Mindblowing_Trickshotz honestly we need him so badly. Were stacked up the middle and third is tough with wright nearing retirement due to back issues and neck. Outfield were stacked and so is our pitching assuming we're healthy

Andyonomous Wil Myers was aprt of the Trea Turner trade and If your refering to the 2015 offseason the only key player who did good was Justin Upton thats it.
Kite Wil Myers came in a three team trade, he was the key player in that deal for the Padres because he got AL Rookie of the Year, and the Rays believed they are getting good players cheap, you had Myers on second year arbitration, we signed him past his free agency till 2023 season there's a buyout on the 2022 season
Its because they dont have near the budget of other teams. His contract was up and they couldnt afford him anymore so you have to trade him to get some value in the long run.

He mostly certainly can as Will Myers is a part of the new look MLB. Speed has become the name of the game! Myers belongs to the class of firstbasemen with speed that can steal bases. As far as the Rays trading him, it was all apart of a three team deal that included Trea Turner & Joe Ross going to the Nationals and Will Myers going to the Padres ( Adrian Gonzalez aftershock). The only reason he faded is because of the amount games he played given the fact that he was injured the previous two years. In 2017 he will not fade and is going to live up to his potential. FYI, expect more trades between the Padres and Nationals in the near future, as this definitely was a trade favoring the Nationals. Remember where you heard it first!
