In tft Mortdog has laid very clear guidelines on what is acceptable to use and what isnt. If a bug or exploit is discoverable by just playing the game normally, then its completly fair use. On the other hand, if it requires actions that no normal player would do (eg. constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to steer sion ult) then thats bug abuse. This interpretation leaves some gray room in the middle, but the pantheon teleportation bug very clearly falls under the category of "discoverable in normal play."
you are wrong and misinterpreting what mort said. if something like this was in tft then spearshot would almost certainly get banned for it, as it is intentional replication using specific inputs. in set 9.5, you could use a reforger on a unit in combat which usually wouldn't do anything, but there was a bug where it would constantly increase the units health due to a trait. despite this being an action that a normal person would do if they're fidgety, knowingly replicating it (not accidentally) multiple times means that you are exploiting the bug and would be banned. obviously we cant apply morts guidelines here to league, as riot almost assuredly knows about spearshot using this bug and he has yet to be banned
@@PotatoTortoise The exact quote is "Anything you can do by accident is a bug, and anything you could do on purpose is an exploit." Technically this wording means that everything is an exploit, but thinking logically this means that anything you can only do on purpose and not on accident is an exploit. In the video mort also shows a specific example of what counts and what doesnt. For a bug that involved 2 bloodthirsters giving extra stats, hes quoted as saying "You can play two bloodthirsters by accident. You can. And so you can do that all you want, you're not gonna get in trouble." This shows that if you can achieve a bugged result with normal game actions, its fine. On the other hand, something like the sett remover infinite hp bug, although technically you could do it by accident, you would have to repeat it constantly, over and over again to achieve any meaningful result. In the grand scheme of things like 200 extra hp on sett for 1 fight doesnt matter and is in no way a bannable offense, but ruining games by constantly spamming this over and over again certainly is. This ruling still leaves room for interpretation, but i believe that the pantheon bug is much closer to something akin to two bloodthirsters, where even if you're aware its a bug, you can still abuse it all you want without getting in trouble, than it is to something like sett abuse, which can singlehandedly ruin every game the bug abuser uses it in, and require game actions that people wouldnt otherwise do.
I agree that the bug itself is pretty minor, in how much it affects a game. But for example, if you're low and teleporting out, if there is a champ that's faster than you, let's say heca or udyr. They would normally be able to take the gate after you, chase you and kill you, or atleast delay your base. Which can also affect instances where one person is trying to delay another teams backs.
spear is right, every riven jumping walls is abusing a bug for years now, a whole lot of champions where also abusing bugs pre items rework when they could reset auto attacks with tiamat. these things all got to stop being bugs so why shouldn't what spear does?

to be fair, people could also click the portal as your clicking it knowing they cant dmg you in e but kill you after following, but they cant follow if you are in base
August said, that if a bug has been around for a bit, they more than likely know about it. And we know how fast Riot is with gamebreaking bugs. They literally just disable the champion in the game until they can fix it, if the issue is that severe. Thus we can safely assume Riot knew about this, and decided it is not serious enough to warrant disabling Pantheon until they can fix it.
Just fix the base teleport and call it a day . Why hold spearshot accountable to for riots mistake? Is he a cheeky bastard for taking advantage of it ? sure Do i want him punished over it ? no Punish the quality and testing team for leaving it in for so long without doing anything about it
In general, I don't care and the actions of Spear Shot are almost the only means for RITO to finally fix the problem, but the argument that it only saves a few seconds is dishonest. Because enemies are not always only at the base, but can also be near the same wolves. Enemies can have some LB or Kayne or Skarner etc. But trying to catch up (quite realistic for them) will only waste time, because they won't find the Pantheon where it should be.
Yea I do agree, enemy can follow the portal too afterwards or use global ult like ez ult. And you also need to find a place to base safely too without the bug.
he addressed that and said it never happens, which makes sense, why would someone be sitting in their jungle or spend 20 seconds chasing a retreating enemy while your entire base is getting cooked
@@iab3569, because they already there? Your teams always defend as 5? or maybe 1-3 people backing when others do what they do like kill dragon etc? Simply, the argument about Niko's bug is an exaggeration. The argument about "saves a few seconds and that's all" is an understatement.
