we consume, and the power of prayer.
    It's a great conversation.

From paganism to taking up your cross through the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
    Very few make it.
.If you understood Scripture from Genesis through Revelation there is very little difference between then and now!
Very few understand David and Job, although they had there own sins they were the only two God was pleased with.
I don't think you will ever understand God, he is the beginning and the end. He has already chosen who his children are.
Sad thing is, you are not begging and thankfully NY God for his mercy but trying to get many to follow you to the lake and because of that your punishment will be greater than those you bring with you.
I know you will not understand because your to self righteous and Jesus did not come to call the righteous!
You do not understand when God gives birth to one of his the Holy Spirit immediately in dwells that person and he becomes the temple God dwells in and therefore becomes the body of Christ your pagan priest by hocus pocus thinks he is pulling Your false messiah down from heaven through your satanic spirit. What you do has nothing to do with the living God in heaven.
    Thy Will be done,
    In earth,
    As it is in Heaven
So you think in Heaven they do all your pagan practices?
But then, maybe you do not understand and know God because you were a vessel made for wrath!
I am not worried about you as you are not even worried about yourself. I am worried about all those you are deceiving!
Maranatha, is probably something you are not really looking forward to!

This woman is a remarkable person. Much respect. I was thinking of her description of the beauty of nature, the thought "Savage Beauty" or "Wild Beauty" came to mind. It almost seems to me that God, in His desire to draw us to Himself, has created these refractions of the heavenly realms, the blinding light, the flaming purity, the spotlessness, terribleness of His holiness and power. These must be ameliorated and presented to us in a more diffused visual. We see the towering mountains, the breathtaking canyons, the purity of a hidden stream, the varied shades or colours of creation are to enable us to approach closer to the heavenly reality without terrifying us. I think good writing does this in a concrete way as well.
Anyhow, I wish her well in her writing and her faith. From a fellow Pole (Kashubian in particular).

Listening to others talk about the beauty they see helps me to see and appreciate the beauty I have around me as well.

Would you put time stamps in your videos? Sometimes I’d like to watch a specific topic in your videos but don’t have time to spend an hour watching the entire video.
For instance, I’d like to watch about her new age discussion.

@senator967 - Jest wiecej ludzi ktorzy maja nazwisko > Ciesinski < Kiedys gdy szukalam konta mojej corki gogle podrzucil mi konto - Izabela Ciesinska, grafik komputerowy, w wieku mojej corki. A moze to dotyczy innych Ciesinskich.