Trying to catch up is in fact, quite unrealistic, when ur base is open as can be. Ur setting up assumptions that are not really practical, taking into account how the panth got there in the first place. The panth can only teleport there if he has his E and isn't CC-ed, which is quite unlikely if he has been fighting ur teammates in the base (too many variables), so sitting in the jg to wait for him sounds too niche to be considered a huge unfair advantage imo. It's not like he's alone the whole time also. Maybe he ulted into the base alone to secure a kill, then TP-ing home with that then yeah, but super super niche imo.
it doesnt. bugs can take anywhere from hours to years to fix. the timeline of riot fixing this has nothing to do with the arguement "is it a bug or feature". its a bug. its exploitable. it will be removed when riot wants it to be (as in when its a priority), & spearshots arguements cant be more flawed
@@Gorb-q4l The argument of SpearShot is literally "Why are you on my nuts about it", you completely missed the mark so it's no wonder why you think his argument is flawed. It's true too, why the f- is anyone on his nuts about it. No one cares how long it takes for a bug to be fixed. If it was really that big of a deal, Pantheon would be disabled like Aurora or Sylas was. Riot knows, they don't give a f-. A bunch of people acting like a 12 year old kid in class going to tell the teacher just for the teacher to not care. I'm sure riot games saw that tweet and laughed at anyone who cared. "Can we fix this bug by next year?" "No" "And?". Literally ask yourself that, "And". There's nothing that follows after that so it's a very clear waste of hollering.
hazmat is just a interaction addict, he was the one making tweets about everything that was happening with Dantes and Tarzaned when that happened, making it more viral with his personal opinion just for clicks
Airblade on Yasuo is technically a bug, when you ult you're supposed to loose your Q stacks but if you airblade, you will have a stack when you come down from the ult. Would all Yasuo mains be banned for "abusing" this bug? That is substantial IMO, but has been in the game since Yasuo was released.
7:00 i think the main times it might matter is when the enemy has fast champs like Camile or talon and if those champs can 1v1 you in those games or they have more then 1 like heca Camile goes and kills you after portal
I'm by no means saying it deserves a ban, but a LOT of people in the comments need to learn what a BUG in a game is... Here let me help you "A game bug is a flaw or error in a video game that causes the game to behave in an unintended way, or disrupts its normal functioning." If you read that carefully, it says UNINTENDED... which means you can have a bug be intentional. They're just lazy and wont fix the bugs, doesn't mean they're intended features in the game
Next game you get an ap shaco against you waiting for you to get out of the portal into the boxes like pink ward does. And then u get back to base .. but maybe in a different way? :D
It's been in the game for the entire existance of Hextech gates, at this point Riot just doesn't care enough until it is used in Pro play and they fine a player 10k, then they fix it
Could use this to chase a fight into enemy base then instead of getting out into hostile jungle you'd be going safely to base? Someone explain it to me in low elo how this bug could be abused to gain a substantial advantage.
Riven can do the same thing with hextech portals with doublecasting while taking the portal… she goes straight to the fountain… and we all know how many “bugs” riven has…
im going to lay down facts here: Exploiting is cheating, bug abusing is cheating, cheating is cheating, unless explicitly said that it is not cheating by the creator(s)/developer(s) then it is cheating... now what we do know about this is that it does give you a pretty severe advantage because otherwise you would have to recall for 8s wait for hp and/or mana to regen at base then you can continue... but whats happening is youre skipping half that process and can almost instantly get back into a fight with either teleport or R as pantheon gaining a pretty big advantage in potential pivotal team fights and this is not including people following you threw the portal now wasting time looking for your recall effecting the game positively for your team this is something you can not take at face value "it just cuts down on 8s" no it effects alot more then just time like it doesnt matter if someone following you threw the portal or being on the other side hasnt happened yet by abusing this exploit/bug you are negating it from potentially happening in the first place to even know if it would happen.
Here's another fact. If it really did mean something, pantheon would be disabled right now. Don't forget they can just disable champions if a bug was really game breaking just like with Sylas.
It is technically abusing a bug to get an advantage, but its just on such a small scale. The actual amount of benefit, as he explained, is low enough that doing this a couple times for stream content doesnt seem that bad to me.
brother didnt need it to reach grandmaster so who the fuck cares if he uses it in games meanwhile chatters using meta champs with meta builds with add ons abusing every bug so they can be gold 1
It is Riot's responsibility to fix their bugs. It is not the playerbase's responsisbility to play around them, so i think banning people for bug abusing is stupid. It's the same with WoW, as they've had a bunch of bugs people utilized for their own gain, but got banned for. Like ban your dev team if they can't fix the bugs and let the rest of the people play in peace.
I agree that it's fair enough after being in the fame for 7 months but the argument that saving a couple seconds doesn't matter is massive cope. A couple seconds late or early to a baron or dragon fight is super important
First it is Riots fault for not removing it and judging that Spear hasn't gotten the hammer, it's their fault for not disincentivising it aka. Feature. BUT: Being in the enemy jungle and in base can make a difference. For example the clip where he Ults with their tier 3s still up. it's not too unreasonable that someone could be in said enemy jungle and kill him. 300 gold or judging spearshot who is a good player possibly a shutdown can make a difference in a game. If he goes to base they cannot cash in on said shutdown which is one of the get back mechanics in the game. I like spearshot and it is very funny when he does it, but to say, I take the portal and base, and I appear in base are the same thing is simply not true. One more thing, in the piss elo that im in 8 seconds doesn't make too much of a difference but the higher you go it definitely does. There is a reason empowered Recall and from herald and baron are a buff in league, at the end its all about tempo.
Maybe if Riot remembered Pantheon even existed they could fix this. Game breaking bug that should result in an instant ban can't be fixed by small indie company, unfortunate, better buff Yasuo and Yone!
I dont think they should really be able to ban you for this at all, its a bug that replaces a feature on panth that would allow you to maybe outplay death but if they dont fix it you can never really know if you would have died.

spear is right, every riven jumping walls is abusing a bug for years now, a whole lot of champions where also abusing bugs pre items rework when they could reset auto attacks with tiamat.
these things all got to stop being bugs so why shouldn't what spear does?
25:38 Natty: "USE THE FEATURE!!!!🗣🔥🔥🔥"
28:43 Bro, I laughed so hard at this tantrum bro XDD He is right, so many bugs in the game that f*cks you XD just use what you can, even so if they don't freakin fix it XD LIKE THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD WRITE TO X TO THAT F*CKHEAD HAZMAT GUY!!!! xddd
if there's a pantheon on the enemy team im afking at the portal every time.
to be fair, people could also click the portal as your clicking it knowing they cant dmg you in e but kill you after following, but they cant follow if you are in base
Fking love the content Boss 😂😂😂😂 one of the best League videos ever!🎉
the game turned when he ulti it in the base lol
But he would of gotten away with the one that is an intended feature either way.
August said, that if a bug has been around for a bit, they more than likely know about it. And we know how fast Riot is with gamebreaking bugs. They literally just disable the champion in the game until they can fix it, if the issue is that severe.
Thus we can safely assume Riot knew about this, and decided it is not serious enough to warrant disabling Pantheon until they can fix it.
old spear WOULD HAVE NEVER abused this FEATURE cause it WAS NOT HERE YET!"!!1!! SAY LASS
Just fix the base teleport and call it a day .
Why hold spearshot accountable to for riots mistake?
Is he a cheeky bastard for taking advantage of it ? sure
Do i want him punished over it ? no
Punish the quality and testing team for leaving it in for so long without doing anything about it
"Hey my name is Hazmat and I'm gonna make a post about it 🤓"
"Am I lying?

we getting banned with this one 25:36
@@iab3569 going into the portal to chase is a completely normal thing to do, I don't get why you gotta make it sounds like witchcraft
As a swede, I have no fucking clue what fishue means
After this match You're the best lol content creator with no doubt

Regardless how anyone spin it, the fact that riot hasn't fix it after half a year now means a lot.
it doesnt. bugs can take anywhere from hours to years to fix. the timeline of riot fixing this has nothing to do with the arguement "is it a bug or feature". its a bug. its exploitable. it will be removed when riot wants it to be (as in when its a priority), & spearshots arguements cant be more flawed
@@Gorb-q4l "hey stop bullying the billion dollar company"
@@Gorb-q4l is this guy seriously defending Mr Rito?
@@ngconghainam15yes, in multiple comment threads. Dude is a loser
You did it on both sides tho, you just teleported to enemy fountain and died
At this point it's Riot Games fault due to not fixing this bug for such a long time EVEN after it was talked about a lot of times
hazmat is just a interaction addict, he was the one making tweets about everything that was happening with Dantes and Tarzaned when that happened, making it more viral with his personal opinion just for clicks
I just click on this video to say that if this bug has been existing for several patches, it's a feature now
25:37 WAS A CALL FOR HELP AND BATMAN CAME THROUGH
Certified banger my king.
Dw sometimes it takes Riot 14 seasons to fix some bugs. (Invisible Veigar cage)
16:50 make me feels like yes king type of video
Airblade on Yasuo is technically a bug, when you ult you're supposed to loose your Q stacks but if you airblade, you will have a stack when you come down from the ult. Would all Yasuo mains be banned for "abusing" this bug? That is substantial IMO, but has been in the game since Yasuo was released.
That's just Pantheon hidden passive. If Riot hasn't fixed it for so long then they don't care if someone does it.
7:00 i think the main times it might matter is when the enemy has fast champs like Camile or talon and if those champs can 1v1 you in those games or they have more then 1 like heca Camile goes and kills you after portal
Well, if its in game they should try banning riot, not you 😂😂 Keep it up my Man! Tell and show them! 💪🏼💪🏼
I'm here el captain
I mean if you get to suffer from the empowered w bug, you should get to enjoy the e teleport feature
I'm by no means saying it deserves a ban, but a LOT of people in the comments need to learn what a BUG in a game is... Here let me help you
"A game bug is a flaw or error in a video game that causes the game to behave in an unintended way, or disrupts its normal functioning."
If you read that carefully, it says UNINTENDED... which means you can have a bug be intentional. They're just lazy and wont fix the bugs, doesn't mean they're intended features in the game
Next game you get an ap shaco against you waiting for you to get out of the portal into the boxes like pink ward does. And then u get back to base .. but maybe in a different way? :D
"IS IT TRU THAT YOU TRIED LAYNECHK IN KOREA?"
Hazmat is a drama farming baby, always has been
It's been in the game for the entire existance of Hextech gates, at this point Riot just doesn't care enough until it is used in Pro play and they fine a player 10k, then they fix it
Could use this to chase a fight into enemy base then instead of getting out into hostile jungle you'd be going safely to base? Someone explain it to me in low elo how this bug could be abused to gain a substantial advantage.
does non-bug portal buffer jhin root?
Riven can do the same thing with hextech portals with doublecasting while taking the portal… she goes straight to the fountain… and we all know how many “bugs” riven has…
What's the outro music pls :D
5:45 omg he used the R word, thatll get you muted in League!! I take offense, as a Bronze ranked player to that word! 😢
This bug requires spear to already be in the enemy base lmao, correlation not causation.
im going to lay down facts here: Exploiting is cheating, bug abusing is cheating, cheating is cheating, unless explicitly said that it is not cheating by the creator(s)/developer(s) then it is cheating... now what we do know about this is that it does give you a pretty severe advantage because otherwise you would have to recall for 8s wait for hp and/or mana to regen at base then you can continue... but whats happening is youre skipping half that process and can almost instantly get back into a fight with either teleport or R as pantheon gaining a pretty big advantage in potential pivotal team fights and this is not including people following you threw the portal now wasting time looking for your recall effecting the game positively for your team this is something you can not take at face value "it just cuts down on 8s" no it effects alot more then just time like it doesnt matter if someone following you threw the portal or being on the other side hasnt happened yet by abusing this exploit/bug you are negating it from potentially happening in the first place to even know if it would happen.
Here's another fact. If it really did mean something, pantheon would be disabled right now. Don't forget they can just disable champions if a bug was really game breaking just like with Sylas.
"USE THE FEATURE USE THE FEATURE" Never before have I heard such a desperate man lmao
bro, q just sometimes doesnt work, idk why hazmat crying
Based off of pick rate and the 1/32 games avaliable to have the hextech soul the feature happens roughly 0.0005% of the time. Nbd
Riot is too busy laying off employees to fix these bugs man
"It has never won me a game"
>immediately wins a game with it
Can the bug/feature be used by other champs? That’s probably an important distinction
Can other champs reset riven Q or cast yasuo Q during ult animation?
@@Pchelozavr what does that have to do with what my question was or what the topic is?
@@dontlistentoanythingisay there are allowed by riot champion-specific unintended mechanics, if it is not fixed after many patches it is ok
It is technically abusing a bug to get an advantage, but its just on such a small scale. The actual amount of benefit, as he explained, is low enough that doing this a couple times for stream content doesnt seem that bad to me.
say what u want that was the greatest clip ive ever seen
Its ok spear.
Everyone makes mistakes
Now its an opportunity to learn
Internet is harsh
brother didnt need it to reach grandmaster so who the fuck cares if he uses it in games meanwhile chatters using meta champs with meta builds with add ons abusing every bug so they can be gold 1
The time frame is riot endoresed player/content creator doing it and not being punished.
Feature.
BUT:
Being in the enemy jungle and in base can make a difference.
There is a reason empowered Recall and from herald and baron are a buff in league, at the end its all about tempo.
is no one going to talk about what spear did at 17:17
Maybe if Riot remembered Pantheon even existed they could fix this.
I love his accent so much, portal is PO O
